At Lakewood High, Phoebe Collins was walking into the school gym where she had been called to meet Jake during classes.
"Okay, Jake, why did you…?" asked Phoebe as she entered the room to find her brother standing with Hayley, Felix, Cadence, Mr. Stockley, and two of her friends.
"What's going on here?" asked Phoebe who was a little cautious of why they were all there.
"What's going on is that you three have passed a secret test that is inside the carrier aptitude one you took a few weeks ago," said Jack.
"What kind of test?" asked one of Phoebe's friends who was a boy.
"One to see if you were the right choice to become members of The Troop, an organization that hunts monsters," said Mr. Stockley.
"If this is some kind of trick to get us to join Mime Club," said Phoebe. Mr. Stockley then used the remote to reveal the monster cells under the floor.
"Whoa," said the third kid who was another girl as they all looked down at the creatures in their pins. A few even jumped at the shielded floor, which they stuck to.
"We have been fighting them since we were your age, but now that we are about to graduate we're ageing out," said Felix.
"Which is why we welcome you as the new Lakewood Troop," said Hayley. Meanwhile, in the monster world.
"Have you found a way for us to get to the human world, or do I have to add you to my collection?" asked a cloaked figure as several monsters knelt before them.
"We have finally collected enough Dimension Mites in order to open a portal, master," said a Locht.
"Excellent," said the figure as they stood from a throne made of monster skeletons.
"Because it's about time I said hi to some old friends," said the figure while removing their hood to reveal them self to be Augustus, but he had a few monster traits to him now including his left eye which was more monstrous.
