It's dark. The moon is high, the night is somber. There she sits, taking deep breaths while laying down being drenched. The water is cold enough to make anyone shiver, yet she stays still while it hits her face. Laying down in her bathtub, the water has risen high enough to her collarbone but she is in a trance and doesn't seem to notice. 'Bzzzzz Bzzzzz Bzzzzz' She finally snaps out of it and turns her head to look at her phone next to the sink. She doesn't get up but instead looks at the room around her. Everything is in complete chaos. Glass is shattered everywhere. Blood spattered from the door to the ceiling. Even the shower curtain is only halfway hanging. All of this chaos was triggered by a single memory. A memory that she had wished she could forget, even if it was a blissful one. 'Bzzzzz Bzzzzz Bzzzzz' This time, she toldvherself to stand up. Taking one last deep breath and counting to 3. '1…2…3' She slowly stands up, feeling the cold water leave her body. Moving one foot at a time to leave the bathtub, water drips heavily to the floor from the clothes she failed to take off before her mind went to the abyss.

She walks to the counter without care, letting the glass get underneath her feet, showing no signs of pain. By the time she looked to see who had called her the phone had stopped ringing. She saw It was a friend, Jakotsu. He had left her a voice mail. She gives a very heavy sigh, knowing likely what he would say. After all, she's been avoinding his calls. She decided, against her better judgment, to hear what he had to say. Before playing it, she saw one of her favorite little bottles that had a very bittersweet brown liquid inside. She took a swig of it, and instantly, she felt whole. Finally, she pressed play,

"Kagome…Kagome damn it, pick up your damn phone! I've been calling you for the last couple of days and I'm worried about you, everyone is worried about you. If you don't pick up then what am I supposed to think?...You have to learn to let him go, Kagome…it's killing you, literally. It's also killing me to see you like that…just…I just…." jakotsu made a sigh before continuing "Listen, I have a job for you. It's big. Really big. You're the only one I can count on for this type of job. It's been a while since you last took one and I honestly believe it'll be good for you…just think about it, ok? If you don't reply back soon I'll come looking for you and we both know you don't want that….just answer the damn phone!... Please, let me know that you're ok…please" that was the end of the message.

"A job, huh," she thought. She hadn't done a job since she...she

"fuck!"

She hit the mirror in front of her, making her fist covered in glass. Now there's even more glass everywhere. Kagome took another swig of her drink before pouring it on her hand, the pain throbbing but she never shows it on her face.

"It won't be long now May, look at you, you might as well take your gun and end yourself right now"

Kagome's whole body shot up, she turned her head to the right where she heard the noise by the door.

"You..what are you doing here," she said out loud.

"I'm not going anywhere, May. Not until you suffer like you made me suffer." So go ahead do it, kill yourself, I promise you it'll be the best decision in your miserable life"

Furious, Kagome takes the almost empty bottle and throws it to the man she saw before her.

"SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UUUUUUPPPP" She screamed at the top of her lungs. She closed her eyes and counted to 3. Once gets to 3 she opened her eyes and his ghost was gone. She only saw the shattered bottle on the ground. Now almost about every inch of the bathroom was covered in glass. No matter what she did, chaos always seemed to surround her. Maybe she should die she thought to herself, it would ease all her suffering. Never have to feel guilty again for her actions of the past. Deep down, she wanted to do it, to give in. But she couldn't, there are people she still had to protect and she knew that if she damned herself, he would win. And she hates it when he wins. She took her phone and gave Jakotsu a quick text.

"I'll do it"

she looked up at the broken mirror and there she saw him again. This time, he's smiling at her. His green eyes dancing, like he knew she would do that.

"Fuck you" she said as she stormed out to find another one of her favorite little bottles.
