John Phoenix was at London Airport, back where the story had began. He stood there in front of his friends Storm Sente, Richard Kingsley, Lizzy Harrison, Ryunosuke Naruhodo, Susato Mikotoba and Herlock Sholmes who came to see him off.
"Goodbye, my friends," said John Phoenix.
"No," said Storm. "Let us meet again, John Phoenix!"
John Phoenix and Storm Sente exchanged a handshake and John Phoenix departed to America.
Epilogue
Joseph Pilfnam crawled out of the rubble that once was Lupin's hideout. In the distance, he could see a man standing in alone. By the looks of it, the man had also climbed out of the ground, given he was ragged and covered in dirt.
"THIS ISN'T OVER YET, HERLOCK SHOLMES! SOME DAY, I WILL STEAL SOMETHING FROM YOU!" the man cried into the sky.
Joseph Pilfnam decided he didn't want anything to do with that.
Joseph Pilfnam ran away.
