The Death of a Friend and Father Figure
A/N: I watched a really heart wrenching episode of Full House it was where one of Jesse's relatives past away in his sleep. Ummm *wipes away tear* I got very emotional towards the end of the episode and I got very emotional when I was writing this one-shot. The episode reminded me of my dead uncle that passed away when I was in sixth grade he was my mom's little brother. When I finished it I was crying. *Sniff* But I'm okay now I feel semi better and let's just get on with this one-shot. I need to take a break from this a/n and take a breather. Roll the disclaimer! This is one of Scar's editors she forgot to mention that Aizawa has adopted Kirishima, Todoroki, Eri, and Shinso. Kirishima is a girl in this and her new name is Ellie. Now we may move onto the disclaimer!

Toshinori was about to insert his apartment keys into the hole when he paused. It's quiet too quiet for my apartment. The blonde shook away the thought and inserted his keys into the hole, and opened the door. None of the usual lights were on lighting up the apartment, and oddly enough, there wasn't a mess that he had to help Shota clean up.
"Hey everyone, I'm home," Toshinori called.
The former one for all holder frowned when no one came to greet him, the blonde headed to Ellie and Eri's room. Toshinori softy knocked his knuckles on the wooden door.
"Girls, you in there?" The man inquired.
When no answer came the tall and lanky man opened the door, the bedroom was its normal mess as it was last night, and the bedsheets were wrinkled up indicating that the bed was slept in. Odd. The retired hero thought, feeling a little bit of worry wash over him when his girls weren't in their bedroom. He left the room leaving the door open and rushed to the boys' room hoping that the kids were in there. Quiet sobbing was heard on the other side of the Shoto and Hitoshi's door and soft words of comfort. Toshinori knocked on the door. The voices hushed up and movement was heard inside and the door slowly opened. Familiar red and white-haired peeked out from behind the door making the former pro hero's worries die down a little.
"Oh hey dad." Shoto's soft voice spoke, quickly wiping away some tears with his school uniform sleeve.
"Where are your sisters? Are they with you in your room?" Toshinori asked, placing a hand on the teen's shoulder making him tense up a little.
"Yeah, they came in upset after papa got a phone call and told us about it." The half and half quirk user explained, wiping away more tears with his school uniform.
The blonde pulled his son into a hug as the latter cried into his white baggy shirt. The former number one hero soon started to run his fingers through the teen's hair to help soothe him.
"My boy when did your father get the call?" He inquired.
"I-it was during t-the last class o-of the d-day. H-he walked o-out then came back in with Hitoshi and pulled me out. W-we came h-home early s-so we didn't disturb others." Shoto explained through stutters and hiccups.
Toshinori hugged the teen tighter once he finished explaining and placed a kiss on top of the grey-and blue-eyed teen's head. The blonde looked up and saw three other pairs of eyes watching him, he opened his arms and three more figures joined the hug.
"Where's Aizawa now?" Toshinori queried.
"Last time we saw him, he rushed to his room. There was also a lot of crashing and yelling coming from the room." Ellie answered, voice muffled by the former One for All quirks user's shirt.
The tall male paled a little thinking that someone had broken in and was attacking Shota. He kept a brave face on and finally was able to get the kids off him and into their perspective rooms. He then hurried to his shared room with Eraserhead. Please, let him be ok. He silently plead, and slowly opened the bedroom door.
"Sho?" Toshinori called into the room.
What All Might saw made his heart drop. The bedroom was trashed, the dresser was pushed away from the wall, there were some bloodstains on the carpet. Which made Toshinori even more concerned. Aizawa was on the bed head in between his knees, one hand clutching his phone tightly, and his shoulders were shaking. Toshinori walked over to the bed and sat on the edge of it, and placed a soft hand on the underground hero's shoulder.
The raven black-haired male jumped when a hand touched his shoulder.
"Shota what's wrong? Talk to me." All Might begged.
Aizawa took in a shaky breath to calm his nerves and these stupid emotions. Dang, it you are supposed strong Shota dang it! He scolded himself. The shorter male lifted his head and looked into the worried eyes of his lover.
"It's nothing Toshi don't worry about it." The eraser quirk user reassured, giving a weak smile.
The blonde wasn't so easily convinced. He reached a hand and brushed away Aizawa's bangs from his eyes.
"I know it's nothing now what's going on?" Toshinori queried.
"I said it's nothing now drop it." Shota snapped, making the blonde jump a little at the tone.
Eraserhead got off the bed and made his way to the door when he was pinned against the wall by All Might –muscles and all. The shorter man struggled a little not wanting the former Symbol of Peace to see him in this state.
"Sho all I want to know is what the phone call is all about." Toshinori pressed a little more firmly. Aizawa looked away then the blonde spoke again this time more softly, "I want to know why you're all upset so I can help."
The raven-haired male placed his head against his co-worker's chest, and let out all of his frustration.
"I'm sorry." The teacher muttered.
A tanned finger lifted the shorter male's chin making, Eraserhead look into the kind eyes of Toshinori.
"Love what are you sorry for?" All Might asked, removing his finger from underneath Aizawa's chin and ran his hand through Shota's tangly hair, but still kept him pinned against the wall.
Aizawa averted his black eyes away from piercing blue ones.
"I couldn't help him when he needed it," Shota replied, feeling the stinging feeling of tears forming again.
"Shota you're going to have to better than saying "him" now who could you help?" The former Symbol of Peace inquired again.
Toshinori let go of the tired teacher, and Aizawa ran a hand through his ebony hair.
"It was Gran Torino he called me last night during my patrol to help him. I came home exhausted and I forgot about the call. That's when I got a call later today about him dying in his sleep." Shota paused feeling the annoying feeling of tears forming again. "It's my fault. If I wasn't so tired last night I could've helped him." He finished, silently wishing that he had kept his scarf on.
Shota waited for All Might to yell at him or something. None of that came instead the tall male quietly hugged Aizawa and started petting his hair. The ebony-haired man was in shock but hugged back and let out all the stress and emotions.
"It's not your fault Shota-kun; you haven't been able to get much sleep at night since you adopted Eri. You've also been busy with those new lesson plans" All Might stated.
The former number one hero picked up Shota and carried him over to the bed. He laid the eraser hero down, and Toshinori too laid down transforming back into his normal form. The blonde-haired man pulled the shorter man close to him and kissed the top of his head.
"Why are you doing this? I don't deserve this especially when I couldn't help the person that you saw as a father figure." Eraserhead asked.
Shota tensed up when the arms around his torso tightened and he was brought closer to Toshinori's thin chest.
"Because I love you and nothing and I mean nothing could make me stop loving you." The practical skeleton man replied.
Aizawa relaxed a little letting the words sink. The couple laid there in bed cuddling their breathing and heartbeats in sync. The few minutes were short-lived when the bedroom door was slowly pushed open.
"Are they asleep?" A small voice asked.
There was a pause then another voice answered, "No I think they're just laying there and cuddling."
Shota could feel Toshinori struggling to not cough not wanting to let go of the eraser hero because of a simple tickle in his throat.
"Should we leave them be?" An older female voice inquired.
A sigh escaped from the ebony-haired man's partly parted lips. He sat up little, lanky arms still tightly wrapped around his waist, and looked at his kids.
"If you wanted to come in here and lay next to us, you could've done so instead of causing all this trouble of standing there like stalkers in the doorway," Aizawa spoke, exhaustion pulling at his dried-out eyes from crying.
Toshinori elbowed the shorter man, the said man feeling the heated glare on the back of his head. All four kids flushed all together it seemed embarrassed to get caught by Aizawa for standing in the doorway.
"Are you going to stand there like a deer in headlights or what? C'mere." The strict teacher huffed, laying back down and snuggling into his personal teddy bear.
Shoto, Ellie and the others quickly sped walked to opposite sides of the bed, and cuddled up to their parents.
"Now lay still." All Might started, "I'm kicking all of you out if you start kicking us in the ribs at any point. Got it Hito and Eri?" Shota finished glaring at the normally restless sleepers.
Eri and Hitoshi quickly nodded and the family settled down and soon fell into a comforting silence. Looking over at their other siblings Shoto and Ellie couldn't help but laugh at their siblings' expressions.
"I-I'm sure that Papa is just joking. Right, Shota?" The tall blonde reassured, turning his blue gaze on top of Aizawa's mop of black hair.
"Surrrreee. Whatever helps you sleep at night." Eraserhead deadpanned, rolling his eyes which everyone in the room felt.

A/N: I'm going to leave it here because honestly I have no ideas what to put after that line so might as well leave it off on a lighthearted note. A chaptered book for MHA is in the working, and I know I keep promising a chaptered book but this time I am positive! I'm tired now and I'm sorry I haven't been doing much on here TwT. I apologize for any grammar mistakes I suck with grammar T^T.
