A woman sporting a elegant blue dress comes out of a building, the woman walks towards a car where her driver awaits for her.
"(What an awful party.)" - Thought the woman revealing herself to be Chizuru Kagura, heir of the Yata Clan and CEO of Kagura Enterprises
"(Do I really was the only single woman in that party?)" - Thought Chizuru entering to her car
"How it was your night, Ms. Kagura?" - Said Chizuru's driver Akihiro
"Bad. Akihiro, it was totally awful." - Said Chizuru sitting in the car as she closes the door.
Akihiro starts driving as both continue talking
"Was it really that awful?" - Asked Akihiro confused
"Yes, I hate going to these social parties. I know business are business but having to be hear those women from the fundation calling me the single grumpy Kagura behind my back doesn't make me happy." - Chizuru
"Ah, so that's the problem. Ignore them, is not good to let those women ruin your night, Ms. Kagura." - Akihiro
"Believe me, Akihiro. I try but is really hard when I'm basically the only single woman in these reunions. Hearing all my business acquaintances show off their husbands to me is annoying." - Chizuru
"Have you thought about using one of these online date sites?" - Akihiro
"The one time I did, I ended up knowing a man who tried to kill me. I would have been dead if it wasn't for... Yagami." - Chizuru remembered about her awful time using a date site
"How about him?" - Akihiro
"Iori?" - Asked Chizuru
"Yes, what about Yagami?" - Akihiro was more specific now
"Well-Well..." - Chizuru blushed a bit thinking about Yagami
"*Sigh* It would not work. Sadly Iori is a loss cause as he doesn't seen to care about anyone else other than himself." - Said Chizuru in a sad disappointed tone looking down
"I see. That's a shame, Ms. Kagura." - Akihiro
"Akihiro... Can I ask you something?" - Chizuru
"What is it, Ms. Kagura?" - Akihiro
"D-Do you think- Do you think I'm attractive?" - Asked Chizuru with a sad look on her face
"Of course you're very attractive, Ms. Kagura. Why are you saying that?" - Akihiro
"Is just that I don't feel attractive. Why do I have bad luck when it comes to those love themes." - Chizuru looked at the window of the car. Akihiro passed close to a restaurant where Chizuru saw a couple eating together and laugh. This kinda made Chizuru feel more depressed
"Akihiro?" - Chizuru
"*Sigh* Yes, Ms. Kagura?" - Akihiro knew Chizuru was going to ask him another question
"Do you think I'm-Do you think I'm boring?" - Chizuru
"No, you're a very fun and interesting woman, Ms. Kagura." - Akihiro was getting annoyed by Chizuru's questions
Suddenly for Akihiro's surprised a strange grey van started catching with their car
"What the hell?!" - Screamed Akihiro as the strange van started clashing with the car.
"AKIHIRO!" - Screamed Chizuru as the car started to spin after being crashed by this strange van
Chizuru's car spinned for a bit until it was left turned upside down. Chizuru despite sufering being injured in her arm tries to open the door of the car.
After strugling for some minutes Chizuru manages crawl out of the car alongside Akihiro
"Ms. Kagura, we need to call an ambulance, your arm is bleeding!" - Said Akihiro
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Just who was driving that van?!" - Asked Chizuru as both look at the van not moving
Suddenly for their surprise someone opens the door of the van.
"What is that?!" - Akihiro feels shivers as he and Chizuru see a strange creature coming out of the car
"... Is that a gorilla?!" - Asked Chizuru to Akihiro totally confused as the strange gorilla like creature walks menacingly towards them
"So you're the famous Chizuru Kagura?" - Said the strange creature in a very frightening tone
"W-Who are you! What in earth's name are you?!" - Said Chizuru panicking a bit
Chizuru tried to get up to defend herself from the creature but unfortunately she was feeling very weak
"Shut up! You're lucky the boss wants you alive!" - Said the strange seven foot tall creature grabing Chizuru from her hands with one arm
"Boss?" - Asked Chizuru
"I said shut up!" - The creature pulled a strange syringe from his pocket and injected Chizuru in her neck
"ARGH!" - Chizuru screamed in pain as suddenly she fell unconscious
"What are you going to do with her? Wait, no! Come back here! Ms. Kagura!" - Screamed Akihiro trying to get up as the strange Gorilla like creature walked back to the van carrying Chizuru's unconscious body in his shoulders
The next day
A man of red hair is seen waking up and dressing himself, he seens to be living in what looks like a very rotten apartment.
The man now fully dressed up sits on a very old looking couch, it seens to be that this man has skill with the guitar as he plays the guitar while watching the TV
"(Nothing good to see...)" - Thought the man passing through various TV channels unable to find something to watch.
"(I need to buy a replacement string.)" - Thought the man leaving the control on a random channel as he realized one of the strings from the guitar was broken
"(Grrr. I hate when this happens!)" - Thought the man looking at the broken string when suddenly something from the TV caught his attention again
"(Today in our special report, the disappearence of Chizuru Kagura!)" - Said the news's host catching the attention of this man now revealing himself to be Iori Yagami, heir of the Yagami clan, know participant of the KOF Tournaments and popular musician.
"Kagura?" - Said Iori in a low tone as he keeps watching the news channel report
The Port of Tokyo - 09:00 AM
A black car arrives at the ports as four people come out of said car, walking to where a man was being interviewed for the News.
"Is that the guy?" - Said one of the four people
"Yes, that is our ocular witness!" - Said a woman
The four approach to the large reunion of reporters interviewing this man. Chizuru's driver is with this man.
"Are you sure about what you saw, Mister?" - Asked a female reporter
"I know it was real, two strange creatures that looked like Gorillas were carrying Kagura to a boat in the night!" - Said the man in very surprised tone
"You have to believe me, I'm not crazy!" - Said the man
"That's enough! The interview is over!" - Said one of the agents interrupting the news's team
"You! Come with us for a moment!" - Said the agent ordering the man to walk with them as two of the agents stay back to dont let the cameras and reporters follow them
"As we know you saw two gorilla-looking creatures carrying Chizuru Kagura to a boat, right?" - Asked the agent
"Yes, that's what I saw. I work on this docks almost the entire time but I have never seen something like that before." - Said the old man
"By the way, who are you people?" - Asked the old man
"PSIA business. That's all I can tell you." - Said Agent Soki to the old man
"Listen, everything is good now. Try to get some rest, we will be closing the area where you saw those creatures and search for any possible clue." - Said Soki as the old man started walking away
"So what did he told you?" - Said Female PSIA agent Amy
"Well, he told me the same that he told to the news, that two gorilla-like creatures took the missing Chizuru Kagura to a boat in this exact spot." - Said Soki signaling the place
"We need to close the place to search for possible clues." - Said Agent Haruno
"I'll go for the equipment." - Said Agent July
"So, Kagura is missing..." - Said a strange voice to the four agents as they turn around to see a red haired man standing some meters away from them with his hands on his pockets
"Yes. And who are you exactly?" - Said Agent Haruno
"Sorry sir but you will have to go, don't interfere with PSIA's business!" - Said July grabing Iori's arm
"My name's not something that you should care about. And I'm not planning to go, you people look very incompetent to be agents of the PSIA. You probably will look around for clues and go after not finding anything, leaving the case as closed. Like you always do." - Said Iori removing the hands of July from his arm
"What? So that's how things are, pal? Who do you think you are to come here and call us incompetents! You better walk away if you don't want to end bleeding." - Said Haruno not happy with Yagami's comment
"Go ahead... I want to see you trying." - Iori provoked Haruno
"That's enough Haruno! Go with the rest, I'll talk with him." - Soki
"So, Iori Yagami... We meet again." - Soki
"Do I know you?" - Iori
"Of course you do! Remember me from my days in the police?" - Soki's comment made Iori remember about certain police officer that stalked him after the events of 96
"YOU! You're that annoying cop who followed me for a while!" - Iori remembered
"That's right, Iori! Back in the day you were the main suspect after the disappearing of your two partners from the KOF Tournament of 96." - Soki
"So how are things going, Iori? Why are you here interrupting our investigation." - Soki
"Because I know you clowns will not do anything about this case. I know you will end up forgetting about it." - Iori
"So that's all? I didn't thought Kagura and you were really close friends." - Said Soki
"Shut up! That's not why I'm here." - Iori
"Then why are you getting in on our business?" - Soki
"..." - Iori stayed silent for a moment
"You wouldn't get it!" - Iori
"Ok, listen Iori. We know each other for quite sometime. I talked with Kagura before back in the days I was investigating about you. She certainly defended you when I told her you were a murderer suspect." - Soki
"So whatever happens between you and her isn't of my business." - Said Soki getting an angry look from Iori after saying that
"But I promise you that I'll do anything I can in my power to make this case be closed and brought whoever kidnapped Chizuru to justice." - Soki gave his word to Iori
"In that case... I'll stay here!" - Said Iori starting walking to the place where the old man saw the two gorillas taking Kagura
"Wait! Iori, what do you think you are doing?! You can just get in on PSIA business like that!" - Soki started walking behind Iori while this one just ignored his words
Iori arrived at the crime scene, he looked everywhere until certain small shine coming from the ground of the docks called his attention
"Huh?" - Iori crouches to pick a small object on the ground. He stares at what looks like an earring with a silver sphere.
"What is that?" - Asks Soki
"One of Kagura's earrings. I have seen her wear this before. It must have been dropped from her ear when she was being carried away here." - Iori grabs the earring in his hands.
"Alright, we have our first clue. But sadly this won't tell us where Kagura was taken." - Soki
"... Don't be so sure about it." - Iori then gets up as he looks at the sky
"What? Don't tell me you're going to manage to find where is she with this small earring?" - Soki
"Actually... Yes, I do plan to find her location with this. And I know exactly who can help me." - Iori then starts walking away from the docks
"Wait, come back! That's evidence." - Soki
"You and your group stay here. I'll return with the ubication where Kagura is in some hours." - Iori
"(That Yagami, despite denying it he seens to be worried about Kagura.)" - Thought Soki as he saw Iori walking away
Stadium
A big crowd of people is seen cheering as a woman of purple hair finishes singing. This woman is Athena Asamiya, descendant of a goddess, martial artist and J-Pop Idol with psychic powers
"ATHENA! ATHENA! ATHENA!" - Screams the people of the crowd claiming their idol's name
"Thanks! Thank you everyone! You're a beautiful public, it was an honor to be here today with all of you!" - Said Athena as she starts walking back to her dressing room
"And there you have it folks, the wonderful, the beautiful phoenix of truth herself. Athena Asamiya!" - Said the man hosting the event in the stadium
Athena walks to her dressing room. Feeling happy about giving a nice perfomance.
"Another great performance!" - Says Athena as she sits on her table with a mirror
"The Phoenix of truth, huh?" - Said a male voice that resulted familiar to Athena
"*Sigh* I felt your presence ever since the show started, Iori. What are you doing here? If it is about Kyo, I don't know where he is right now." - Athena
Iori entered in the dressing room closing the door behind
"Listen, girl. Kusanagi will get what is coming to him but this time, I'm not here to ask you about that idiot." - Said Iori surprising Athena
"No? Then what are you doing here, Iori?" - Athena
"Something happened, I don't know if you have seen the news but-" - Iori then was interrupted
"Is about Chizuru isn't it?" - Athena
"... Yes, is about Kagura." - Iori
"I saw what happened to her on the news. Do you think this creatures that took her are related to Orochi?" - Athena
"No, this feels like something different." - Iori
Iori then pulls out Chizuru's earring from his pocket for Athena's surprise
"Is that?" - Athena
"Kagura's earring. Listen-I need a favor from you." - Iori didn't like having to request Asamiya's help but he know she was the only one who could help to locate Kagura
"A favor?" - Asked Athena confused
"Listen, I need-I need you to tell me where Kagura could be right now. You're the only one with the power to track where is she." - Iori
Athena was surprised by Iori's request.
"(You seen worried about Chizuru, Iori. Maybe you do have a soft spot after all.)" - Thought Athena looking at Iori showing her the earring of Chizuru
"... I'll help you! After all, Chizuru is my friend too. Give me the earring, I know what I have to do." - Athena
"Hmph!" - Iori gave the earring to Athena
Athena got up out of her chair. She then proceeded to meditate closing her eyes on the ground, breathing slowy while focusing her psychic powers on mind.
Iori sees how three orbs appear floating above Athena's head as she continues with the meditation. Athena then pulls out Chizuru's earring grabing it in front of her face with her two hands.
"(Stars and planets of the universe... Tell me. Tell me. Where is Chizuru Kagura?)" - Thinks Athena as she grabs the blood stained earring
"(The sea?)" - Athena starts seeing a sea where suddenly something appears in her sight
"(A boat traveling to an island!)" - Athena sees a strange island where a boat lands
"(Chizuru!)" - Athena sees Chizuru's unconscious body with the ear that is missing the earing bleeding
"(Where is this island?)" - Asks Athena as suddenly her view of the place is slowly returning back as she finally manages to see the location where this island is
"I know where Chizuru is!" - Says Athena opening her eyes for Iori's surprise
"What did you saw? Where is she?!" - Asked Iori
"There's this island on Pacific Ocean, let me give you the coordinates that I saw." - Athena showed Iori the coordinates of the island where she saw Chizuru was being held on her phone
"Good!" - Iori
Athena gave Iori the coordinates to this island.
"Iori wait!" - Said Athena noticing Iori about to go
"What?" - Iori
"Let me go with you! I can help you to rescue Chizuru. This island has a really strange aura, maybe you would need some backup." - Said Athena
"No! You have helped enough, I'll take care of this... You-You have nothing to worry about." - Said Iori walking away from the place surprising Athena with that last comment
"(Iori. Good luck.)" - Thought Athena
Two days later
The PSIA has reunited in the ports. Unlike the last time, this time there was more than four agents dressed in armor and preparing their equipment for this mission. Making a squad of ten agents.
"So, you're really doing this rescue mission after all?" - Said Iori approaching Agent Soki who just finishes dressing in a bulletproof vest
"See, Iori? I wasn't lying to you when I said I was going to rescue Kagura." - Soki
"Hmph! Are you trying to impress me? Isn't rescue the innocent your work anyway?" - Iori
"One just can't argue with you, isn't it?" - Said Soki doing a facepalm
"Anyway, I don't have much time. The boat will sail in a few more minutes." - Soki
"Still I'm glad you came to wish us good luck." - Said Soki
"Wish you good luck? You really think I'm here for that?" - Iori surprised Soki
"What do you mean?" - Said Soki confused
"I'll go with you and your squad." - Said Iori making every agent on the boat freeze shocked
"No! No, no, no! You maybe have fighting experience. But you're still a civilian, we wouldn't risk the life of a civilian like you in this mission." - Said Soki in a annoyed tone
"I wasn't asking for your permission. I was just letting you and your squad know that I'll be coming too." - Said Iori as he started walking to the boat
"And I hope you don't try to stop me. I trust you wouldn't do something stupid like that, don't you?" - Said Iori turning around with a sinister look in a menacing tone to Agent Soki
"(Good heavens. What does Kagura sees in a psychopath like this guy?!)" - Asked Soki to himself in his thoughts after being freaked out by Iori
"What are you looking at? Didn't you said we only have a few minutes before sailing?" - Iori
"Alright!" - Soki walked with Iori to the boat. Both men entered the boat as they prepared for their trip towards the island that Athena saw in her vision
Most of the squad members just looked at Iori looking firmly at the horizon.
"(This will be a large trip.)" - Said Soki still not happy that Yagami had come with them
Iori continues looking at the horizon as he then now looks at his hand with Chizuru's earring
