One April morning, John Phoenix was in court with his Uncle Phoenix, in the middle of a battle of words with his enemy Dylan Fitchar.

"So, I was at the park..." said Dylan.

"OBJECTION!" shouted Phoenix Wright. "Mr. Smith said you were at the crime scene! This is... a contradiction!"

"Yes!" said Dylan. "But Mr. Smith could be the one lying here!"

"WHAT!"

"Uncle Phoenix, PLEASE do not waste objections," said John Phoenix. John Phoenix gave himself a penalty. "Now look what you've done! We've got a penalty because of YOUR stupidity!"

"I'm sorry, John Phoenix," cried Phoenix.

"SILENCE, UNCLE, I have HAD ENOUGH! I am leaving FOREVER!"

John Phoenix stormed out of the courtroom.

"John Phoenix, nooooo!" cried Phoenix.

"Well, okay, let's continue the trial," said the judge. "So, Mr. Dylan, why were you at the park?"

"Why should I be at the park? It was a beautiful day! That's the perfect time to get me some exercise!"

"Understood," said the judge.

"OBJECTION!" shouted Phoenix. "That's, um... stupid!"

Phoenix got another penalty.

"Well everyone, I shall be leaving," Dylan said smugly. He was glad him nemesis wasn't here to defeat him.

"APRIL FOOLS!" shouted the door! Then the doors flew off their hinges and John Phoenix was back! "I am never leaving! As long as villains like Dylan are around I can never leave this place!"

John Phoenix stood at the defense bench again.

"I object, Dylan Fitchar! And do you know why I object? I object because you DO NOT EXERCISE!"

"YAH!" Dylan was hoping John Phoenix would stay gone so no one would notice that contradiction.

"Therefore the real reason you were at the park... was to commit murder! Mr. Smith did not lie, and neither did you in your first testimony... because the crime scene WAS the park!"

Dylan Fitchar ran away.

"Bailiff, chase that man down!" shouted the judge. "And call a carpenter to fix the door."

"John Phoenix, I'm so glad you're back!" said Phoenix in the defendant's lobby. "Sorry for getting you penalized."

"Don't worry Uncle Phoenix," said the judge. "Because that penalty was but a jest! April Fools!"

John Phoenix went home.
