"Are you almost ready?" he asked.

Kory glanced over at her husband of twenty years and rolled her eyes at him. "Dick the party does not start for another hour. We will not be late."

He watched her from where he was sitting on their bed, already dressed in his suit, grey hair slicked back in a Dick Grayson style. "You said that last time and we were stuck in traffic for thirty minutes. "

She let out a sigh as she continued to brush mascara on her eyelashes. "Honey please do not rush me."

He huffed before grabbing the tv remote from the nightstand.

"What are you doing?" she asked, peaking at him through the vanity mirror.

"Watching tv to pass the time" he said as he flipped through channels.

Kory got up with a chuckle and walked over to him, hand out. "Oh no you don't." She wiggled her fingers at him. "Give me the remote Dick."

He hid the remote behind his back with a smile. "So what I'm supposed to just sit here and watch you get ready?"

"Yes mister" she said with a small laugh. "You'll find a movie that you enjoy, get invested, fall asleep, and then we'll really be late."

"Then you better hurry up before I fall asleep" he teased.

Kory reached behind his back to grab the remote but Dick was too quick. "Give it to me Dick."

He laughed as they wrestled with one another for the tv remote. "C'mon Kor, you've been married to me for twenty years. Don't you know you'll have to be quicker than that?"

Kory pushed Dick to the point where his back hit the mattress, straddled him, and reached for the remote. Before she could claim victory Dick flipped them so that she was beneath him and he had her pinned down.

Dick glanced down at his wife and smiled down at her flushed face. He studied her, the tan skin, the smile lines and wrinkles that formed over the years, the grey hairs in her roots.

How lucky was he? After all these years and he still couldn't believe that this woman underneath him was all his. Every hour, every day, and every year she gets more and more beautiful than ever before.

Memories flashed through his mind.

He remembered his proposal to her, their wedding celebrated with their closest family and friends. He remembered the surprised looks on both of their faces after finding out Kory was pregnant with their first child, a child they never thought was possible to have due to compatibility issues with their race. He remembered how strong and badass his wife was during the delivery, never once complaining about how tired she was getting and always pushing. He remembered the feeling he got when two green eyes and a baby with black hair looked back at him. He remembered the amount of kisses he and Kory gave that baby. He remembered trials and anxiety about being a first time father but being reassured by his wife that he was doing an amazing job. He remembered the birth of their second child, this time it was planned and both were experienced and ready.

He remembered how throughout all the years they've been together, Kory was always his number one supporter and he couldn't have done any of it without her. She was the one that supported him when he wanted to change from Robin to Nightwing. She was the one that helped him construct his new uniform, helped figure out their next move to Bludhaven, and supported his regular job as a police officer.

She was his rock and he was so thankful for that.

Kory wrapped her arms around his neck, caressing his skin with her thumb. "What's going on in that head of yours?" she asked him.

"When?" he asked.

She raised a quizzical eyebrow. "When what my love?"

"When did you get so beautiful?" he asked.

She blushed and his heart did a flip, feeling like a teenager again. "I love you."

"I love you too" he replied.

Both met each other for a kiss, closing their eyes in delight and savoring this moment.
