In the cold vastness of space, the stars rippled as a spaceship emerged. It's advanced warp drive deactivated and the ship's speed slowed down just a bit as its pilots navigated their way towards the large star-shaped planet surrounded by a shooting star. Dark-green aliens with black eyes operated the controls, clad in brown uniforms and bearing ant-like antennae on their heads.

On the viewer screen, a pink-looking creature was visible and rotating slowly as info constantly appeared and disappeared every couple of minutes. The aliens had known of him and they wished to study him. This was going to be a special day for them; the day when the aliens of Zya captured the one known as Kirby and ran a special study on him.

Not so far away on Planet Popstar, Dream Land's heroic defender was sleeping under a tree and experiencing happy dreams. After defeating Star Dream the previous week, Kirby was happy to have some time for himself. Even as he enjoyed his peace, little did the young hero know that tonight had something very insane planned for him.

Waddle Dees wandered around, birds slept and Mr. Bright smiled as he looked down upon Dream Land. Mr. Shine was asleep somewhere else, he would not be awake for a while until the time came for him to provide sunlight. Nighttime was important just as daylight was important, light could not exist without the dark.

Like everyone else, Kirby enjoyed the day and accepted the night. He loved spending his time playing and enjoying the world during the daytime while sleeping at night. Even though some folks slept at night, some people including Kirby still took daytime naps. It was ok to sleep during the day and sleep at night, as long as it didn't interfere with one's life.

Today had been a refreshing day for Kirby as usual. It didn't matter what tragic or dramatic events came his way, as long as life was good, the cute and heroic pink puffball was content. Kirby quietly sat under the tree, snoring softly as he dreamed away. He dreamed of playing on puffy white clouds, spending his time with cute birds as a robed figure watched on with a smile.

In his dream, Kirby was visiting the mysterious and sacred Cloud Kingdom. One day, he hoped to visit that legendary place and see its divine ruler. Even though Kirby was indestructible, he still had a soul that was defined by his actions. His heroics made his soul pure while a few of the mistakes he made tainted it before Kirby's heroism made his soul pure again.

A yellow tabby cat from another world approached the lovable puffball, meowing and purring. Kirby gleefully scratched the cat's head and gave it attention. Just then, he could hear a rumbling sound and The Lord said, "Beware, danger is close." Outside Kirby's dream, the alien spaceship was coming closer as it had entered Dream Land's airspace right above the puffball's location.

However, while the spaceship was above Kirby, the puffball did not awaken. He was deep asleep, oblivious to any impending dangers from above. Inside the spaceship, the Zyans flipped switches and pressed buttons, making preparations for bringing aboard the pink specimen. Machinery whirred and lights beeped, the underside of the ship opened and a light glowed.

Even though Kirby was a sound sleeper, it was at this point that he finally woke up. The puffball's eyes opened and he yawned. Then he saw the spaceship up above and walked under it. Kirby realized the mistake of walking beneath the alien craft too late, a ray of light beamed down around him and Kirby found his feet leaving the ground.

The next thing the puffball knew, the light started pulling Kirby upwards towards the ship. He cried out and flailed his limbs around wildly. "Help!" Kirby cried. Unfortunately, no one was there to see his abduction and Kirby was pulled inside the spaceship. Just when he was preparing himself for the worst, the puffball felt himself being put inside a large container by the aliens.

The Zyans carried their new specimen to a large room as the spaceship took to the skies above Dream Land and flew up into space before circling Popstar. Inside his prison, Kirby wondered what was going on as science coat-clad aliens came forward to examine him. Computers beeped and electronics whirred while scientists worked tirelessly.

Kirby noticed he was not the only captured creature in this room. The puffball saw a few fish floating in some tubes while cats roamed around in large containers, playing with yarn. Hopefully, the aliens would let him go soon. A Zyan scientist adjusted his glasses and scratched his chin. Then he looked at his fellow scientist and said something in alien-speak.

Another scientist opened a box and brought out an apple, Kirby's favorite food. Then one of the scientists tapped a button and the container holding the puffball seemed to deactivate. Kirby landed on the floor softly and a Zyan flexed his finger. 'Come here.' The scientist said silently and held out the red colored apple that was in the vicinity.

'He thinks I'm hungry.' Kirby thought, 'Ok.' He wandered up towards the scientist and took the apple with both small arms, then Kirby bit down into the apple. He ate every last piece of that yummy and nutritious apple until it was all gone. Then the aliens offered him a box of apples. Unable to resist, Kirby opened his maw and vacuumed up the apples in seconds.

The aliens were mind blown; they'd just captured the most unique specimen ever! A Zyan in a dark coat hurried over to a large container and tapped a button. The shielding on the container shut down and a large green creature with gnashing teeth emerged, growling at Kirby viciously. 'A challenge, huh?' The puffball thought, 'Ok then. Let's do this.'

"RAWF!" The alien leaped towards his latest prey, eager to chomp down on the pink creature that was in front of him before going after the aliens. Kirby jumped aside and pounced on the Kor'omp. BONK! He bonked the alien in the head so hard, the creature staggered around in a daze. The Kor'omp groaned and its eyes rolled around in their sockets dizzily.

Kirby opened his maw and utilized his vacuum-like powers once again, the Kor'omp yelped as it felt itself being sucked into the vortex of doom. Terrified at what possibly awaited it inside the depths of wherever it was going, the creature tried to grab onto something. But alas, nothing could save the little Kor'omp as it went inside Kirby's mouth and vanished completely.

Upon seeing this, the Zyan scientists were amazed even more. They couldn't believe it: Kirby had just squashed one of their specimens in combat and in seconds too. One scientist came forward with a banana and put it down on a plate in front of the puffball as the other scientists took notes, another scientist even put an apple on the plate next to the banana.

SHWEEEEEEEEEE! Unable to resist his hunger, Kirby activated his vacuum powers again and inhaled both the apple and the banana in his mouth. A scientist picked up the puffball and placed him on the table for the other scientists to get a look at the semi-captured alien, one Zyan was running a scan of Kirby with an advanced computer that collected all kinds of data.

Feeling more unsure of what was happening or going to happen, Kirby tapped his head and scratched his chin. He knew that he had to get out of here and get home. Even though being kidnapped by aliens was scary, something was telling his mind that the experience wasn't too bad. Besides, at least the Zyans weren't torturing him or dissecting him.

Just then, something beeped and a voice spoke over the speakers in English. "You are a fascinating specimen, little pink creature." A Zyan said, speaking directly to Kirby, "We might take you to our home planet and run further experiments on you, but perhaps it's better if we sent you home. We sincerely apologize for abducting you, may we meet again one day."

'What a weird alien abduction.' Kirby thought as the scientists stepped back from him and began working on some machinery, 'I got kidnapped and studied, now they're sending me home.' A loud whirring sound prompted the puffball to look up at the ceiling, he watched as a claw emerged from a port up above and approached Kirby very slowly.

Then, the claw grabbed the pink hero and dragged him into the ceiling. Kirby didn't even resist, he knew that he was heading home. The claw let go of Kirby and he felt himself falling through a metallic chute that twisted and churned at a few points. Then, with a thump, he landed in a compartment of some kind. It looked like a very small room... or some kind of airlock.

BWOOSH! The room started shaking and Kirby felt himself falling again. He looked out a window and realized that he was inside a jettisoned pod that was taking him back to Dream Land. Fire surrounded the pod as it came closer towards the surface of the planet and it shook even more. Kirby looked up; he could see that the Zyan spaceship was flying away.

Kirby's pod fell and broke through the clouds, he could feel more vibrations and something creaking. Seconds ticked by and the puffball grabbed onto something just in case, he braced himself for the inevitable landing that was coming up. Two minutes later, Kirby felt a massive bump. The pod had landed and he was safe, completely unharmed.

KA-THUMP! A hatch fell off and Kirby breathed in the night air as he stepped out of the fallen pod, the puffball was back in the countryside of Dream Land. A few birds surrounded the pod and looked at Kirby before they flew away. Looking at the nearby tree, Kirby yawned and headed over to it. After all that alien business, it was time to get some sleep once again.
