Austin POV

Everything was normal. Kayla was teaching a group of campers how to shoot an arrow while perched in a tree, while I enjoyed the time I had off before my shift in the infirmary.

I was strumming some cords on my guitar, preparing for the campfire tonight when Travis Stoll burst into my cabin.

I dropped my guitar in surprise, and said some very not nice things in ancient greek. "What the heck, man!" I shouted, throwing my hands up in the air.

Travis wasn't fazed by my cursing or the fact that I was angry he just had a terrified look on his face.

"What's wrong?" I immediately knew something had to have happened, I stood up and walked towards the older boy quickly.

"Austin… It-its Will." He whispered.

"What?" I asked.

"He collapsed, and no one knows why. Connor went to get Kayla, I came to get you, come on, we have to get to the Infirmary now."

I nodded numbly, and chased after Travis though I fell behind, damn those Hermes kids were fast!

When I finally made it to the Infirmary I ran to the bed that everyone was crowded around. I pushed my way through the group, trying to get to my older brother.

When I reached the bed I froze. William was on an IV, and hooked up to a ventilator. He was pale, and his hair was sticking to his forehead.

He let out a low whimper, and I froze again. The entire crowd was whispering to each other, everyone knew Will, he'd treated everyone at some point or another.

Everyone moved out of my way simultaneously as I went around to check his vitals quickly.

"What is going on!?" Oh no, that was Kayla, clearly Connor hadn't told her why she was needed in the infirmary asap.

"What in the world?!" She shouted, pushing past Clarisse who even looked worried.

"W-will?" She asked, finally laying eyes on the suffering Son of Apollo.

"K…" I whispered moving towards my sister.

"What happened?" Her voice was low, and curt.

"Kayla-"

"Who do I have to beat up, Austin!?!?"

"We don't know. He just fainted." Sherman Yang cut in.

I froze remembering something. I turned to my sister with a worried expression on my face, and an angry one on hers. "Kayla, do you remember seeing him sleep lately?"

She thought for a moment. "No." She finally decided.

I turned to the small gaggle of campers assembled before me. "Has ANYONE seen him EAT lately!?"

As Kayla did everyone thought for a moment, before all shaking their heads.

I whipped around to face my brother who was still unconscious. "That stupid jerk hasn't left the infirmary in days!"

"He must've left at some point." Damien commented.

"No, I don't think he has, I asked him to judge one of our contests the other day, and he said 'Sorry, can't today, too busy.' And went back to work!" Laurel cried in outrage.

"Seriously Will!" Kayla barked at him even though he was still unconscious.

"Where's Di Angelo, he should know about his boyfriend trying to murder himself from starvation, and sleep deprevation." Alice made a very good point.

"I'll my mom message him. He's been in the Underworld on vacation for almost 2 weeks." Butch told them, before running out.

Before I could stop her Kayla shook Will awake. "Huh?" He asked, taking in all the people gathered around his bedside.

"WILLIAM ANDREW SOLACE! WHAT IN THE HADES IS WRONG WITH YOU!

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED BACK IN THE INFIRMARY FOR TWO MONTHS AFTER THIS, UNLESS ITS FOR HEALING, AND FROM NOW ON YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WORK FOR MORE THAN 5 HOURS AT A TIME.

YOU WILL SLEEP 8 HOURS A DAY, AND EAT 3 MEALS, WITH SNACKS IN BETWEEN!

DOCTORS ORDERS, AND I SWEAR IF I FIND OUT YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS AGAIN I WILL SEND 20 ARROWS THROUGH YOUR SKULL!

I WILL BRING DAD INTO THIS, AND YOU KNOW HOW OVERPROTECTIVE HE GETS, SO I SWEAR ON THE STYX YOU BETTER NOT DO THIS AGAIN!!!

DO YOU FREAKING UNDERSTAND ME, WILLIAM?! DO YOU?!" Will blinked before nodding.

I rubbed the back of my head, and turned to face the other Campers who all looked both surprised, and impressed that someone like Kayla had THAT in her.

"Scary, isn't she?" I smiled. They all nodded, still having 'surprised pikachu face' written all over their expressions. I almost laughed that time.

"Wow, Kayla, that rivaled MY rants!" Katie cracked a smile. "I don't know whether I should be jealous or impressed."

"A bit of both I think." Miranda said off handedly, and Katie nodded in agreement.

Kayla blushed, she had forgotten that they had all bared witness to her biting her brother's head off like she did.

"WILLIAM!" A voice came from outside. Oh, shit, Nico was back, and he was PISSED!

Time Skip

The next morning Kayla and I thought Will was healthy enough to come back to the cabin.

The first thing Kayla did was shove 6 candy bars, two blueberry muffins, and a waffle down his throat.

"Don't you ever scare us like that again." She said bitterly, and the undertone that was left there made me understand fully that she wasn't kidding. I hoped for Will's sake he didn't do anything along the lines of refusing to eat, or working long shifts again.

But I knew in my heart Kayla and I wouldn't let that happen, and if it did, well, we'd just have to bring in the big guns.

Aka Phoebus Apollon, the god of the sun, and a bunch of other useless stuff, our dad.

And Zeus knows he has a soft spot for Will.

I walked out of the Cabin to talk to Kayla. "His first trip to meet Nico's dad, better not be upon his death." She growled.

I smiled softly. "Naw, his death'll probably he when he asks for Hades permission to propose."

"I'd say you're right, but I think Hades likes that Nico isn't as gloomy as he usually is." Kayla shook her head, and restrung her bow.

I sighed. "We should probably go back inside, and make sure Will doesn't try something stupid like try to sneak out, and take a shift in the freaking Infirmary."

"He better not do that." She said through gritted teeth. I had no doubt he'd try though.

I turned and looked at the camp I called home before going inside to get ready for bed.

I loved this weird disfunctional family.
