While my brother Naruto got our father's looks I inherited our mother's. When you put those together it's really amazing how stupid the general populace of Konoha is. But that is not important right now. It is currently the summer break between years at the academy and I have some things I need to get, but first to see an old man about some sweet fuuinjutsu (i.e. a way for me to fall back on my seal knowledge without raising red flags) and more chakra control excercises. I have been in the past for four years already and have been working on my chakra control, physical conditioning (aided with seals), eating habits, and basic knowledge such as history.
I walk to the hokage tower and wait for an opportunity to see hokage-jiji.
"Hey jiji I had a couple questions for you."
"Hey Mina-chan I'll answer if I can. You know there are some things I can't tell you and your brother until you make chunin though."
"First off jiji I need a scroll about more advanced chakra control excercises. The leaf sticking excercise just isn't giving me the control of my chakra that's needed for the bunshin. According to what I've felt from other people my reserves are quite large for an academy student which is why I am having difficulty with the bunshin no jutsu."
"Well Mina-chan that's something I have no problem helping you with. Especially since you are trying to correct the issue of your control without looking for shortcuts. So let me see. Ah here it is. This scroll explains the different chakra control excercises up to the level needed to begin medic training. However, I must insist that you master one excercise at a time before moving on the next. Understood?"
"Hai jiji. I'm not looking for shortcuts I'm just tired of always struggling to do a simple bunshin I mean everyone else in the class except me and Naru-nii have it down."
"That's understandable Mina-chan. What's your next question?"
"I want some books on fuuinjutsu. When Iruka-sensei was teaching it to us it just kinda clicked and I want to learn more about it because it seems like it would be something that I could be good at. Iruka-sensei told me it takes a long time and lots of study to be good at it though so I figured I would go ahead and ask you about it. Since it's something that interested me."
"Hmmmmmmmm. Mina-chan if I give you books on fuuinjutsu you have to promise me that you won't try to move through the material too quickly. Without understanding the basics moving on to more advanced theories can be deadly."
"Well jiji how about each time I finish one of them I come to you and take a test on it that way you know if I'm understanding it or struggling with it at all. Would that work?"
"Hai Mina-chan that would be perfect. Just make sure you don't try skipping class to study fuuinjutsu. I expect you to pay attention in your classes especially now that you're going to be studying extra outside of class understand?"
"Hai jiji thank you." I gave hokage-jiji a hug before grabbing the scrolls he had for me and leaving. I had a plan already forming in my head.
Minashi had a secret and nobody knew it not even Naru-nii. So far she had four maxed of each weight, resistance, and gravity seals. She also had started on a fifth set of each. She had also added some to Naru-nii but at a slower pace so no one would know.
Between physical conditioning, practicing ninjutsu (and having all 5 elements gives her much more she has to work on), taijutsu, genjutsu, kenjutsu, fuuinjutsu, and studying for her academy classes Minashi had a full schedule for the next 4 years. But she always made sure to up her seals when her body was used to it as well as her brother's. She did manage to get him to do some physical conditioning but anything other than the laps around the training grounds, push ups, sit ups, crunches, pull ups and what not he didn't bother with, well other than tree walking and water walking that she told him would help his chakra control (still wasn't enough to make a bunshin though). She also got him to stop eating ramen for every meal as she took it upon herself to take their food budget and actually buy groceries. The only thing she didn't manage was getting Naru-nii to stop wearing kill me orange. Couldn't even get him into black and dark orange. Whereas she already had her outfit picked out for after she graduated the academy. It was black and dark red loose fitting pants that hugged her hips with a black belt inscribed with fuuinjutsu, black chest bindings and a black tube top that came down to just above her navel, a long sleeve chakra metal mesh overshirt, black steel toed boots reinforced with fuuinjutsu. She also had special grade fuuinjutsu and chakra metal enhanced hair ties so she could put her long red hair up in a bun. Anyone trying to grab her by the hair would be in for a nasty surprise.
Right before the end of the year exams Minashi returned the fuuinjutsu scrolls and the chakra control scroll to hokage-jiji. She had also passed her mastery exam for fuuinjutsu at just 12 years old and boy was jiji astounded by that fact, but it's understandable fuuinjutsu was in her blood (not to mention she had mastered it before the trip back). In the last 6 years Minashi had spent time scrounging up weapons and whatnot in the training grounds and forests to come up with the funds for her ninja gear and fuuinjutsu supplies (using henged shadow clones of course). Minashi was just happy that her katana Crimson Princess traveled back with her since she was stored in her mindspace with Kurama and the other bijuu. So with everything that she scrounged up she had plenty to purchase her ninja gear, secondary katana (made to look just like Crimson Princess so no one would ask questions), sealing supplies, emergency med kits,etc etc.
Minashi had added many seals to her body, the most common were the multitude of storage seals that littered her body. Some held rations and water, some held emergency medical supplies, some held chakra pills, a few held sealing supplies, a couple were dedicated to weaponry, one was dedicated to trapping materials, she had some down her right arm that designated each different element and held jutsu scrolls on each of them, she also had general knowledge scrolls, genjutsu, and iryoninjutsu scrolls sealed in corresponding symbols. She had a seal that made her chakra level read as that of a civilian, another that removed it completely. She also had a small blood seal that disguised her Shinigan that she had applied when she first came back. Her pride and joy was the seal that kept dojutsu from being able to affect her. She put this on each of the bijuu and on Naru-nii. She also create a blood henge seal that was on the back of her neck (untraceable physical henge). She had maxed out 8 sets of weight, resistance, and gravity seals so she added a ninth set of each. She had also told Naru-nii about them and he was happy she was helping him get stronger. He had a sixth set of each on him. She recreated and perfected Tsunade's strength of a hundred seal, hers doesn't affect her vitality it's mainly an advanced chakra storage seal she had 2 one looked like a diadem across her forehead and the other looked like a choker around her neck. Her secret weapon though was the break down, recreation, and improvement of her father's hiraishin no jutsu. She got lucky when she found the kunai in the training ground.
-The day of the genin exam-
I don't remember the genin exam being so easy or boring for that matter. I passed with flying colors and Naru-nii failed again. But it's necessary. Mizuki-teme has to pay.
When I got home Naru-nii told me what Mizuki told him and I volunteered to go along as a 'witness' to make sure he passed. While Naru-nii was practicing the shadow clone jutsu I whipped out a blank scroll and using a copying array to have a copy of the different jutsus. After the copied scroll was sealed away I studied the bottom of the scroll and found a note from our father locked with a blood seal. Biting my thumb I took the contents out and sealed them in my left forearm.
Jiji should be sending someone any time now I did send him a note explaining what Naru-nii told me and that I was going with him to the meeting point.
Everything happened almost the exact same as last time. Except this time Iruka-sensei didn't get hurt. After Mizuki was beat up by Naru-nii and Iruka-sensei gave his headband to Naru-nii we went to see Hokage-jiji and told him what happened. After that we went out for celebratory ramen. Some things never change.
-Next Day/ Team Assignmentts-
I got a lot of attention when I entered the classroom in my ninja gear with my hitae-itae attached to my belt and my katana. I glanced at everyone before making my way to the open back corner near the windows. Away from the Uchiha brat. Everyone made a commotion about Naru-nii having a headband. Idiots. If people didn't purposefully hold him back he would have graduated already. I had a reason for waiting this long at least. Had to get my body up to par for C rank missions after all. I wonder who my sensei will be this time around. Last time I was with Anko-chan. Finally, I think he's through with the civvie teams.
"Team 7 will be Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Uzumaki Minashi. You're jonin sensei will Hatake Kakashi. Team 8 will be-"
Well damn. I guess jiji did the rookie of the year, kunoichi of the year, and deadlast team. I wonder how this will change things. Especially since I know for sure if the Uchiha tries to defect I'll just permanently block his chakra with a seal or kill him. Who knows.
-2 hours later-
"When's our sensei going to get here I'm bored!"
"Naru-nii. According to jiji Hatake-san would be at least 2 hours late to his own funeral. The probability of him showing up on time unless threatened is nil."
"Fine I'll just prank him imouto." Naruto grabbed an eraser and set it up to fall on their sensei.
After another 10 minutes their sensei opened the door to be hit with an eraser. "My first impression of you all... is I hate you. Meet me on the roof in 5 minutes."
We hussled to the roof where he asked us to introduce ourselves after giving us a lame ass introduction where all we learned is his name.
"My name is Uchicha Sasuke I dont have any likes or dislikes. My dream, no my goal, is to kill a certain man and rebuild my clan."
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto. My likes are Ramen, Minashi imouto, and training. My dislikes are the 3 minutes it takes for ramen to cook and people who judge me for something I have no control over. My dream is to be a Hokage that surpasses all other Hokage."
"My name is Uzumaki Minashi. My likes are Naru-nii, jiji, training, fuuinjutsu, and reading jutsu theory. My dislikes are prejudiced people, selfish people, people who think they are better than others, people who exert their vision on others, but especially people who can't tell a kunai from a scroll. My goal is to be Konoha's strongest kunoichi, protect my precious people, one day make ANBU commander, and of course to help Naru-nii achieve his dream."
"Alright then. Meet me at training ground 7 at 5 am tomorrow for a survival excercise. If you don't pass this test you go back to the academy. This test has a 66% failure rate which means only 9 of you will pass. Another thing don't eat anything or you might throw up!" Their sensei disappeared in a shunshin.
Naru-nii and the Uchiha left me alone on the roof where I smirked mischievously. I spent the rest of the evening gathering information on Hatake-san. From the academy archives to the mission reports (gotta love seals and being super stealthy) to asking other jonin about him. In the end she had all the information she needed to formulate a strategy.
-The next morning 530 am-
I woke Naru-nii up and made him to get ready before we sat down to eat. When we were finished we headed to training ground 7 to prepare for our sensei. We got there at 6 to see a disgruntled Uchiha. I tossed him a premade bento and sat down explaining what I found out about Hatake-san with my digging. Including the probability of this being an excercise that sets us against each other even though he wants us to work as a team. I also pointed out that Konoha is based on 4 man cells with a jonin and 3 genin. With that we all agreed to work together and complete whatever the mission is.
-An hour later-
Our sensei finally showed up. Turns out we were right. He tried to get us to work against each other to get two bells. The Uchiha and I jumped away to leave Naruto to start the distraction. While Hatake-san was focusing on Naru-nii I set traps in the area with the aid of shadow clones before signalling the Uchiha who jumped out and shot a fireball at our sensei. He used the kawarimi to escape and set off a series of traps in the process. I used the distraction of the traps to grab the bells before rejoining Naruto and the Uchiha.
20 minutes later our sensei stumbles out of the forest looking worse for wear.
"Ne sensei are you alright? You look a little rough around the edges?"
He glared at me and was about to retort until I jingled the bells which grabbed his attention. I split the bells and tossed one to each of the boys.
"Ne sensei did we pass your teamwork test?"
"Yes, yes you passed. Meet me here tomorrow at 8 am for missions."
-Hokage's office-
"Team 1 failed."
"Team 2 failed."
"Team 3 failed."
"Team 4 failed." Hatake Kakashi snuck into the office and buried his nose back into his book. (Only 30 minutes late at that).
"Team 5 failed."
"Team 6 failed."
"Team 7 passed." There were sounds of several people choking. "What happened to you Kakashi?" "My genin team happened to me. See I thought it was going well gave them the old only two of you can pass spiel and when I said begin the Uchiha and the girl disappeared. Leaving Uzumaki Naruto to face me. To start out it wasn't really difficult. He just spammed shadow clones and tried to keep my attention with taijutsu. When suddenly from my left the Uchiha shoots a fireball at me. Which again was no problem as I used kawarimi to escape. This is where my problem starts. One of my genin used the time I was distracted to trap the forest. As I was dodging kunai, shuriken, senbon, paper bombs, etc etc. By the time I got out" he gestures at himself "this is what I looked like. Then she has the gall to mock me, me an elite jonin, by asking me if I'm alright and telling me I looked a little rough around the edges. I was about to snap at her when she jingled the bells that were their target in the excercise. Which means that while I was avoiding traps she A) managed to sneak up on me, an elite jonin, in a high stress situation B) managed to avoid all traps and projectiles in said situation and C) collected their objective off my person without alerting me to her person. She then splits the bells and tosses one to each of the boys. At this point she asked me if they passed my teamwork test. Which tells me that sometime after I told them to meet me at the training ground she managed to collect enough information on me and my genin test to come up with a strategy to use against me, convinced the other two to work with her, and none of them gave their plan away. So Hokage-sama my conclusion is you have stuck me with a team that has 2 boys and a monster." By the end everyone was laughing at the Hatake's situation. It took a few minutes for them to settle down enough to continue.
"Team 8 passed."
"Team 10 passed."
-Next morning training ground 7 at 5 am-
Naruto and I got to the training ground early so we could get our morning excercise in. No point in getting rusty. Besides we'll only be doing D ranked missions (aka chores) until we have completed enough d ranks to qualify for a c rank and our sensei thinks we're ready. At 8 am the Uchiha showed up and just watches us go through the excercises.
At 930 we start a cool down and then stretch to make sure we don't lock up or get cramps. I unseal a couple bottles of water and hand Naru-nii one.
At 10am on the dot our sensei shows up and takes us to get our first mission. We painted a fence and delivered groceries on our first day. We were done by 3 pm when our sensei released us. The Uchiha went back to his home and Naruto went to get some ramen with his pay.
I however stuck around in the training ground and decided to work on my charkra control and some fuuinjutsu. I created 320 shadow clones and had 50 of them doing chakra control, 100 working on elemental manipulation (20 for each element), 50 each on genjutsu, ninjutsu, iryoninjutsu,, and the last 20 I sent to the library henged to work on memorising anything we haven't already while I pulled out my fuuinjutsu supplies and set to work on finishing my latest idea, Fuuin beads. That can be used to track progress in training and a person's overall health. I made one of the secondary beads a storage seal, another one which would record a persons spar and that could also be used to pick apart unknown fuuinjutsu. After completing the first bracelet I slipped it on and fed my chakra into each of the beads, when that was done my vitals and base stats popped up. Seeing that it was working I made 2 more sets. One for Naru-nii and another for jiji. After that I moved on to finish my next project. A paired set of scrolls for long distance communication. I based it off our headsets and tweaked the frequency after that I added a modified space/time overlay that allowed for long distance communication. With that done I headed off to see jiji after giving my clones orders to dispel at 11 in small groups.
-Hokage's Office-
"Hey jiji I made a couple things for you. First there is this." I handed him the fuuin beads. "Put it on and feed your chakra into the first 3 beads. It gives you your vitals and base stats. I came up with it as a way to track my training progress and overall health."
"Mina-chan this absolutely astounding. If we could have these for all vetted shinobi we could track which shinobi are being lazy and which ones are actually training like they are supposed to. We could also modify it and maybe use it to help with diagnosis in the hospital which would allow us to treat patients more effectively."
"Well jiji I have the plans made up already if you can find someone to mass create them. We can make a company called UzuNami and use that for the money that would be made. If I make enough I'd like to buy and remodel the building that Naru-nii and I live in. But that would be after I place a series of seals on the building itself. But anyways this is the last thing jiji. It's a set of paired long distance communication scrolls. I tweaked the frequency used with our headsets and added a modified space/time overlay which allows for the conversion of chakra to the correct frequency which then imprints the message onto the paired scroll. It erases the message after a response is sent."
"Mina-chan. This alone could affect the percentage of missions that are checked off as failed for not being able to return information to Konoha fast enough to have a positive effect."
"Yeah I figured it would be helpful jiji I was just trying to think of things that would help make my precious people's lives easier. I also have the diagrams for making the scrolls ready as well that way you can have them mass produced. The only thing is that currently the max number of scrolls that can be connected is 2. But it's still better than nothing. Anyways jiji I gotta go find Naru-nii before he spends all his money on ramen. Love you!"
The next couple of weeks passed by pretty much the same. Monday- Friday Mina and Naru would get up at 4 and start training at their training ground at 5. Slowly adding more of each excercise/ increasing their seals when it got too easy. At 10 am their sensei would show up and they would do between 2-3 d rank missions and get released around 3 pm. The Uchiha would grunt and go off on his own and Naru would sometimes stay and train or go off and eat ramen. Minashi however was always training after missions to increase her skillset. What she trained changed each day. She was slowly regaining some of her old abilities and improving ones she didn't have before. She created a genjutsu that latches onto the persons mind and they feed the illusion themselves which makes it, if not impossible to break, than at least very difficult. On the weekends she spent saturdays doing physical training and sunday studying theory or working on fuuinjutsu.
She was coming out with more products for her company UzuNami on an almost daily basis. She had bought the building her and Naruto live in (jiji finally realized that Minashi knew about her parents and transferred her inheritance to her company's account). She updated the seals on the building and had 20-30 clones working on fixing the building up. Tearing down walls, tearing up carpet, changing the rooms around, making them better, building a fence in the back and adding a private hotsprings/ spa. There were training grounds on the land. There were also a couple of dojos inside. There was a large kitchen and dining area. In the end she was happy with the progress. Especially since she didn't let Naruto help with the decorating so there was no orange anywhere except his bedroom.
-Catch Tora!-
I was laughing so hard I was crying while watching Naru-nii, the Uchiha, and our sensei chasing Tora. They had been at it almost 2 hours. Why am I not helping you ask? All 3 of them completely disregarded my idea. So I'm letting them suffer the consequences. I had already sent off a clone to get the supplies I needed. I was just waiting for them to ask for my help. Because I'm not getting scratched by a cat just because other people want to do things the hard way.
It took another hour before they gave in and asked for my help. At which point I took out a baggy of cat treats and shook it. Lo and behold Tora came straight to me and let me pick her up. I fed her a couple of treats on the way back to the mission desk. Acutely aware of the dirty looks I was receiving from my teammates who had been used as a kitty scratch post.
When we entered the mission assignment room several people laughed at my teammates but even more were looking at me curiously. I guess catching Tora is supposed to be difficult. Who knew?
After the boys explained their part of the mission it was my turn to explain my part. I explained it quite simply. I told them I bribed the cat with treats. Several people were left gaping at me, a few genin were banging their head against the wall, and of course jiji was laughing.
After that it was another uneventful but busy week.
-In which Team 7 receives a C rank-
So my nii-san finally snapped and asked jiji for a harder mission. I'm surprised it took this long. He hasn't been as busy as I have after all.
We were give a mission to protect Tazuna a bridge builder from Wave. I don't know if it's because I can sense emotions or something else but I have a bad feeling about this mission. Which is why I made some special preservation seals and stocking up on enough staples to last a few months. I'm storing rice, fish, vegetables, chicken, spices, flour, etc etc etc. Everything I can think we might need probably more than enough to wage a small war. That's just food. That's not including field rations, bottled water, med kits, trap supplies, kunai, shuriken, senbon, poisons, antidotes, chakra pills, etc. I really think I just packed up war supplies. I was about to call it done when Kurama pulled me into the mindscape and reminded me what my brother told me about his mission to wave the first time around. So with some advice from Kurama and the others I went and bought more supplies. Mainly food and medical supplies to try and help the people of Wave. Maybe this time Naru's friend Haku and his father figure don't have to die. Maybe that would help change the future for the better.
-The next day at the gates-
Naru-nii and the Uchiha (I think Kurama's dislike of the clan keeps me from calling him by name) both had heavy packs on their backs. I chuckled maniacally in my mind. Why does no one think of seals? Oh while we're in Wave I might detour to Uzushio and get the stuff out of the vault. It was there in my time so it's definitely there now and it would be great to have my summons back. Hmmmm I can probably send two reinforced shadow clones with a siphon seal to connect one of them to my chakra and give them a vial of my blood put in a preservation seal. Yeah that sounds like it would work.
"Mina-chan where is your pack?" Ah so sensei and the client have arrived.
"I use storage scrolls and seals sensei. That's what most of my tattoos are." He looked surprised for a moment before just nodding.
We had been walking a couple hours before I used ANBU sign for genjutsu trap ahead. Kakashi-sensei's eye widened at the use of sign language but what can I say I get bored and find books to read.
Two figures leapt out of the puddle after we passed and appeared to cut Kashi-sensei to ribbons I was on one of them quickly I broke the chain connecting their gauntlets, slapped a modified paralysis seal on him and sealed him in a prisoner transport scroll. I turned to the other brother in time to watch Naru freeze I used shunshin to get between them and pulled out another paralysis seal before dodging a strike with the gauntlet and slapping the seal on him. Once he hit the ground I had another prisoner transport scroll out and had him sealed away like his brother. I really need to see about modifying a set of paralysis seals to automatically send the target to the prisoner transport scroll. It would save valuable time.
At this point Kashi-sensei stepped out of the woods and spoke to the bridge builder. It was a unanimous decision to continue the mission.
-A couple days later-
"Get down!" At sensei's yell I pulled the client down and kicked Naru's feet out from under him. We hit the ground just in time to avoid a massive cleaver.
I stay back and watch as sensei takes on the demon of the mist. Until he gets caught it a water prison.
"Sensei... You used to be ANBU. You're supposed to be an S-ranked ninja... and you just got caught in a b rank water prison jutsu. You must have really slacked off on your training. I'm surprised jiji hasn't demoted you. Especially with your habit of being late to everything. You know what bothers me the most though? I have to show one of my aces; BECAUSE you got caught."
Kashi-sensei was about to respond when I summoned Crimson Princess to my hand. I removed the sheathe and she glowed a dark red. I lowered myself into the first stance of Uzu Arashi. The fastest most turbulent of the Uzumaki kenjutsu styles. I took a deep breath and shot across towards Zabuza. I dodged the swing of his sword before appearing next to water prison swinging my sword toward the arm he was using to keep the jutsu up. He jumped away releasing the water prisoner and I used shunshin to return to the client.
It took another 10 minutes of back and forth jutsu between Kashi-sensei and Zabuza before sensei knocked him back. Before he could take the final blow 2 senbon were shot into the back of the neck and out came a "hunter nin". They took Zabuza and his sword and disappeared. Kashi-sensei lowered his headband back over his Sharingan and just about collapsed. I rushed to him taking a chakra pill from one of my storage seals and threw it in his mouth before he could complain about me removing his mask, that done I turned back to my team.
It took us another 2 hours to get to Tazuna's home, we made it there just after dark. By which time both of the boys were exhausted. I think it was the stress of the situation coupled with jonin level killing intent. After introductions I followed Tsunami-san to the kitchen where I unsealed some of the staples I had brought along. Namely rice, vegetables, fish, spices, etc. I could tell she really appreciated it. I left her to sort it out. I would just be in the way since I don't know where she wants everything.
I walked out of the house and hopped up to the roof to just relax and look at the stars. I had been out here about an hour when I felt sensei approach.
"So you know kenjutsu, you have a sword I've never seen before, your speed is a lot higher than I assumed it would be as a genin, you can make snap decisions in a high stress situation, you know how to diagnose chakra exhaustion without using a jutsu, you carry chakra pills, and have the necessary staples to feed the team sealed on your person. Any other surprises in store for me or was that it? Because honestly seeing you heading towards Zabuza to get me out of the water prison scared me."
"Well Kashi-sensei. There are actually a lot of surprises in store for you. I guess I can give out some of my secrets as long as you don't tell anyone. Hokage-jiji already knows though. Let's see where to start. I passed my test for mastery in fuuinjutsu. The fuuinjutsu company UzuNami belongs to me. I know who my parents are (if you couldn't tell by what I chose to name the company). Jiji gave me my family scrolls when he found out I knew. He just made me promise not to tell Naru until he's at least chunin but preferably jonin. I unlocked the Uzumaki kekkai genkai, which means I have the Adamantine Sealing chains. My sword is, in my opinion, my greatest piece of fuuinjutsu yet. She's sentient sensei and her name is Crimson Princess. I have been working on elemental manipulation and genjutsu. I read everything I can get my hands on in my spare my time. Whether it's jutsu theory, fuuinjutsu, medical journals, field guide for hunter nin, novels. Just anything. I don't like being bored. I bought and remodeled the building Naru and I live in. After this mission I plan on learning my dad's jutsu. But other than that I dunno what else to say."
"A lot of surprises indeed. Your father was my jonin sensei. I don't think I would have been even half the man I am today if he hadn't been in my life. He and my teammates were responsible for showing me what was actually important in life. You and your brother both have so much potential and I'm looking forward to seeing how strong you both become."
"Thanks sensei. Ne are you gonna train us? Because we both know Zabuza and his little pet are alive and out there."
"Yes I plan on training you all starting tomorrow. That's actually one of the other reasons I came out here the last is that Tsunami said the food would be ready in 30 minutes so lets go eat."
-The next morning out in a clearing near Tazuna's house-
"Ok the first thing I am going to teach you is tree climbing."
"Ne sensei Naru and I already know the tree walking excercise. We've also done water walking as well."
Kakashi rubbed his eyes tiredly. "Ok Sasuke do you know the tree climbing excercise?"
"Hn what good is climbing trees gonna do me? I need to get stronger to defeat him."
"The tree climbing excercise is a chakra control excercise it gives you greater control over your chakra, allowing you to use less chakra each time you use a jutsu. Which means two things. One you can do more jutsu than someone who has less control and two it reduces the risks involved with learning some of the higher ranked jutsus."
After sensei got the Uchiha started on the tree climbing excercise he started asking about other chakra control excercises. He set Naruto to doing the tree climbing and leaf sticking excercise at the same time. When I told him what excercises I worked on regularly including ways that I improved them he told me to go to the bridge. Which is how I ended up here. I create 2 reinforced shadow clones and slapped a siphon seal on one. I took out a kunai and sliced my thumb filling a vial with my blood before sealing it in a custom preservation seal and handing them a couple storage scrolls giving them directions to take everything from the vault, seal it, and come back as quickly as possible.
While guarding the bridge builder I made 325 clones and had them divide. 50 to work on chakra control, 100 to work on learning jutsu, 100 to work on elemental manipulation, 25 to work on fuuinjutsu ideas, 25 to work on genjutsu, and 25 to work on iryoninjutsu.
When I entered the town and saw the number of starving children I slipped into an alley and made another reinforced clone this one I gave some spare pans and one of the scrolls with staples telling it to feed the children and other people of the village.
-4 days later-
My clones had finally returned. I took the storage scrolls from them and popped one of the clones while I had the other add another tattoo on my right arm. This one a storage seal in the shape of the Uzumaki swirl. As the clone was doing the tattoo I looked over the storage scroll before finding the section I was looking for the section for the Uzumaki summoning scrolls. I unsealed the Uzumaki summoning scrolls the Dragons, the Phoenix, and the Fox contract. I signed all 3 before returning them to the scroll. After the tattoo was finished and healed using a low level iryoninjutsu I sealed the storage scroll that held the treasure of Uzushio in it.
I went to a clearing a good ways from the house and performed the summoning jutsu. There I met the bosses of the 3 contracts and to my delight it seems they traveled back with me so I didn't have to pass their tests a second time. They also went ahead and granted me my summoning tattoos back. I now had a dragon tattoo on my left ribcage, a phoenix tattoo on my right, and a 9 tailed fox tattoo on my left arm right underneath where an ANBU tattoo would go(Kurama loved the last one of course). I used a couple of chameleon seals to cover the summoning tattoos for now. No point in giving away the game too early.
I had been feeding the villagers for the last few days and they seemed to be doing slightly better. Some of the worst off I had given some medical supplies and/or treatment.
Naru told me about the boy he met in the woods and how he and the boy talked about how you are only truly strong when you fight to protect your precious people.
-The next day/ Zabuza at the bridge-
Naru had been out training late and was exhausted so we left him at Tazuna's and went to the bridge. Where we found all the workers laid out.
The mist settled on the bridge and crept towards our position, Zabuza and the fake hunter nin came forward.
I watched as the Uchiha stepped forward to take on Zabuza's apprentice and as Kashi-sensei and Zabuza continued the fight from the other day. I made a few shadow clones to help out before sending one to the woods and giving it instructions to create 2 more shadow clones before henging into Tazuna and using kawarimi to switch places with the real Tazuna. The clones used a chameleon seal to keep their presence and Tazuna's from the area.
The Uchiha was failing badly in his fight against the ice user. If he wasn't on my team I would have been laughing so hard at him.
**I don't feel like typing the fight out so it's canon up until the point where Haku gets hit with Chidori**
Seeing Naruto's friend dying from a Chidori to the chest I rush forward and use a combination of blood/chakra pills and iryoninjutsu to ensure that Haku survives while Naru bitches out Zabuza. I barely manage to save Haku's life. Zabuza is about to rush towards Gato and his mercernaries before I jump up and slap the back of his head and berate him for being about to give his life up when his adoptive son is still alive. I create a batch of shadow clones and beat down on the mercernaries and slap Gato into a genjutsu that will make him sign over all his businesses to yours truly. A couple hours later after Gato has signed everything over and given me his ledgers and business information and all the cash he kept at the location as well as the locations of all his hidden caches, I turn him over to the villagers for them to take care of. I return all the money and properties that Gato had take from Wave and it still leaves me with quite a bit left over.
-2 weeks later-
Zabuza and Haku left last week to go to Kiri and see about helping the rebellion when they came to that decision Mina gave them the prisoner transport scrolls that held the Demon Brothers. Naruto was ecstatic that his friend and his adoptive father seemed to be doing better. We were about to leave ourselves. However we kept getting interrupted on our way out of the village. When we finally made it to the bridge Tazuna had beat us there. He made a short speech about how the village had lost its hope and then Team 7 came and hope seemed to spring up throughout the village (Tazuna found out about Minashi feeding everyone). The final announcement was the unveiling of the arch over the bridge. Tazuna called it The Great Uzumaki Bridge for the siblings who came for a protection mission and changed the hearts of the village.
-4 days later Konoha, Hokage's office-
"...and that's what happened Hokage-sama." Finally the end of Kashi-sensei's report.
"So let me get this straight you had a C-ranked protection mission and not even 3 hours in came across 2 chunin that the youngest of your genin took out slapstick and found out that there were other missing nin after the client probably jonin level or higher which made it an A-ranked mission, decided to continue the mission with a fresh genin cell, somehow manage to not only complete an A-ranked mission with genin while coming across the Demon of the Mist but changed his mind and sent him off to help Kiri, along with his adoptive son and the 2 chunin you had previously captured. All while the youngest genin gains control of the largest shipping magnate and criminal enterprise in the elemental nations. Am I missing anything?"
"Nope I think that's about it jiji. I also created a new seal I'm calling the chameleon seal. It allows people to blend in with their surroundings without drawing attention to themselves. It's really effective because it uses the static energy in the area so there is no surge of chakra and dispelling it like genjutsu won't work. Here's the designs for it and the others I came up with while I was gone."
The Hokage pinched the bridge of his nose. "You're all dismissed."
"Alright team you have 2 days off. Meet me at training grounds 7 at 8 on the third day.
With that everyone collected their mission pay. The Uchiha went towards his home, Naru went towards Ichiraku's, Kashi-sensei used shunshin, and here I am wandering around bored.
"Put me down or you'll regret it! If my nee-san finds out she'll beat you into a pulp!" Kono-chan's voice rang out. I rushed over to the area to find a Suna shinobi in a cat costume holding Kono off the ground by his shirt.
"Ne put Kono-chan down already. He is just a kid dattebane. Besides he is also the Hokage's grandson. If you hurt him you could cause an international incident. Trust me when I say this... You wouldn't want to be on Konoha's bad side right now."
"Tch whatever." He released his grip on Kono and glared at me I just smirked.
"Nee-san! You're back! Where were you? You were supposed to help with my training!"
I knelt down and straightened his clothes out while checking for injuries "Sorry Kono-chan our C-rank turned into an A-rank and took longer than expected. But on the bright side I have another business now. So maybe I'll be able to hire you as my helper after all. For now though you need to get back to the academy. Especially with the number of foreign ninja in the village for the chunin exams. If you promise to attend the academy I'll give you the present I got for you. What do you say?"
"Please nee-san! I promise I'll go straight to the academy and I'll be good and not skip for a whole week!"
"Make it 2 weeks and you got a deal Kono."
"Deal nee-san!"
I handed him a storage scroll and he looked at it confused.
"You're present is in the scroll Kono you have to unseal it."
"Oh yeah I remember you teaching me about storage scrolls before you left nee-san!" He bit his thumb and swiped it across the scroll and out popped a tanto. His eyes were wide with amazement.
"He is called Storm Fang. He is a sentient blade. You must respect him and treat him properly or you will never be able to wield him fully. This is a scroll that explains how to care for a sentient blade. If you have any questions you know where I live, now get back to class."
"Thanks nee-san this is the best present ever!" Kono shouted as he ran off towards the academy.
I turned around to face the Suna genin to see them staring at me oddly. "Do you have a problem?"
"You gave an academy student a sentient blade. What kind of person does that?"
"The kind that knows that the shinobi world doesn't look at how old someone is when judging whether they will live or die. Kono will learn to wield that tanto before he's a genin. I know this because I will be teaching him and when I'm not available I already have a back up who agreed to take over when I'm busy. Now if you excuse me I have to hunt my older brother down before he spends all his money on ramen. Good day."
-3 days later training ground 7-
Naru and I were in the middle of our sets when our sensei arrived (on time for once). "Oh no its the apocalypse, the end of the world, we're in a genjutsu, I dont know what, but something's wrong! Sensei is on time!" Naruto spazzed out apparently.
Kashi-sensei seemed to pout before brightening back up. "The reason I am on time is I nominated you three for the chunin exams!" He handed each of us a paper. I glomped him "Thanks sensei you're the best!"
"Yeah yeah it's in a week's time at the academy at 3 in room 301. You have the week off so do what you want though if you train make sure you take a couple days off before the exam."
-A week later in front of the academy-
The three of us stood in front of the academy at 1. We wanted to get there early enough to scope out some of the competition. We had a plan that we had agreed on. So with that we entered the academy. We climbed the first set of stairs to arrive at a room with a bunch of genin milling around I used ANBU sign to communicate with my team (so glad I spent our down time in wave teaching them ANBU sign and ANBU morse code) telling them we were only on the second floor. We politely (and by politely I mean we asked people to make room because we were looking for a bathroom) made our way to the stairs and continued up to the 3rd floor. As we made our way to room 301 we spotted Kashi-sensei.
He gave us a spiel about doing our best and making him proud. After that he disappeared and we entered the room, after glancing around we headed to the empty corner on the left and continued to communicate using sign language. Effective means of keeping the enemy from knowing our plans and if that didn't work hey we were standing in a circle and no one could see our hands. So it works. We spent time scoping out the competition coming up with strategies and trying to figure out what the exam would be. Even though I spent some time digging I wasn't able to find anything which is impressive considering my level of stealth.
At 20 minutes til 3 the rest of the rookies showed up and made a big commotion we stayed in our corner and watched. Letting the others draw the attention of the competition. Suddenly, after a Konoha genin got attacked by an Oto shinobi, a man appeared at the front. After seeing who it was I turned to my teammates quickly and signed what information I knew about him including his penchant for mental torture and told them to examine everything he says closely looking for hidden meaning.
Before I knew it we were all told to find our seats and all the teams were separated. I ended up next to a red head from Suna and a dark haired guy from Konoha. After the papers were all passed out Morino-san gave us the rules for the test. Information gathering/ intelligence. After we were told to begin I just stared at the proctor for a few minutes. When he turned to look at me I signed to him that this test was fun. He glared at me and I grinned at him before looking down and turning my paper over. After reading the questions I looked up to see him staring at me and I told him I learned this in the academy. Ah was that a twitch I saw?
I looked back down and got to answering the questions. After I was done I turned the paper over and started writing out additional information and questions that would have been better to include including a section on the interrogation uses of genjutsu. I'm sure the proctor would appreciate that. After all he's Anko-chan's boss. After I was done with my self imposed test, I took the pencil and balanced it on my nose before attaching a thin string of chakra to it and slowly levitating it up then making it spin in place and then started making it rotate.
45 minutes later
"It's time for the 10th question! But before I give it to you it's time for some new rules. These rules are unique to question 10. And try not to let them frighten you. Each of you is free to choose not to answer the 10th question."
"So what's the catch? What if we decide not to answer? What then?" asked one of the shinobi in the back.
"If you choose not to take the tenth question then you'll get a zero. In other words you fail, and your teammates fail as well. If you do choose to take the question, and answer it incorrectly you will be barred from taking the Chunin exam ever again."
Kiba stood up looking pissed "That's a load of bull! There's lots of people who've take the Chunin exams more than once!"
"You're just unlucky. I wasn't making the rules before. But I am now. Of course if you don't want to take it you don't have to. If you're not feeling confident by all means skip it."
At that I put my head down and laughed quietly. I see what the game is. Give them consequences they don't want for a tenth question making them unaware they have already been given the question. After I got myself under control I looked up to see the proctor staring at me. I just signed good play to him and grinned. Then I asked why he didn't tell them that anyone that used chakra in any capacity would be automatically disqualified for the 10th question. By the widening of his eyes I could tell he didn't think of that.
I just stretched out and let everyone do their thing. In the end 26 teams passed and we were told to meet at training ground 44 at 6 am the next morning. I left the academy building and starting heading home making a mental checklist of everything I wanted to pack for the next stage. Training ground 44 is a perfect place for a survival exam. With that I hummed to myself and went to pick up some supplies I was running low on like chakra pills and food pills.
When I got home I made a shadow clone to make a dinner and two more, one to pack a pack for Naru-nii and the other to gather and seal the list of materials I wanted in the forest in addition to everything I kept sealed on me at all times. Then I went and jumped in the shower and just relaxed. After I was done I sealed everything away in one of my tattoos, ate dinner, and decided to turn in early so I had plenty of rest.
-Training ground 44 530 am the following morning-
Naru-nii was collapsed on the ground muttering about it being too early. I snorted and continued stretching. Getting my body warmed up and limber for the upcoming test. I continued my warm up even as other teams started arriving. 10 minutes to 6 the Uchiha finally showed up. Quite a few people were staring at me but I ignored them opting instead to finish out my warm up by popping by back.
"Out of everyone here you are the only one who did a warm up in preparation. Which makes me wonder how many of them are actually ready to be Chunin?"
I grinned at Anko-chan (the proctor of the second round) "I just don't want to risk not being ready for whatever this part of the test is. I heard you were kinda sadistic and enjoy torturing people. After that I decided two things. The first being that we would be great friends and the second being that I wasn't going to underestimate this part of the exam. Messing with Morino-san yesterday was amusing. I think he was plotting my death."
Anko gaped at me for a moment for bursting out laughing "Th-th-that was you? Oh Kami that was just manna from heaven. He was pissed for the rest of the night talking about cheeky brats implying they could do his job better. But I gotta say after seeing your test paper I understand why he might have been plotting your death. Enough of that though."
Anko spent the next 30 minutes explaining the test, having people sign papers, then handing out scrolls.
After getting to our gate the time we spent waiting to be allowed into the forest I took a set of 4 premade seals and put 2 on each of the boys before using my chakra to make them adhere to the skin (I made temporary seal tattoos, by temporary I mean they can last up to 2 weeks max, these though would only last for around 3-4 days). After we were given the go ahead to enter the forest I signed for the boys to follow me. I found a place for us to hide and activated both tattoos on the boys. Making them look like generic brown haired brown eyed genin. Brothers to be exact. The other changed their chakra signature. I activated the same seals on myself. Giving me yamanaka blonde hair and jade colored eyes. Then I made 60 clones and 40 of them henge into the actual appearance of my teammates and handed out storage scroll filled with custom premade traps and set them out into the forest. I made another batch of clones (only 10 this time) to grab us a scroll.
I grabbed both boys and used shunshin to get us close to the tower. I used my sensory ability to make sure there were no other teams in the area. After about 30 minutes 4 of my clones showed up with scrolls. I had those 4 dismiss themselves and tell only the other 6 who were gathering scrolls to dismiss themselves. That left 20 teams of henged clones running around distracting the competition. We took the scrolls and entered the tower. There we opened the scrolls and lo there is Iruka-sensei. Who was gaping at us.
"Sensei is there a problem?"
"You 3 just completely broke the exam. I hope you know that. Well now-" Iruka-sensei went on explaining the 2nd exam blah blah blah.
Naruto and the Uchiha spent the following days relaxing and/or talking to the other genin who showed up at the tower. I however spent the first 4 days training and laughing every time one of my clones dispelled. I spent the final day of the exam with my team. They were kind enough to take the time to tell me what other teams faced in the forest. I almost felt bad about the ones who had problems with all the traps in the forest. I took malicious glee in pointing out that the proctors probably wanted a realistic 'behind enemy lines' experience for everyone. Inside I along with all the bijuu were cackling madly.
We had been gathered in an arena at about 12 and I got my first sight of some of the people who had made it through the forest. It was so bad I ended up hiding my face in Naru's jacket. I think he caught on that I was to blame because he had a huge grin on his face.
Hokage-jiji started talking about the purpose of the exams blah blah blah. New proctor Gekko Hayate blah blah blah. Preliminary rounds because 24 genin made it through. Yakushi Kabuto dropped out leaving 23. 11 matches with one free pass.
***Most of matches are canon except Sasuke obviously didn't get a hickey from a pedo. Instead of Sakura vs Ino it's Mina vs Ino (i.e. Ino gets a slap down for giving kunoichi a bad name) and Minashi and Naruto both getting pissed off at Neji***
DUN DUN DUN Final round match ups
The first match is Uzumaki Naruto vs Hyuga Neji
The second match is Nara Shikamaru vs Sabaku no Temari
The third match is Uzumazi Minashi vs Sabaku no Kankuro
The fourth match is Uchiha Sasuke vs Sabaku no Gaara
The final rounds will be held a month from now at 10 am at the arena. Take this time to train and come up with strategies on how you are going to defeat your opponent.
-The next day-
I used my Shinigan to write a generic untraceable letter to the Hokage detailing the upcoming attack by Oto and Orochimaru and the betrayal of Suna. I then used a blood henged shadow clone to slip it into jiji's office before he got there.
After that I made plans for my training. My main plan was getting permission to leave the village for my training. After packing everything I would need I headed out first to get lunch at Akimichi BBQ then to jiji's office to see about getting permission to train outside the village. After arriving at his office it took almost 3 hours before he had time to see me. His desk seemed to be swimming in paperwork at that point.
"Ne jiji why don't you use shadow clones to do the paperwork? You could make 3 shadow clones and leave them in the office completing paperwork and do whatever else you needed to do."
Jiji just gaped at me before bashing his head against the desk. He then stood up and made 3 shadow clones that immediately got to work sorting, signing, trashing paperwork, etc.
"So Mina-chan now that you have solved the torture that is paperwork for me was there a specific reason you came to visit this old man?"
"Hai jiji there is this time. Some of the techniques I want to train can have explosive outcomes if a mistake is made and I wanted to see if I could get your permission to train outside the village for the month. I know Kashi-sensei already made plans to train only the Uchiha and I want to train hard and make you and nii-san proud of me in the Chunin exams. I will of course take my communication scroll with me if you permit me to leave and if I come up with any other fuuinjutsu plans I can send them as soon as I am done. What do you think jiji?"
"Well Mina-chan I see no problem with that as long as you tell me where you are going for the month."
"That's easy jiji I'm gonna go live with my summons and they're gonna help train me dattebane!"
"You have summons Mina-chan?"
"Sure do jiji. When we were in Wave I sent a couple clones and a vial of my blood to the ruins of Uzushio to see if they could find anything that might have been left behind by my clan. Shortly before we left Wave they returned and they sure found something. All 3 Uzumaki summons scrolls were there as were most of the Uzumaki clan treasures. I recovered a lot of my clan history and jutsus. Most of which are clan secrets at almost the same level or higher than the scroll of seals is for Konoha. It's some of these techniques that I am going to be training with the supervision of my summons."
"Ok Mina-chan enjoy yourself and don't work too hard."
I gave him a hug "I won't jiji I promise. I love you, see you when I come home!" With that I left the office and headed for an empty training ground. I performed the summoning jutsu summoning a small dragon called Nyssa. I gave her the go ahead and the next thing I am aware of I am in the dragon's lair (literally). After speaking with the boss for their training ideas I was told to summon a representative of the Phoenix tribe and one of the Fox tribe. Together we decided on beginning training in Senjutsu and having 1000s of clones working on mastering the techniques and theory in the clan scrolls and jutsu scrolls that I have collected so far, including the ones the fox summons swiped or copied from other villages. All while I continued improving my physical condition.
-One month later/ day of the finals-
I was reverse summoned to my room at in the apartment at 6 am there I took a shower and got ready to head to the arena. Including a quick breakfast. I had gotten so much done in the last month. I honestly think this last month felt longer than the last 4 years in total. Learning and then mastering secret clan techniques whether fuuin, nin, tai, gen, ken, kin, iryo or other type of jutsu. I believe my clan had the largest selection of Kinjutsu in the entire elemental nations. That's not to mention the training the bijuu or my summons put me through in the last month. I'm only almost 13 and because my chakra reserves are larger than most, if not all, jonin (several times over) I have already mastered Senjutsu. I have a tenth set of weight, resistance, gravity seals on and countless other ways to push myself.
Now heading to the arena I feel like I'm ready for the Chunin exams. Maybe not the fourth war or the Akatsuki yet, but I'm definitely ready for the Chunin exams. Just sucks that I still have 30 minutes until the matches begin. This sucks. I walk out into the arena and look around. The stands are filling but none of the contestants are here yet other than myself. I take this time to start my stretches getting my muscles warmed up and ready for the matches ahead.
About 10 minutes until the matches start and Naru-nii finally arrives. "Hey nii-san how was your month of training? I worked even harder than usual. Who did you get to train you?"
"Morning imouto. It was good. I actually got our godfather to train me. He said he would have trained you too but we couldn't find you. He did give me this to give you though."
I took the scroll from nii-san and read over the information before sealing it in the seal I had on my hip for personal documents. I could go through the rest of it later. I don't want to risk someone getting a hold of the notes that were left to us by our parents. Either nii-san is really thick or he's in denial about who our parents are. Can't really blame him if he's in denial, especially since that would mean that our father is the reason that our life has been so hard.
Finally at exactly 10 the proctor for the 3rd round Gekko Hayate appeared *cue speech*
**Don't feel like writing out canon fight scenes so only difference is-Kankuro actually fights because Mina mocks him by calling him kitten then saying it was ok for the kitty kitty to be scared she breaks his puppet during their fight and knocks him out- skip to invasion start more specifically where Kakashi gives out orders**
Kakashi-sensei ordered Uchiha, Nii-san and I to follow Gaara. The boys took off no questions asked. I however turned to sensei "Ne sensei. I really think I could be more useful elsewhere. Like on the roof. The barrier that's being used there is based off an Uzumaki design and with my knowledge of clan sealing I should be able to break it down so the ANBU can help jiji."
Kakashi-sensei looked at me for a moment before motioning me to the roof. I did a half assed salute before jumping up. The ANBU tried to make me leave until I mentioned that I could bypass the barrier, they let me be after that. I walked towards the nearest corner where a red headed girl was holding part of the barrier. She mocked me and I just rolled my eyes.
I bit my thumbs and wiped the blood under my eyes and down my chin before flashing through the handsigns of an old Uzumaki kinjutsu. It basically overwrites a persons will temporarily. Once she succumbed to the jutsu I ordered her to drop the barrier then take out the other 3.
As soon as the barrier dropped the ANBU leapt into action. I followed at a distance. After I got close enough to witness the battle I recognized the Shodaime and Nidaime hokage. Which means that the pedo-snake used edo-tensei. Clicking my tongue I pulled out sealing supplies and created a clone. With my clone helping I made two edo-tensei control override seals, what they do is burn out the control seals that originally have to be placed in the edo-tensei bodies. When I was finished my clone and I kept an eye open for an opportunity to shunshin in and place the seals. The opportunity came when the two edo-tensei tried a combination jutsu. While they were paying attention to the ANBU and jiji my clone and I used shunshin to get behind them and slap the seals on them at the same moment. That done I used shunshin to appear back on the other side of the roof.
At that point Orochi-teme got the beat down of his life. Unfortunately he managed to escape and isn't that a depressing thought. The good news however is that jiji is alive! Which proves that the future can be changed in significant ways for the better.
-The next day Hokage's office-
I look around and see that other than myself there is Naru-nii and Skikamaru. Jiji gives us a speech and Naru-nii and Shikamaru both end up being promoted to chunin. I was surprised when jiji got to me and listed off my performance in the first leg of the exams and the fight plus what I pulled with the barrier jutsu and edo-tensei. Due to my actions and quick thinking jiji gave me a double promotion. I am now a jonin.
Naru-nii and I got our first mission after Shikamaru was dismissed. Jiji is sending us with ero-sennin to bring Tsunade-baachan back to the village to be Hokage. So this should be fun.
After Naru and I packed to leave we met Jiraiya at the gates and headed off to find Tsunade. As we were traveling Jiraiya 'taught' us the Rasengan. I probably enjoyed the look on his face when I popped the water balloon in 10 minutes a little too much. I was taking it easy too. It only took me 10 minutes the first time around anyways. Naruto thought his expression was funny too. While Naru-nii was working on the water balloons. Jiraiya-oji moved me on to the rubber ball. That one I did in about 20 minutes or so. After that he just threw up his hands and told me to combine the last 2 steps. Of course I waited til the next day to show him my rasengan. If only to make him feel slightly better.
While he was looking for leads on Tsunade, nii-san and I were training out in the woods. Him still working on the rasengan and me working on trying to add wind chakra to it. Thankfully I was using shadow clones because it kept blowing up in my face. The additional chakra I have now means I have to trial and error ratios on my old jutsu. It's why it took me so long to get all my old jutsu down.
The next day we headed to another town for him to look for leads on Tsunade. Before we even got checked in he was drawn off by a young woman who was trying to get his attention. We just rolled our eyes and booked ourselves a room. As nii-san was unpacking there was a knock on the door. I went and answered it only for my eyebrow to twitch. Akatsuki already, I feel like an idiot for having forgotten such a simple thing. I pinched the bridge of my nose and took a deep breath before glaring at them.
"What can I do for Hoshigaki Kisame and Uchiha Itachi? Last I heard I wasn't on some hit list for missing nin and I really think I would have heard before now if I was."
"Itachi just let me kill this one. We don't need her. We just need the jinchuriki."
Before Kisame had a chance to act on his words I summoned Crimson Princess. "Samehada deserves someone better than you fish face."
Both of their eyes widened in surprise when they caught sight of my katana. I dropped to the first stance of Uzu Ryu before shooting towards Kisame fully intending to separate his head from his shoulders. I dodged a strike from Samehada only to have to jump out of the way of a strike from the Uchiha. Before we could get any further, the other Uchiha showed up spouting off about hate and revenge. As the younger Uchiha tried to attack the elder we were suddenly surrounded by the mouth of a toad, I forgot how much I hated this jutsu.
The 2 Akatsuki members fled, while ero-sennin checked on Naru-nii I used the Shinigan to snapped the Uchiha out of the Tsukoyomi he had been placed in making sure to place him in an extended sleep so he wouldn't wake up immediately.
The Uchiha brat was taken back to Konoha by Maito Gai. While we continued our search for Tsunade by moving to the next town.
Over the month we were following up leads on Tsunade I upped both mine and Naru-niis seals another level, as well as creating an external chakra storage seal for him that siphoned off 15% of his chakra every time his chakra usage was 20% or under for the day. I put a failsafe in the seal so that if his chakra ever dropped to dangerous levels it would activate releasing the stored chakra into him thereby bringing his chakra levels back up. The secondary failsafe prevented more chakra from being siphoned to him than would be healthy for him.
I also managed to create a seal that would rebuild any damage done to an area over a period of time by using the natural energy in the area. So far I had tested it out in the woods. Next would be testing buildings. I had also come up with an idea for a communication seal. According to the seal stability and the outer matrixes it should allow up to 10 people to communicate mentally. We would just have to test the range for that many people. So far Naru-nii and I have been able to use it from opposite ends of the towns we were in. Mainly we use it to make ero-sennin twitchy. He thinks we are plotting something when we are quiet.
I had also created a basic healing seal. It could cure things like headaches, nausea, bruising, other minor things. I'm working on reworking the matrix to make a diagnosis seal that would transfer information to a keyed scroll. I've also modified the prisoner storage scrolls, created genjutsu seals, and sterile medical stasis seals.
-End of the month Tanzaku Gai-
We finally found Tsunade. Naru-nii challenged her to a bet that he could finish learning the rasengan in a week and if he won she would come back. While he was doing that I created 500 clones to work on adding different elements to the rasengan. While those clones were training I made a 10 more and had them use blood henge to change their looks. I gave each of them money and told them to hit up the casinos and to not quit until we at least doubled our on hand money.
While my clones were working on that I was reading some new theory books I had come across in town.
-End of the week-
Naru-nii won the bet is the simple way of explaining it. The more complex is pointing out that Orochimaru and Kabuto showed up. I was going to kill them but the bijuu held me back. So I limited myself to beating Kabuto hard. Which is when Orochimaru grabbed him and ran, again.
We went back to town where everyone else got healed up. I created a clone and popped it informing my other clones to bring the money they had earned back. When my 10 clones came back they each handed me a scroll before popping. I sealed them away in one of my easy to access seals just in case I needed them.
On the way back Tsunade, Shizune, and I spoke about everything medical. Tsunade let me copy all her scrolls, especially after I showed her the medical based seals that I had created. She even told me she'd let me copy the scrolls at the Senju compound. It was an exciting prospect for me. Of course I knew it was because both Naru-nii and I had some Senju blood just like she has some Uzumaki blood.
After returning to Konoha everything fell into a routine for a couple months. I spammed shadow clones to learn all the jutsu and theory I had gotten from Tsunade and Shizune. I upped my seals and Narus a couple more times. Between everything and some of the seals that we created I believe we launched the medical field forward at least 5 years if not more. Probably more once all the people working in the hospital were vetted.
-2 months later/ Ero-sennin returns/ a training trip/ 3 years?!-
Ero-sennin asked and got permission to take me and Naru-nii on a 3 year training trip to prepare us for the Akatsuki. I agreed on the proviso that Naru and I still got missions at least twice a month so we would have actual experience on our return.
-3 years 1 month later/ a return home-
It has been a long 3 years. Between training with Naru-nii and Ero-sennin, missions, training with my summons and the bijuu, perfecting sage mode (I can now stay in sage mode for a month at a time, so not quite perfect yet), learning sub-elements (I can't wait to see people's faces thinking that you had to have a kekkai-genkai for sub-elements), physical conditioning, infiltrating other villages when the boys weren't paying attention (I got lots of new jutsu out of it, including kinjutstu, and recovered a lot of Uzumaki heirlooms). Hopefully we are ready for what is coming, but only time will tell. Naru has progressed further this time than the last time. Since I pushed him on his physical conditioning while in the academy and afterwards he has already completed sage mode training. The only training he has left is with the yang half of Kurama.
I now stand at a whole 5'1 compared to Naru-nii's 5'11, he never stops harassing me over being so short. Not like I had a choice. My dark red hair now cascades down to mid thigh when loose (which is only when I'm off duty and not training) otherwise it stays up in a braided bun. My breasts grew to a 32 E, my hips and ass rounded out, I'm curvy with lithe muscles (I really thank my genetics that I'm not some musclebound female). I removed the chameleon tags over my summoning tattoos (ero-sennin nearly had a heart attack when he saw the 9 tails, only made worse when I told him my summons). I also found out that Naru is inheriting the Namikaze estate while I inherit the Uzumaki. It was in our parents wills and it helps that I inherited the Uzumaki chakra and kekkai genkai. I've taking to wearing a black vest that ends below my breasts with the Uzumaki clan swirl proudly visible. Otherwise my outfit stayed the same. Not to mention I have more fuuinjutsu tattoos. Ero-sennin calls me obsessive. I just scoff at him.
Ero-sennin, Naru, and I made our way towards the gates. I smiled seeing the eternal chunin Izumo and Kotetsu at the gates.
"Izumo! Kotetsu! It's so good to be home!"
They look up and blushed before stammering and checking our passes. I just rolled my eyes at their behavior. Once we were cleared we made our way to the tower. There were still many glares but some seemed surprised or embarrassed. I just clucked my tongue. My outfit isn't even that revealing compared to some.
We finally made it to the tower. I saw a few familiar faces while ero-sennin and Naru jumped through the Hokage's window.
"Neji! Tenten! Hey guys long time no see! How have you been while we were gone?"
They looked up at me and smiled. Though I noticed Neji checking me over before blushing. "Hey Mina-chan! I've been good just training and missions you know. You look great by the way! How are you? Where's that brother of yours?"
"I'm doing great Ten-chan. Worked hard while I was out. We were still receiving missions and training was really intense. I feel like I'm on a different level now after everything. At least that's what my summons say. Naru and ero-sennin went through the Hokage's window. I kinda hope ANBU hit them. But maybe we can have lunch when I'm done with the Hokage, I plan on going to the Akimichi barbecue joint. I'd love to catch up with you guys. But I better get in there before one of them does something stupid. So see you later."
The meeting with Tsunade was pretty much just saying we had a test we had to take to see where we are after training that would be happening in the morning. So I ended up in the office less than 10 minutes. Guess ero-sennin jumping ahead worked out this time. I used shunshin to leave and made my way straight to the barbecue joint. When I went in Ten-chan called me over to a table. We made our food and drink orders and were discussing different missions we had been on in the last few years. She seemed surprised at some of the ones I got until I reminded her I skipped chunin after the exams and went straight to jonin. While we were waiting Hinata and Neji showed up. Ten-chan and I both scooted over in our booths making room. To my surprise Neji was the one who sat beside me.
The four of us spent a couple hours talking and snacking. Neji was actively participating and giving feedback which seemed to surprise the other two girls. I just shrugged it off. It was nearing 7 when I told them that I needed to head to my apartment because I had a test in the morning to see where I was in terms of skill. I paid for the food and drinks that we had all enjoyed before the 4 of us got up to leave. Hinata and Ten-chan going one direction while Neji continued to walk with me asking questions. I answered what I was able to about the test. After all I wasn't given much information about it just where and when pretty much. When we made it to the apartments I surprised Neji by giving him a hug and telling him I'd see him later.
-The Next Morning/ Elite Jonin or Elite Pervert/ Title on the Line-
Naru and I were up, fed, and stretched in plenty of time to make it to the training ground. There we found baa-chan, ero-sennin, jiji, Kashi-sensei, Nara-san, Morino-san, Neji, and quite a few ANBU.
"Ne baachan who are you having me and imouto fight?"
"That's easy Naruto. You're going up against your old sensei."
With that I took out a stack of cards and shuffled them with chakra. I gave naru, baachan, ero-sennin, and myself a stack and explained the concept that each one of them represented a choice and whoever called it by themselves that is the plan they were going to go with.
It took about 6 tries for one of us to get it alone. Since it was me I told them that we would face sensei one-on-one with me going first and so the test began.
-3 hours later-
Kakashi was laying in a crater groaning while I walked back towards everyone.
"Sorry baa-chan looks like you have to get someone else to test nii-san. I thought sensei would be able to hold up to that I underpowered it and everything."
"Gaki I don't know what your summons were teaching you while we were with the toads but I am genuinely afraid of you now."
"Ero-sennin I'm really surprised it took you this long to be afraid of me. I mean just look at nii-san he's not at all surprised. I think you were just doubting me."
"Of course I don't doubt you nee-chan. Out of the two of us you were the one that had the strict training schedule even before we were in academy. Afterwards it only got more intense. Between your hard work and your natural genius you've always been the stronger of the two of us and I know that. That's why I always find it hilarious that every where we went everyone thought I was the threat between the two of us."
"Wait you're saying your sister is the stronger one between you?"
"Yeah she always has been. Who do you think put the weight, resistance, and gravity seals on me ero-sennin? Who do you think taught me tree walking and water walking? Who do you think taught me the excercises for my wind affinity? She's always been stronger than me and smarter than me. I accept that. I'm really proud of that fact actually. Because in the beginning when I was eating ramen or playing pranks, she was training. She has the edge over me. Not to mention she unlocked the Uzumaki kekkai genkai so it pretty much makes most things a moot point anyways. She's also the reason I've been training so hard. She has trained for years and still hasn't stopped. No matter what she is always finding new ways to improve herself. Not to mention that she's always helping me improve too."
-A few days later-
Naruto passed the test on his own and ended up being promoted to jonin. After being promoted Naru found out about our parents and about how he would be the Namikaze clan head and how I would be the Uzumaki clan head. He was ecstatic. He received his inheritance and we found out where both compounds were. We went to the Namikaze first. After exploring the compound I used a special seal to copy all the books and scrolls and kept copies of each of them for myself. After that we went to the Uzumaki compound and explored. Where I used the seal to copy the books and scrolls and gave Naru a copy.
