This is the rewritten and hopefully better version of my Seventeen in gate story. Please tell me what you think. This first chapter doesn't have too much edited, but I smoothed out a bunch of stuff and got rid of a lot of redundant and awkward things. I rewrote a bunch of scenes too.

Android Seventeen

Monster Island

It had been a little over four months since the Broly incident had passed and Android Seventeen had gone about his work as best he could. He tended to the rare and valuable monsters on the island like the Minotaurus, a large purple bull-like creature that was hunted for its horns and purple hide that made excellent leather. It was one of the rarest creatures on the quadrant, bringing with it a near-constant stream of space poachers that Android Seventeen would have to take out one way or another.

Life went on as normally as it could, with the occasional pranks of Goten and Trunks and the occasional visits by Android Eighteen and Krillin. After all, the two young half Saiyans were part of the Monster defense force Android Seventeen had created and no matter how Android Eighteen pretended she hated her brother, she couldn't keep him too far away.

The sky was bright for an early fall day, the trees on the island colored with various red and orange leaves that gave it a pleasant look from above. Android Seventeen could attest to this as he was floating a good quarter-mile above the island looking all around. Why he was so high up in the sky was because one of the rare Pterodactylus babies had flown away from its nest and could have gotten lost. His job was to make sure it got back to its nest safely without any injury.

Looking around with his enhanced vision, he saw a small cavern at the base of a large hill. It was quite conspicuous and a place the Pterodactylus might very well be. The hill was easily fifty feet tall and made of dark red rock. At the base was a Cell Junior taunting the lost dinosaur, slowly advancing on it as it backed into the cave fearfully.

Letting out an unintentional growl, Seventeen scowled at the Cell Junior. It wasn't going to harm the baby but it clearly wasn't being nice at all. Flying down in front of the cave and landing on the dirt and red rock-covered ground, Seventeen asked the cell junior what was going on and what it was doing.

The little cell clone looked happy that Seventeen was there. Seventeen looked at it questioningly and it pointed to the clawed hand of the baby dinosaur while trying to communicate the situation to him as best as it could, given the communication barrier.

"Kekekeke" It said with an irritated voice while motioning to the baby reptile winged dinosaur and what it was clinging tightly to.

In the dinosaur's grasp was a large green soccer ball, one Trunks had brought over in one of the many times he had brought toys over and forgot them within an hour. The dinosaur saw the conversation and got more nervous and tried to escape into the dark cave. Seventeen sighed at his new work and tried to walk over and pacify the scared dinosaur but only managed to make it run further inside. The Cell Junior followed them, giggling with a satisfied grin on its face as it knew it would get its toy. The cave was thinning out, barely wide enough for three people to walk abreast and only a foot taller than Seventeen's head.

The dinosaur had dropped the ball and was still retreating further inwards. Seventeen stopped and picked up the ball before tossing it to the Cell Junior who greedily grabbed it before running out of the cave laughing. Now Seventeen had to rescue the Dinosaur before it accidentally hurt itself. Speeding up to catch up with the Dinosaur, he found himself in a large cavern of rock. It was somewhat underground and the pressure would have affected him if he wasn't mostly mechanical. The ceiling of the cave was about fifteen feet high and about thirty feet wide in a circular shape. Light green florescent moss cast a green glow on the dark rocks from the ceiling and walls where it grew.

The scared Dinosaur was exhausted and was limping across the cave to escape Seventeen who was walking slowly towards it. It was a little larger than two feet long, its wings twice that. Slowly walking up to it with soft slow movements, Seventeen managed to calm it enough to let him touch it. Kneeling down next to it, Seventeen took a small piece of fresh Jerky out of his waist pouch and fed it to the Dinosaur that quickly devoured it.

Picking it up gently and walking to the closest wall, Seventeen sat down and placed the dinosaur next to him. Silently sitting there while the child Dinosaur rested, Seventeen looked across to the opposite wall. Something was strange about it. Unnatural even. Stroking the head of the Dinosaur to calm it, he got up and walked over to the wall. The moss had grown into a ring that spanned the wall as if a circular structure was embedded into the wall itself.

Using a small amount of energy to increase his strength, Seventeen pushed aside the moss and dirt on the wall. After a few pushes, the dirt cracked then fell to the floor as the wall seemed to crumble away. What was revealed was a silvery metal ring that was around his size and height if not a bit larger. It was empty but seemed to draw him forward with a mysterious force.

Touching it on the middle of the left side, it seemed to shake and shudder as something began happening, most likely a reaction to his touch. Whatever it was, something was going to happen.

The cave began quivering slightly, a small rumbling sound originating from the metal as it shook. Seventeen quickly stepped back as a creaking and grinding sound filled the cave as if old unused gears were turning for the first time in a very very long time.

"Skreee" The baby Dinosaur called out in fear as it desperately began flapping its wings and flew full force into Seventeen's unguarded back, it's momentum and weight knocking him forward. Just as he fell forward, the circle glowed purple, releasing a bright light and sucking everything within seven meters around it inside. Not prepared for this in the slightest, Seventeen was pushed forward and forced to enter with the Dinosaur nervously clawing on his back.

Unable to bear its own power and due to the intense aging and time it had been there for, the metal of the portal frame cracked and snapped, canceling the spell as the cave collapsed on it, trapping Seventeen on the other side with the Dinosaur. This was the last time Android seventeen was seen on earth.

Alnus Hill JSDF Base

Android Seventeen

Laying on a dirt road with his face to the ground, a small amount of rubble covering him, and a Dinosaur squawking loudly with a heavy rock on its tail next to him. His day couldn't get more frustrating. The midday sun shone down on his face as he turned over causing him to block the light with his arm.

It turns out it could get much more frustrating. And it did in the form of a young-looking girl with long black hair and a predatory smile.

"Oh my. Not every day do people appear out of nowhere in front of me, and you seem different from these mongrels around here" Said the young girl as she knelt in front of Seventeen, looking over him like she would an interesting exhibition.

Seventeen got up, shaking the dirt and debris off of him, and looked around at his new surroundings.

"Oh great. It was a portal. Just what I needed" He said with a dark scowl before looking at the Dinosaur next to him. It had a rock laying in it's tail preventing it from moving.

"At least you're safe, little guy" He said to the Dinosaur as he knelt down to take the rock off its tail. It nuzzled his leg with its head in thanks. Climbing onto Seventeen's back, the Dinosaur rested on his shoulders. Finally acknowledging the girl's presence, seventeen sighed and addressed her.

"What do you want kid? I don't do charity" Seventeen said, looking over the girl's strange outfit. She was short, about the height of Krillin, and wore a black dress with red frills. She had black stockings supported with garters and a pair of lacy red boots. It was an outfit he had expected to see on a prostitute, not a child. She had a red bow on her head and her smile turned into a dangerous scowl at being called a child. Taking a black halberd with a decorated blade off of her back, she pointed it at him menacingly.

"How did you do that? Teleportation is a very rare art" She said, her voice more excited than angry as she stared him down.

Android Seventeen was thinking something completely different. He wanted to figure out just how far this portal had taken him. Turning around and walking towards the nearest building, he completely ignored her. He didn't have the time to fight children when he wanted to get back to his island, wife, and kids.

The girl stood for a second, a shocked look on her face. She was ignored. That never happened. Ever. But this man just completely disregarded her without even giving her his name. The sheer audacity to do that to her. Snapping out of her trance, she exploded towards him, her step throwing dirt behind her.

"Dont ignore me!" She yelled before swinging her halberd with her full strength and speed at him, it arced towards his head with frightening speed, whistling through the air with a violent arc.

Her halberd hit him square in the back of the head, cutting him and the creature on his shoulders cleanly in half.

At least that was what she expected, However, at the last millisecond, her halberd was stopped by his right pointer finger. She didn't even see him move, but now he was facing her with a very annoyed look on his face. He was quite intimidating when he glared at her.

"Look, kid. I don't have time to play babysitter, so go play with someone else before I decide to punish you" Seventeen said before flicking the halberd, causing it to fly out of the girl's grasp and be implanted deep into the ground further down the empty street. Instead of being nervous or scared, the young girl looked thrilled as she looked back at him. Walking towards Seventeen who had begun walking away again, she grabbed his arm and pulled him, exerting her monstrous strength on the newcomer.

"Wait! Tell me your name" She demanded from seventeen as she tried to hold him back from walking away.

Stopping and turning to her with a slightly angry demeanor, Seventeen sighed and said "My name is Seventeen, now look. I'm in the middle of something right now and I don't have time for you. If you keep bothering me, I'm going to knock you out".

Slightly taken aback at the threat, Rory hesitated before daring him to do it. It would be a spectacle for sure.

Faster than she could comprehend, she felt a strike to her head and everything went black. She slumped down in his arm as he sighed and placed her against a wall. She wasn't his problem to deal with so he moved on to his actual goal.

Walking into a nearby store, he was happy to see that he recognized one of the languages. The building was a small convenience store, shelves stocked with simple items like clothes, cans of food, and toiletries. Walking up to the counter, Seventeen looked at the clerk. It was a young woman that was about five foot eight in height, had short brown hair, fair skin, and green eyes. She wore a green military outfit, her name tag said, Himari Watanabe.

"Hello miss Watanabe. Where exactly is this store again?" Seventeen asked as casually as he could while trying not to look like he didn't belong.

She raised an eyebrow at him as if she was studying him before reprimanding him sternly and forcefully.

"Are you a new recruit? What's with that animal on your back and Why aren't you in uniform? You know the procedures. Go back to your dorm and put on your uniform, Be lucky I don't report you" She said sharply, pointing behind her at the wall. Seventeen assumed she was pointing that way referring to a nearby building.

"Right, Mind taking me there?" Seventeen asked the lady, maybe a higher up could answer his questions, but he had to be careful. He didn't want to deal with an army first thing out of the portal but it would be the best chance at getting information.

"Stupid newbie" She said under her breath before begrudgingly acquiescing to his demands.

"Fine, I'll walk you over, but next time learn your location better. This is the special region, don't be a dunderhead" She said, walking in a door behind the counter to talk with someone for a moment before coming back out and motioning for Seventeen to follow her.

Following her, Seventeen was walked through a security checkpoint a few buildings down, the soldiers nodding to Himari as she passed with Seventeen, not even sparing him a second glance.

"So, I'll bring you to First Lieutenant Yaginada and he'll get you set up with your duties. Just don't forget things so easy okay? And make sure that animal is allowed to be here" She said as they entered a two-story square building with reinforced windows. Inside was what seemed like a large group of offices. Men and women in uniform ran back and forth with documents and phones, shouting loudly at each other. The two of them forced their way through the large room full of tables and went up to the staircase in the back. Climbing up the stairs, the two entered a much quieter area.

The top floor was considerably quieter consisting of a hallway with offices on each side. Walking to the end, they opened the door to the left. Inside was a square office that was in pristine condition. The gray walls had metal bookcases with document folders filling them end to end and a desk in front of a long window looking out on the base. Sitting at the desk looking over some paperwork was a young man with black short hair in his mid-twenties, he wore a green cap and the same green outfit as the other JSDF forces.

His face was sharp and knowing and his eyes were glinting behind a set of thin-rimmed glasses. Looking up at the two, he asked Private Watanabe her business.

"First Lieutenant Yanagida, I found this soldier in civilian clothes lounging around and brought him here sir" She said with a salute and nudging Seventeen to do the same.

"I see. You are dismissed. What is your name Private? And what type of animal is that" He asked Seventeen while shooing away Watanabe and then motioning to the Dinosaur on Seventeen''s shoulder.

Seventeen narrowed his eyes ever so slightly.

"Lapis" He responded without any sir at the end. He still wasn't certain about what he would do.

Watanabe had left and closed the door behind her quietly, leaving the two to their own words.

First Lieutenant Yanagida stretched his arms above his head, yawning a long yawn before resting his arms on his desk and eyeing Android seventeen up and down.

"This work is so tiring that I get rather bored, and when I get bored I tend to do a headcount of everyone and I'm sure I've never seen you before. It would be best if we didn't lie to each other. I know you're not a soldier here. You speak Japanese perfectly but your accent isn't anything from anywhere in Japan. So are you a spy from America? Russia? Who sent you and how did you manage to get through the gate?" He said, narrowing his eyes to half slits as he stared down Seventeen.

Seventeen tensed up, preparing to either kill Yanagida or run. Either of the options would be very easy for him. He was sure he could make it through anything this army base could throw at him.

"Don't be so tense. I'm not going to call anyone just yet. Don't try to run. Not that you'd get far" Yanagida said, confident that this spy would be apprehended nigh instantly if he tried to run away after being discovered.

Andriod Seventeen could easily blast the building and send the whole base to kingdom come, but this Yanagida was giving him a chance to explain himself so he gave it a shot. If only to see if he didn't need to fight. He had just arrived and didn't want to fight just yet.

"As you know. I'm not from around here and don't take well to your threats. I have no idea where this America or Russia is but I got sucked through a portal and ended up being attacked by some crazy kid wielding a halberd. So it's safe to say I'm not feeling so happy. How about we drop the threats, Your army doesn't scare me" Android Seventeen said, leaning towards Yanagida who felt an indescribable chill down his spine.

Alnus Hill JSDF Camp

First Lieutenant Yanagida listened to what Seventeen said and was slightly confused but he didn't show it on his face. The man said something ridiculous but he couldn't rule out the fact another gate had opened up elsewhere. He had repressed the shiver that went down his spine when the man threatened him. At the moment it felt like the world was going to crush him, however, the potential spy had released the pressure almost instantly later.

Folding his hands in front of him as he sat at his desk looking at Android Seventeen intently, he gave him an opportunity to speak more.

"Okay, let's for a moment say I believe you. Why pretend to be a soldier? Stolen Valor is a serious crime" Yanagida asked Seventeen who relaxed slightly.

Seventeen stood there for a moment looking at the Lieutenant before answering.

"The woman, Himari was it? She mistook me for a soldier and I went along with it so I could meet someone who could help me figure out where I was and how to get home. I wasn't intending to pretend I was a soldier for long and honestly I'm surprised I got this far" Seventeen said, his hand on his chin in thought.

First Lieutenant Yanagida thought silently for a moment, going over what the mystery man said. He hadn't asked for a name again since if this man was a spy any name he could give was meaningless and a way to lead him down the wrong story.

"Hmmm...You say you came through a portal. Where were you from before going through said portal and where is this portal now?" He asked, making sure to study Seventeen's body movements for any trace of deception.

"Oh, that. I work as a Park Ranger on an island forty miles south of Satan city and was treating this little guy here" Seventeen said before reaching up and taking the Pterodactyl from his shoulders and cradling it gently in his arms. Stroking it on the head it let out a little cooing sound, pleased by the affection. Seventeen then looked back at Yanagida and continued.

"He had gotten scared and ran into a cave. I followed to make sure he was okay and when I found him he was lying near a metal portal casing of some sort. I touched it and it sprung to life, causing the cave around me to collapse. The little guy here pushed me through and I found myself lying on the street of this base with some weird kid challenging me to a fight. She had a weird outfit and swung a halberd at me after challenging me. I had to knock her out to stop her from trying to cut my head off. Kids these days" Seventeen said, amazed at how strange the girl was.

Yanagida sat there taking in the story. It was far-fetched, especially the Rory part. From the reports he had on her, She was some demigoddess from the other side that was really strong and was fast enough to dodge bullets. If he really had done that to her, it might bring problems later.

"This is a lot to think about. This Satan city is somewhere I have never heard of, though I suppose some of the proof I need is sitting in your arms. That said, I am going to need a little more proof than this. Do you have anything that could prove you're not a spy from America, China, or Russia? If we can confirm your identity, we will cooperate with you to help you in your situation. After all, no one likes being lost and stranded" he asked Seventeen who shrugged and went into contemplation for a few seconds.

Seventeen was rather annoyed at being questioned like this but saw the necessity in it, especially if it secured the army's cooperation. Putting the dinosaur back on his shoulders, he sighed. Reaching into the bag at his waist and pulling out a small white and green striped square case, barely larger than his hand. It had the Capsule Corp logo on it. Opening it, he took out a capsule that had some maps and books involving the dangerous species on the island he ranged.

Seeing Yanagida's suspicious look, he put out his hand to try to ease the tension.

"These are capsules, nothing bad. An acquaintance of mine makes these. They aren't harmful. Just make a little bit of harmless smoke when opened" Seventeen said.

"And what exactly do these capsules do?" Yanagida asked him, curious about the strange technology.

"They are storage devices. From what I know, they compress space down to the molecular level, allowing you to store almost anything. In this one, I have some maps and park-ranging documents. I figured if this couldn't help prove my story, nothing could" And he clicked the butting at the top and tossed it on the ground. Luckily for them, this was one of the improved capsules that only released a minuscule amount of smoke that dispersed nigh instantly.

Such technology existed? Thinking about the possibilities of its use for Japan, First Lieutenant Yanagida smiled.

Lying on the ground was a series of maps, books, and documents all written in Japanese.

Picking one of the maps up, Seventeen took out a pen from his small satchel and circled his island on the map. He handed it to Yanagida who raised an eyebrow at the map which showed continents that were different from Earth and many names he didn't know. The map was not some drawing or poorly made. It was professionally printed by a company he had never heard of. On it was many notes denoting rare animals and their habitats.

Yanagida studied it for a few minutes before placing the map on the desk and getting up to look at the books. After picking one up about the ecology and wildlife of Yanzabit heights and reading it, he looked pretty amazed. This clearly wasn't the work of an amateur. It had references, notes, and names of various animals and plants. The names of the Biologists that brought breakthroughs in the scientific field were all credited and referenced throughout.

After studying a few books and cross-referencing with the maps, he spoke to Seventeen with a different tone.

"I see I have confused you for a spy when that most likely isn't the case. While it is suspicious that a person from what I'm going to assume is alternate earth speaks Japanese, the evidence doesn't lie. Dinosaurs have long gone extinct in our world and these Capsules don't exist here either. I know I asked before, but what's your name again?" He asked with a much more relaxed and friendly tone.

"My name is Lapis, and before you ask, my father had a bad naming habit. I have my Park Ranger Card if you need verification" Seventeen said with a glare at the ground resisting the urge to spit thinking about his real parents and doctor Gero.

"I see. That won't be necessary since It's not like we could verify it. Also, can I ask you a personal favor and tell me something?" Yanagida asked, putting the books back on the pile.

"Depends on what it is," Seventeen said a bit more relaxed, now that the situation was sorted out.

"That Rory girl you fought. She is a demigod and is very powerful. You said you knocked her out? How did you do it?" Yanagida asked, interested in what Seventeen said earlier.

"I punched her in the head and left her outside Himari's shop," He said, not really caring about Rory much. he hadn't hit her very hard, just enough to keep her out for a little.

"You did what? And you're not even slightly impressed that there is a demigod walking around?" Yanagida asked Seventeen incredulously.

"Not really, no. Compared to the god of our earth, she was a joke and that's not even getting into the god of destruction Beerus. I hope I never have to see him again, he's a real scary guy" Seventeen said honestly. Beerus was one of the people he didn't want to be near, ever.

"Hmm, I'd like to hear about them later, but right now I'll have to report to the Major stationed here. Then I'll get you set up with someone who can answer your questions better than me. You can care for the Dinosaur with you, right?" The first lieutenant asked Seventeen who nodded in confirmation.

"Alright, let's go over to the Major before I get even more paperwork hahaha" The first lieutenant laughed with a slightly bitter and resigned tone at the extra work he now had with this newcomer. That fool Itami already stacked his plate of work extra high with his gallivanting about. Anything more than this strange traveler would make him want to cry from the ridiculous amount of paperwork.

The two made their way out of the room after Seventeen stored the books and maps back in his capsule.

Walking down the stairs and outside of the building through a parking lot, they made it to a large Jeep that was parked at the far end of the lot. Seventeen climbed in the front passenger seat while Yanagida took the driver's seat. They drove through the large fort up to the front of a four-story-high wide windowed office building that was surrounded by cement walls that rose ten feet and had barbed wire at the top that ran the length of the wall. All in all, it was protected sufficiently.

After they got out, they walked up the concrete sidewalk to the front entrance of the wall where a metal door was installed with two tall Japanese soldiers guarding it each wielding M4's and wearing the green uniform like everyone there, but they were special forces as shown by the weapons they held.

They saluted to Yanagida and asked what he was doing here. He motioned to Seventeen and gave an explanation as to why he needed to enter.

"As per the Major's orders, I have a special situation and need to bring this man to the Major" Yanagida explained and the Soldiers responded.

"Understood, the Major is waiting inside," The man on the right said typing a code into a metal box with a keypad on the gate that beeped, allowing the doors to swing open.

They entered the yard and walked up to the sliding glass door which slid open when the first lieutenant walked up to it. They entered a small lit lobby with a small Japanese soldier standing at a desk next to an elevator. Saluting to Yanagida, he asked what floor they were going to.

"Third" Yanagida said to the soldier who pressed a button on the desk causing the elevator door to beep and open to a well-lit metal elevator box with a small reflective glass sheet in the left roof corner, hiding a video camera.

The two entered and the door closed before the elevator shook slightly before it went upwards with a slight grinding sound. A few seconds later, the elevator dinged and the two stepped out into a coolly air-conditioned office hallway with white walls and gray carpeted floors. The walls had pictures and charts hung on them carefully in between the offices. The sound of a printer whirred at an office at the end of the hall and the sound of a middle-aged Japanese woman arguing on a phone was heard at the office to the right of the elevator.

They walked to the middle office on the right and Yanagida stopped in front of the closed door that said Major Taro Okada before giving it a light rap on the door with his knuckles.

"Come in" Came the slightly gruff voice of a Japanese man in his mid-forties from behind the door.

Yanagida and Seventeen entered the room quietly.

It was very bright and clean. The walls were spotless white and a tall white metal lamp stood in the back right of the room lighting the room with the help of the long rectangle glass window that was overlooking the nearby buildings.

The carpet was a soft gray and was near spotless. The man sat at a desk facing the door that was fairly clean except for a coffee cup and a small stack of documents. The man sitting at the desk looked to be in his late forties and had short-cut hair that was slightly graying, most likely from stress. He had a light tan and he was rather tall. He wore a green suit with his patch across his left breast. He had sharp black eyes that were surrounded by slight wrinkles and a relaxed expression on his face.

"Hello, Akira, and hmm. I haven't seen you before. What's your name? Don't worry about formalities, we're in private here" The Major looked at Seventeen with a raised eyebrow, expressing his need for information.

"My name is Lapis and I'm not from around here. I got caught in a portal and found myself in the middle of this camp. Mister Yanagida here said he would help me get home if I talked with you guys" Seventeen said, motioning towards the first lieutenant.

The major took a moment to process the information before looking to Yanagida and asking "So another gate opened in the base?".

Yanagida responded for Seventeen "The portal closed behind him when he came through so he's stranded here. I can confirm he's not from Earth or the Special region. You can see that by his little Dinosaur partner, and he has some amazing technology".

"Yes, I was just about to ask about the Dinosaur. This technology the first lieutenant is talking about. What is it?" The major asked Seventeen.

Taking out the capsule from the box earlier, Seventeen placed it on the desk.

"This is a capsule. It compresses space to a molecular level, allowing anything inorganic to be stored. I have some books from my world in here if you want to see" Seventeen explained the capsule to him.

"Oh really? Yanagida, I assume you have confirmed this?" the major asked the first lieutenant who nodded in confirmation.

"Yes, and the books and maps inside are very enlightening about his world. It's incredibly interesting" Yanagida replied, giving a nod to Seventeen.

"And what exactly do you do mister Lapis?" The major asked android Seventeen.

"I work full time as a park ranger protecting rare and endangered animals. It's the job me and an old friend of mine agreed to do" Seventeen said while thinking back to android Sixteen. He still had a fond memory of the giant.

"An admirable job indeed. I have a few friends who work in Forestry back home. I'll tell you what. This base is pretty understaffed and overworked, but I'll set you up food and lodging, and tomorrow I'll set aside some time to figure out your situation better. For now, I'm quite busy. First lieutenant, get this guest set up and give him whatever he wants for now" The major said before waving them off and returning to his business.

"Let's go" Yanagida said to Seventeen before bowing to the Major and leaving the office with android Seventeen in tow.

When they left the building to the parking lot, Yanagida explained to him the basic situation about the gate and special region. The two took the Jeep over to what was clearly a housing area that had men and women in various outfits that looked very old and rural, some even in mage robes. They had swords, bows, and staves slung on their backs. It was a strange contrast to the firearms of the army, but it wasn't much concern to Seventeen. Yanagida walked up to some men in the green uniforms of the army who held clipboards and were watching the people milling around.

He spoke with them about finding Seventeen housing at the high-quality residences. After the conversation was over, the men walked with him over to what looked like a very nice decorated hotel in a wide-open area away from the lower-class apartment buildings and crowded courtyards in the area they just were in. It was surrounded by open land and was quiet and peaceful.

At the entrance, there were two soldiers in green that welcomed them. On the inside was a very warm and cozy common room that was quite spacious. Two large widescreen televisions and a large bar and kitchen area sat on the left. On the right was a lounge with very comfortable couches and a fish tank that had various exotic fish and turtles in it. A large staircase made of polished wood with silver railings went upward to what Seventeen assumed were the residences.

"You have a residence on the top floor at the very end of the hall on the left" One of the men in green informed him while walking to the elevator with him.

"Thanks, I don't do well in packed areas" Seventeen said, leaving the attendant to nod in understanding. Many soldiers didn't like being in closed spaces around a lot of people.

The man handed Seventeen a key card that was made of green plastic with a bar code at the top left.

"Use this at the scanner in your room. If you need anything let us know with the phone in the dining room. There is no curfew or check-in" The man said as they got off of the elevator on the top floor.

Seventeen walked down the hall to his residence and scanned the door. It opened smoothly without any creaking and the inside was quite luxurious. The walls were a comfortable reddish-brown wood and a very soft and comfortable gray carpet filled the floor. There was a kitchen across from a large dining room with a mahogany table surrounded by high-end cushioned chairs. The kitchen had a bar and all the necessities of a modern kitchen and more. A hallway extended out of the dining room to four doors.

Walking to them he opened each of them. One was a well-furnished lounge with a small bar and widescreen television. A blu ray player with a set of Gaming consoles sat there. A line of DVDs and games lined the shelf next to the tv. A comfortable-looking couch sat in front of the tv with a table and chairs near the back.

Walking out and checking the other room, he found a large and well-furnished bedroom with a king-sized bed with all the things a bedroom needed. A small bathroom was near the far wall. A large clear glass window looked out over the hills in the back.

The third room had a set of washing machines and dryers along with a line of products that helped with the washing and drying of clothes.

The final room was a large bathroom with a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower at the back. There was a very nice toilet, sink, and mirror. There was a large range of cleaning products on cabinets and shelves.

Seventeen was quite satisfied with his situation. It was much better than camping out in the wilds.

Even though he didn't actually sweat, his clothes had gotten quite dirty and he wanted to wash them.

"Are you hungry little guy?" He asked the Dinosaur that had taken a liking to him over the short time they were together.

The little Pterodactylus nodded and cooed slightly.

Taking out a capsule, he tossed it on the floor and it opened revealing a bunch of bags of various animal food. Taking a bag of meat cubes, he fed some to the Pterodactyl who greedily ate it up. Leaving the Pterodactyl to rest, he focused on himself.

Stripping off his clothes, he took the items and capsules out of his pockets and placed them near the bed in the bedroom. Putting his clothes in the wash and washing them, he had a good hour before they were cleaned. He decided to take a shower to wash his body off and went to the bathroom and turned the water on. He thought of his wife that must have been looking for him by then. He had promised to call her by now and now she was probably worrying herself to death.

His three kids wouldn't see daddy at home any time soon, unfortunately. Regardless, he had saved up a modest sum of Zeni in the case he died that would go to his wife in the unlikely case he died. As the warm water washed over him, he was lost in deep contemplation of his situation.

Before he knew it, he heard the ringing of the washing machine's clothes wash being over.

Stepping out of the shower after shutting off the water, he used some energy to dry himself instantly. Walking over to the clothes machine and removing his clothes, he used his energy to dry them too. It was something he learned to do as many times his job would lead him to diving underwater to save a drowning dinosaur or animal.

Now with warm and clean clothes, he decided he would go look around the base to spend some time. He wore his "MIR" Shirt proudly, after all, he was very proud of being a Monster Island Ranger.

"I'm going to go out for a while, don't destroy anything okay?" He asked the Pterodactyl, which seemed to get the message, curling up on the soft rug.

Locking the door as he exited his apartment, he took the elevator to the first floor and walked through the common area. Sitting in the common area were three people only one in their green outfit watching a movie. They were all women and the movie they were watching didn't interest Seventeen much so he just walked quietly past them and out the door.

One of the women turned her head to see him leave.

"Looks like we have another neighbor Princess Pina" The woman said, her long blonde hair covering her eyes awkwardly due to how quickly she turned her head.

"What was that Bozes?" Came the excited voice of another woman next to her.

Alnus Hill Fort

Android Seventeen

Seventeen had walked for a while leisurely over to the tiny city-like fort. He didn't have much to do other than look for his surroundings and meet people. The buildings he passed were bland and gray, going for utility over style. However, when he got to the edge of the fort town, he found the buildings far more palatable. There were shops, inns, housing, and restaurants. Men and women of various species and races walked the streets going about their days.

Seventeen was taking in his surroundings and enjoying the scenery the best he could, but he couldn't help but worry about his family. Who knows how much time had passed and where he was. Unlike Goku and Vegeta, he couldn't sense Ki. It was something he would have to learn and learn soon.

Just as Seventeen was about to enter a shop, he heard someone call out his name.

"SEVENTEEN! There you are!" Came the sound of an annoying girl that Seventeen really didn't want to deal with.

"Why me?" Seventeen asked himself annoyed that he had to deal with this strange girl.

However, he heard someone else yell to Rory.

"Wait Rory where are you going" Came the voice of a young man in his very early thirties as Rory rushed towards Seventeen. The man Was Itami Yoji, the special forces operative.

Turning to see Rory striding over to him with a vicious smile on her face followed by one of the men in green and a group of young women.

Not really thinking about the ramifications of his actions, right as Rory tried to grab him, he jumped into the air and flew about fourteen feet above Rory, saying "Nope, I don't have time for you Rory. Get lost".

Then his eyes went wide as he realized he had accidentally flown to get away from Rory.

"Ahh shit" Seventeen cursed as now he had another thing he would probably be asked about tomorrow. It wasn't that he was trying to lay low, it was that he didn't want to be needlessly questioned.

"Oh so you can fly too huh Seventeen?" Rory asked, seeing this enigmatic man was getting her quite excited.

"Wow! I'm not imagining this right?" The man in green, Itami asked while looking at Seventeen who was hovering midair with a scowl on his face. It was Itami, not only had he experienced dragons and elves, now there was a flying man.

"Get down here and show me what else you can do. You won't catch me by surprise this time!" Rory called out to Seventeen, her eyes glinting with expectation.

"No! Can't you just leave me alone? I don't have time to play with you" Seventeen asked, hoping to stop this annoying girl from challenging him to a fight every time he saw her.

Rory, not deterred in the slightest jumped up towards him and grabbed his arm, trying to pull him to the ground.

"Yeah, no. Not happening. Goodbye," Seventeen said, shaking her off his arm and shooting into the sky faster than Rory could comprehend before making a sonic boom and flying off away from the base deep into the Special region. The next few days were going to be very long.

After a long time of just flying to clear his mind of the absurd situation, Android seventeen decided to go back to the base. He had nothing else to do right now, and from the villages, he passed over it looked like there would be no technological help from the residents of this world. Maybe if he found a wizard or witch that knew dimensional magic they could help him, but that would come in due time.

Shooting into the sky, he flew back to the housing and landed nearby, walking back to the entrance and walking in he was greeted by the same women from earlier sitting there. The women were still inside and watching movies, however, the golden blonde lady saw him and got up and walked in front of him.

Speaking in quite broken Japanese she addressed him.

"Hello, neighbor, nice to meet you. Why aren't you wearing a green uniform?" She said while giving him a smile.

"I don't have time right now. Tell me your room and maybe we can talk later" Seventeen said, causing her to look at him queerly as if she didn't understand him.

"Alright. I'm on the top floor on the right side of the hall closest to the elevator. Ask for me, Bozes" The woman said with a warm smile.

Android Seventeen nodded and said "Okay, I'll talk to you later" before going over to the elevator. He needed to sit and think by himself, and that's what he would do.

And cut.

I got rid of the Rory fight because it was rushed and poorly written.

Till next time
