Is raining, but not one drop of water is touching the town.

The sirens are turned on in the entire globe but in this quiet village, no sound is heard.

Disconnected from the world, in this abandoned settlement, a thing is reflecting on the nature of its existence and the crimes attributed to it.

The aberration is not ignorant of the hundreds of people in the proximities, forming a perimeter around the ruins of a fishing village.

It knows with absolute certainty what they were doing before its arrival.
It knows with absolute certainty what they will do.
It doesn't know or sense what are doing at the present moment.

It remembers the past and sees the future but the present is denied.

Then a blank in its vision appears, he is not alone as many parahumans come with him, but he is unique. The blank parahuman, as they call them here, corrupts and stains the future, where there is no longer any certainty. The aberration in a humanoid form does not know what will happen, and for a brief moment, it is scared. It imagines a blank world where nothing is knowable and every timeline is corrupted by his influence.

A second pass, the blank is accommodated, as the precognition return. The mentioned parahuman is still a problem, however, after model him, it is at least possible to see beyond the present moment without the timeline collapsing. How correct it is the precognition with the blank is not certain. It doesn't sit well with the abomination.

Another second pass as the monster notes drops of water falling all over the dry village. 'With his problematic arrival, I may have lost my focus' it thinks as a depressing thought return to the surface 'I can't feel the rain, no sense of touch as I imagine'

Time passes as the standoff continues. It looks through multiple futures and possibilities, some are bad, a couple are good enough but the absolute majority ends in hundred of deaths. 'This is depressing, better to observe... the grow of this pine!' A lot of the time this young plant is squash by some parahuman fighting the human-like creature, however, there are instances where it could grow to become relatively short if beautiful pine.

It let the time continues as it observes this tiny conifer age in that precise future. Summer, winter, spring, autumn, summer, winter, spring, autumn, summer, winter, spring, autumn, summer, winter, spring, autumn, summer, winter, spring, autumn, summer, autumn, and again winter. For a monster with no nervous system or any organs for the matter, it is quite relaxing and serves to distract it from its present predicaments.

'Is a therapeutic-like experience to see at such speeds the pass of tim-' The thought is interrupted as the future became blank, totally blank, there is nothing it can sense. For most purposes, is as there is not future.

Not understanding what happened, the abomination tries again in something else, such as a nearby mountain. Years pass as nothing out of the ordinary occurs, then truly nothing, nothing it can see more into the future. That timeline stops without knowing why.

Again and again, it tries but the ultimate destiny, of this part of the world at least, appears to be a dead end. Sometimes are ten years, twenty or more, and others five, it is not a consequence as the ending is the same.

Frustrated with itself for failing to understand what will happen in a few years to provoke such a blank future it can help but to shout in frustration.

Instead of a human voice, a scream is heard by the nearby heroes and villains. Realizing what just it had done, the scream abruptly stops. For a brief moment, it thinks about saying an apology but it remembers that this body has no true mouth.

'I have no mouth and I must scream' it recalls, remembering the expression from a book. Which one it can't say nor what the meaning of it was.

'Not that mattered as the little stunt with the scream cause the majority of futures to have a bad and bloody ending. There are paths to a good ending, where nobody is hurt and I help the good guys. But they are few and needed precise execution across several months or even years to finish especially dealing with the Illuminati-equivalent in this alternate Earth, Cauldron...' Again its thoughts are interrupted, this time not by any holes or blanks in its precognition but what it reveals. Instead of Justice League-like problems it expects, the monster found what and why Cauldron is.

'I have no mouth and I need to vomit' The new coincidence habiting the Simurgh concludes as it realizes this is too much. This day has taxed its mind enough.

Three hours ago it found itself in a new and alien body with superpowers orbiting in space. Minutes later it enters Earth Bet's surface without noticing any heat as the air around the angelic figure ignites to land in a remote village. As it learns about its powers, it learns about this comic-like world and what on Earth this body is supposed to be through the heavy use of precognition.

It learns why people would flee if it appears in the middle of Calcutta or Paris. It learns what is and what has done the Simurgh. How many people this body has killed and the many more caged and quarantined by her scream. Fortunately, it doesn't retain any memories of the original angelic being and her deeds but the devastating guilt is still there. It knows, intellectually, that none of the actions committed were by its hand...

But it truly made any difference to Carlos? Whose son died in front of his eyes in the attack on Canberra by debris.

Or to Emma? Poor Emma was just a nine-year-old girl when she took her parents from her. Poor Emma, who is dying slowly to hunger as the supplies drop in the Australian city is not enough to sustain the population and gangs hoard what little of the food and medical supplies are.

It was too much to process then, it was too much when the blank spot or Eidolon as he is called, but what broke the camel's back is learning about Scion and what are the powers in this universe.

It would like to cry, to go home, and falls asleep in its mother's arms. It would like to do it as the new mind in Simurgh's body can't. Not just because is an alternative Earth. It can't remember its past, no who it was or where it lived.

So knowing it is not the best course of action, the angelic being stands up and starts flying. Flying up, far away from this broken planet, flying up, far away from this damage, incredible and resilient humanity.

Far away from this Parahuman Earth.
