Oliver is in that cemetery in Star City, like every week, talking about what was going on in his life, hoping that somehow she could hear it.
Almost five years ago, he was standing at the grave beside John, his leader, and Lyla, the argus director for whom he worked. Behind them was his sister Thea, the only person what was left of his family after the death of their mother three years ago from breast cancer, Roy his boyfriend, a new addition to the agency recently.
Slade Wilson and his wife Shado, who ran a security agency, and with whom he worked from time to time, especially if the mission was more difficult than expected. Tommy Merlyn his former best friend who hadn't spoken to him since that fateful day, Laurel Lance his childhood friend but also his ex-girlfriend before the gambit and ex-girlfriend of Tommy since a few months. While she was away, sharing their suffering, Laurel had moved closer to the woman he loved, and over the months they had become best friends. Malcom and Donna Merlyn, who had left the city two years ago for travel, Malcom having left the reins of the Merlyn Global to his son.
Following the wreck of the gambit and the death of his father in the process, Oliver had been reported missing and dead for five long years. He had been discovered alive on an desert island called purgatory in the China Sea, where he had known during his first two years of forced exile Slade who had taught him to fight and Shado to hunt and survive. Together they had escaped from purgatory, before Oliver was back on the island three years later to be found by a fishing boat passing by. Back to Star City, he didn't want to be the CEO of the family business, being become an entirely different person. So, he had worked for the Argus, after Amanda Waller asked him to work on a assignment. Director Waller had been killed by a former agent at the Argus headquarters a year after Oliver arrived.
Oliver had heard the priest's voice saying the last sacraments, but had not paid attention to the man. He had stopped listening to all those around him long ago, the doctors, his friends. After waking up in that hospital bed, he had felt the pain and loss, he had remembered the bullets that had struck him in the chest, in the legs. This night would be permanently anchored in her memory. This night would be his own purgatory where he would live daily knowing he had seen the woman of his life die.
Once the ceremony ended, everyone had come to shake his hand and offer their condolences for the loss he had suffered. Everybody knew how significant Felicity was to the agent. Oliver had looked at the coffin with the star of David on it, the officials had lowered it with much care. Oliver's heart had broken a little deeper when the coffin disappeared into the ground, thinking of the charred body of his love lying in this coffin. He had lifted his head for a moment and had seen Tommy, Felicity's brother, walking toward him, his eyes full of hatred toward him.
"You are the reason she died. You are the reason I lost my sister. You told me that you would protect her," he had yelled.
"Tommy, you need to calm down," had said John approaching the two men "This is not the day to fight. She'd be upset if you fought today.
"She didn't want to die either," he had said, watching Oliver with black anger. "You have killed him with dreams of saving the world, with spy agency, because of you, my sister's in this box."
"He's not to blame and you know it, Tommy," Lyla had said, trying to calm him down.
Lyla remembered the moment that she had been promoted to Waller's place after she was dead. She had asked Oliver if he wanted to leave or keep working for them and become a real government agent. He had opted for the second option and since then, led by his leader John Diggle, he was trying to save the world.
"Of course he's responsible," he had shouted. "Without his promises of changing the world together, she would not have been killed. She would have stayed with me working in our father's company, and she'd be alive. His wrath against Oliver pervaded him, and he approached his best friend furiously. Diggle, who had seen him approach quickly, had been forced to take steps before Tommy hits Oliver.
"Tommy, you know I would have liked to die in his place," Oliver had said, while tears streamed down his cheeks.
"You're a murderer! I never should have let you be with her! If only you had died on that island, she'd still be alive," He had threw himself at Oliver to hit him, but Diggle had pushed him away.
"TOMMY" had exclaimed Laurel, "It was Felicity's decision to work with the agency and you know it. Oliver is not forcing her to join him, nor to fall in love with him.
The young man with the black hair had looked at her furiously, and all those people around him. He did not understand why no one other than him blamed Oliver for his sister's death. When it was for him that she wasn't there anymore. It was his fault he couldn't see the smile on his face again, to quarrel with her, have his little sister with him. He blamed himself for not dissuaded him from having a relationship with his best friend back then.
When Tommy was fifteen, Felicity had done his entrance in his life. She had become his sister by his father's marriage to the mother of the young woman. When he was a kid, his mom had been murdered in the Glades. His father had lost his footing and Tommy had spent more time with the Queens than at home. Malcolm Merlyn had worked tirelessly, traveling the country for work, taking no part in any activity with his son, often leaving him alone with the governess.
One year before Tommy met Felicity, Malcolm had come back coming home from a completely transformed business trip to Las Vegas with a smile on his face. He had discovered that his father had found love in the person of a cocktail waitress named Donna Smoak. Having a long-distance relationship for a while, one day, Malcolm had decided to ask the woman who had made him happy again, to marry him and come to live in Starling. That was the wedding day when Tommy had met his new sister, who was six years younger than him. She was very smart, as soft as her mother, and had long dark hair. Although they did not share the same blood, Tommy had accepted Felicity Smoak as his younger sister to some extent.
The day Felicity had met Oliver, his best friend soon saw her as her younger sister, just like Thea, who had became Felicity's best friend. Both girls spent all their time with the boys and their friends Laurel and Sarah Lance, daughter of the city police detective. They spent their holidays together, and sometimes they were joined by Laurel and Sarah. Tommy was finally very happy, with a very sweet mother-in-law who was paying mind to him. With his father spending a lot more time with him, he was interested in his studies, his hobbies. And a lovely little sister, who he enjoyed spending time with.
The years passed without difficulty until Oliver disappeared and was declared dead during a business trip with his father. Tommy had been devastated, Oliver being a brother to him. He had taken care of Thea, protecting her as his sister. He had been able to see Felicity shutting down, not speaking, not smiling. He had understood then that the young woman, then aged sixteen, felt more than Platonic feelings towards Oliver Queen.
Tommy had always believed that Felicity considered Oliver a brother, but he had understood her reaction, she was in love. She had locked herself in studies, was gone to MIT, had adopted the gothic look and very rarely came back to Starling, except for the holidays. After three years, she had returned home with a master's degree in technology and cybersecurity, blond hair. Then she had started working for Merlyn Global in the IT department, not wanting a senior job because she was the boss's daughter.
Two years after the young woman came back, Oliver had been found on an island, but he was no longer the same boy. The playboy who liked having another girl in bed and cheating on his girlfriend all the time had disappeared with the Gambit. He had become harder, more closed, he wanted to change the world, to chase those who wanted to enslave the city or the world. The only person who had been able to pull him out of his personal hell emotionally was Felicity, with his goodness and love. Oliver had been seduced by the girl who had become a woman and had fallen in love with her, dragging her on his quest to save the city and the world. Her sister had left Merlyn Global and had worked as a analyst at the agency.
Tommy had warned the young woman of the risk to which she would be exposed with this Job. That her relationship with Oliver would never make her happy. But she had refused to listen to what he had to say. So he had requested Oliver to repel her, not to talk to her about her feelings. To let her go with another man, but his friend had refused because he loved his sister deeply. Unable to separate them, Tommy had been obliged to do him to promise to protect her no matter what. Not to deceive her. His best friend had promised to love her, because he had never felt that kind of feeling for another woman. He also had promised him to prevent her from going on a assignment in the field. He had broke his promise and she was dead. Tommy had opened his eyes again, leaving his memories far behind him..
Looking at all the people around him, they had blamed them all for Felicity's death. He had warned Oliver that he never wanted to see him again. Because of him, he had lost the wonderful life he had had since his sister arrived. He had come of the cemetery without another look at his old friends A short time later, all other persons present had left the cemetery in their turn. Laurel had given Oliver a hug, but he had not felt his warmth, he hadn't felt a thing since he had lost Felicity. He had stood up in front of the tomb, staring into the void, hoping a miracle would happen. Diggle's hand on his shoulder had brought him out of his lethargy.
"I'll get you back to the hospital, Oliver. The doctors told you not to spend too much time on your legs. You're not completely cured."
He had listened to the voice wrapped in sadness of his friend . John had been the first to know that he loved this young woman. And the one to have learned to their secret marriage within weeks before the ambush
"She was pregnant, John," he had said with broken words. "We were going to say that to you soon. That investigation should have been the last one for her. I suppose that's the truth now," had he argued bitterly.
Oliver had put his gaze on his wife's coffin, "goodbye my love" had he whispered. He had squeezed the wrists of his crutches so hard until his knuckles hurt. He then had authorized Diggle to bring him back to the car to go back to the hospital.
It was five years ago and he recalled it like it was yesterday. The day his heart died just like his wife's body.
When he had met Felicity, she was just a kid. After her return from purgatory, she was twenty-one years old and had become a beautiful woman, wearing dresses that clung to her body and showed her magnificent curves. He had spent a lot of nights dreaming all the things he could do to her. Dreaming about taking her to every room in the mansion. Making her scream her name over and over again, getting her to orgasm over and over again. He had often been forced to relieve himself with his hand, being awakened by his erotic dreams wishing that it was she who held his hardened limb making him explode in his hand.
Apart from his desire for her, he had come to know the kind, generous, smart, and kindly woman she had become during her absence. And he had enjoyed spending time with her, she had made him see life differently and had progressively brought him out of his personal hell.
The first time he had involved him in an assignment for the agency was for the file on the death of John Diggle's brother. He had brought her a laptop full of bullets and had asked her to find anything she could find on Deadshot's next target. She had done this in minutes, and Oliver had managed to catch, with his help, the largest known sniper in the world.
Afterwards, he had often come to ask her for help on files that the Argus computer agents were unable to resolve. More and more engaged, she had left Merlyn Global one day, Lyla offering her a job as chief analyst. They loved each other after being friends and associates, Sadly Agency policy did not permit co-workers to marry. But Oliver never had wanted to leave her with another man. One weekend, he had brouht her to Vegas and had proposed to Felicity. Even though they had been forced to keep their marriage secret due to the agency, they had married that weekend.
Weeks before the assignment, they had found out that Felicity was expecting their first child. They would become parents, which had filled Oliver's heart with joy. Unfortunately, this assignment had not let him enjoy the joy of being a father, of continuing to be a loving husband. Oliver had become different after Felicity's death. As each day went by, Oliver had no only one objective in mind. Revenge against those that have taken his happiness.
Oliver stayed a while longer, sitting on the lawn recalling the time spent together. When he realized the time, he placed a kiss with his hand on the tomb of his wife. He murmured words of love and went back to his bike to return to the agency.

Far from Star City, Canada, in the province of Ontario, in a small cottage on Lake Erie, near the town of Amherstburg, a young woman is unable to sleep because of the heavy rains that fall for more than an hour.. She listens to the drops beating like drums on the roof and the shutters of her small home, preventing her from sleeping, inflicting her with irrational fear. After a while, consumed by the fear that increase his heartbeat, and in the despair that this sound finally stops, she hide her head underneath the pillow, but this useless. She can always hear the rain beating down the flaps repeatedly. She shakes her teeth, doing everything in her power not to scream, keeping her screams deep inside her.
The terror she feel gone with the end of the storm and she can finally fall asleep a few hours before dawn. Tired of her little night, but forced to get up despite everything, she prepared for the day. She turn on the coffee maker while contemplating the magnificent view from her window. Taking her cup of coffee, she leaves out of the house, go to the end of the terrace, sit down feet in the sand, watching the reflections of the sun on the lake. Turning her face to look at that beautiful expanse, she can see a man coming by her side. She makes him a sign from his hand, a smile on his face. The man sit down beside her, smiling in turn.
"How was your night?" asks he,
"I had a very good night," she said, shaking his hands one against the other.
"You don't have to be strong for me, I know you hate storms. And I know you don't fall asleep when it rains."
She did not reply, she had always hated storms for many years. she didn't want to another talk with him about his visceral fear of thunderstorms or single rain. He files his hand on his cheek, fondling it with his thumb. The young woman feel a sense of well-being in this gesture and approaches him by putting her head on his shoulder.
"Do not worry for me, I prefer and I can manage this fear by myself"
"I know you can," he said leaning over to give him a kiss on the forehead, "I don't want you to continue to handle this on your own."
"Mia will wake up, I have to go back."
"Avoiding the subject of your fears will not help you identify them. Whenever I tell you about it, you always find an excuse for not talking about it with me," he sighs.
The young woman stand up and begins to turn when the man puts his feet into the sand and lures her against him. She relaxes against her chest, wrapping her arms round her body. She does everything that she can to keep away from the conflicting feelings she might feel by being so close to him.
"I love you Meghan" he whispering in his hair.
"Idem," she answering.
Colin Becker was the doctor of one of the districts of the city, very appreciated by his customers, thanks to his kindness towards all. Meghan worked with him as a doctor's secretary. They did not live together, and the young woman always hesitated to settle down with him. He watches her for a moment and then lay a gentle kiss on her lips. Meghan seeds away, not allowing her to deepen the kiss, and then come back to her house to prepare breakfast. After getting Mia ready, she kiss Colin's cheek and then leave home to take the little girl to her nanny's.
Meghan just escorted the second-last customer to the door of the medical office, when a scent filled her senses reminding her of a forgotten feeling. For five years, she'd had moments like this one where a scent, a sound, an encounter, had given her as if she had already experienced this feel. And when this feeling came to her, she then tried to remember where she could have smell the perfume around her. To hear the sound that surprised her. Where she could have met this person. This constant questioning has kept her from finding answers in his blank memory. She wanted at least once to be able to remember and say "oh yeah, this is where I had..." But every time there was no memory, and sometimes she blamed herself , thinking not to make enough efforts to trigger her memory.
"Was it the last customer, Meghan ?" asks Colin when he approached her.
Still in her thoughts, trying to remember where she had already smelled that smell, Meghan not pay focus to the arrival of the young man beside her. It was at the time he spread his arms around his waist that she come out of her underpass of erased memories.
"Excuse me, I never meant to surprise you"
"That's fine, Colin," she said, leaving her arms and going to her desk. "I'm tired enough today, so I don't pay too much focus to my surroundings"
"You can go home, get Mia and get some sleep. I'll take care of the last customer. I can deal with little Adrian Parker without you, sweetheart." says he then laying a kiss on his neck after following her to his office.
She moves again to get away from him but Colin grabbed her by the waist, turns her over, glued her against her body, loving the sensation of her beautiful curves, and then lay a little kiss on her lips.
"May I come afterwards ?" says he.
"Shouldn't you visit one of the Olson girls after the Parker boy? "
"Yes, that's right," said he, putting one of his hands on his cheek. "But you will always be my girl Meghan," said he with a kiss on his lips, but the young woman walked away.
This had reproduced again, the feeling that somebody else told him the same thing. Had made the same gesture. But when she was going through into her memory for remembering, the pages of his life were white
"What's the problem?" he asks.
"Nothing, it's just..."
"It happened again, didn't it? One of your sensory feelings," he says. "They often appear right after there's been a storm," says Colin, placing his hands on his shoulders.
"I know," she says. "I don't know how to control them or figure them out."
"You shouldn't be on your own during a storm, Meghan. If you left me live with you, we could get married and become a family with Mia."
"I can't marry you, Colin. Until I know who I am, I will never change my mind."
"You're the one I love and that's the only thing I care about"
"How can you love me ? I have many scars on my body."
"Because I look beyond your scars. And to me, you're the prettiest woman.
"But I wish I knew who I was before those scars. And the way I got them."
"You have to stop focusing on what you were. You're Meghan Kuttler. I'm in love with you. The woman I intend to marry," he said, embracing her.
"I can't right now, Colin. I appreciate all you've brought me since we met. and to my daughter, but... I need to know the truth... I don't like mysteries."
"I was here for you and Mia, because you're both my family. I love you Meghan."
"Idem"
"I'd like to hear you say something else."
"I know, Colin. I just can't explain why I can't say what you want from me. I'm sorry."
He wanted to keep convincing her to give up thinking about her past. She was supposed to live her life in the present, with him. Instead he took her in his arms, and embraced her passionately. Meghan finally gave in to the feel that he made her feel . They were forced to separate by the arrival of Mrs Parker and her son in the lobby.
"I'm gonna get Mia and go home. I'm going to think about our discussion," she said, passing her hand through her short hair, caressing her beard before taking a step back.
Colin smiled at her and approaches her, preventing her from going away entirely. He asks her again if he could to see her that night after the little girl went to bed and is asleep. Since their meeting, the doctor had never stayed at the young woman's place. He would always leave for Mia's bedtime, watching his mother tell her a story or doing this himself
He hoped that this time, the woman he loved from the first day she crossed his path, would accept his demand. Meghan staring at him intensely and wondered if Colin was right at all. That she was working too hard to remember a past who didn't want to surface again. If this was not the time to go ahead and create a new life with this man who brought him so much love. She leans over him with a smile, kiss his lips lightly and whispers his agreement before escaping through the door leaving him in the middle of the hall with a big smile on his face.
