Mii Brawler and the 15-Minute Multi-Man Smash
It's a beautiful morning at the Smash Mansion where Reginald the Mii Brawler is training with his Sandbag when suddenly, he saw Master Hand floating in. He said to me, "Good morning, Reginald. Still training for your next match?"
"That's right, Master," Reginald replied as he threw multiple punches at the Sandbag.
"Well then, I have some good news for you. This year marks Super Smash Bros. Melee's 20th anniversary and so, I have arranged a very special 15-Minute Multi-Man Smash to commemorate this occasion just for you!"
"Wow! A special match for me?"
"That's right! If you can survive this match, then you'll receive a huge surprise. So, do you accept the challenge?"
Reginald looked at the stadium and with a smile, he said, "Of course I'll go for it and after all, it is Melee's 20th birthday. Master Hand, I accept the challenge!"
Master Hand agreed with me and said, "Great! The match starts in three minutes at Midair Stadium. Good luck, buddy!"
With that, Reginald ran as fast as he could to Midair Stadium for his special match.
At the stadium, the crowd is cheering with excitement as they are ready to see some Smash Bros. action. Just then, the announcer's voice came on and said, "Good morning, fight fans! Xander Mobus here and today is a very special day for us as Super Smash Bros. proudly presents a very special match to commemorate the 20th anniversary of... SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE!"
With that, the entire stadium cheered for this moment as the screen shows Melee's roster. Then Xander said, "That's right, folks. Twenty years of Melee and we have a very special Multi-Man Smash for you. So, are you ready to meet today's fighter?""
The arena agreed with him as they cheered.
"All right, then! Making his way to the arena is the Brawler of Many Faces! Here he is, the Mii Brawler... REGINALD!"
Just then, Reginald came in to the cheers of the crowd as he entered the stadium with his green Fighter Uniform.
Xander smiled at the crowd and said to Reginald, "Now in this match, you will go head-to-head against a series of Alloys in a 15-minute Multi-Man Smash. All you have to do is defeat as many as you can before time runs out. Got it?"
"Got it, Xander" Reginald replied with a smile.
"All right, then. Good luck to you and have fun. Now, take your place!"
So Reginald assumed his fighting stance as the clock shows 15:00 on the scoreboard. With that, the battle is all set.
Xander looked at the arena and said, "Reginald... ARE YOU READY?"
"Of course I'm ready, Xander," Reginald replied with a thumbs up, "Let's do this!"
"All right! Now on the count of three, the battle will begin. Three..."
Reginald took his stance.
"Two..."
The Alloys came in as they took their stance.
"One..."
It all comes down to this. Just one more word and the fight will begin. The crowd grew very silent as they await the signal to fight.
Xander Mobus looked at the fighters, took one final deep breath and then...
It is time.
"GO!"
With the word shouted, Reginald charged into battle with the Alloys as the match officially begins.
"And the 15-Minute Multi-Man Smash is underway," Xander announced to the audience, "This is going to be a long run for this Mii Brawler."
Reginald starts the match with an Exploding Side Kick to knock out the first Alloy before continuing on with a Helicopter Kick to defeat two more.
The crowd is enjoying the action as Reginald defeats more Alloys with his punches and kicks.
"So for, Reginald has defeated thirty Alloys and we still have ten minutes left in this match," Xander said, "Looks like Reginald is the lean, mean, fighting machine."
AS the match raged on, Reginald kept on fighting as he defeated his 40th Alloy. Now he has 50, 60, 70, 80, 90!
"Wow! Reginald has just defeated his 100th Alloy with only five minutes left," Xander announced to the crowd. "Looks like he's doing a great job as we enter the homestretch and currently, he only has 88% damage. Amazing!"
As the Alloys continue to enter the stadium, Reginald knocked them out with his special attacks. The scoreboard continues to add up as the timer enters its final two minutes of the match.
"Look at that, folks! Reginald now has 150 Alloys defeated with only one minute left," Xander said, "This is an amazing achievement for this Mii Brawler and I can tell you, he is one tough fighter. Right, guys?"
The crowd agreed as they are cheering for him.
With only a few seconds left in the game, Reginald kept on fighting as his damage meter shows 200%.
"Thirty seconds," Xander announced.
As the battle enters its final moments, the crowd is cheering louder than ever.
"Twenty seconds!"
Everyone in the arena is ready for the exciting conclusion to this match as the timer is now flashing red. The crowd saw the remaining time and began counting down the final moments. It all comes down to this, the final ten seconds.
"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six..."
Xander looked at the timer and decided to join in for the final countdown. Only five seconds separate Reginald from victory.
"Five, four, three, two, one..."
BUZZ!
The final buzzer has sounded as the timer hits zero, signaling the end of a thrilling match. Xander heard the buzzer and then...
It's official.
"GAME!"
With the word shouted, the crowd erupted in big cheers as Reginald finished the long battle with 270% damage.
The judges are busy adding up the scores and after a few moments of waiting, the decision has been made. Xander Mobus smiled and said, "Ladies and gentlemen! It has been a very tough showdown to honor twenty years of Super Smash Bros. Melee and now, the results are in. After fifteen minutes of smashing, Reginald has defeated a total of..."
Reginald looked at the scoreboard as he is waiting for the all important part, the final results.
The stadium held their breath as the screen is about to reveal his fate. The process takes fifteen seconds and then...
DING!
The final score has been revealed to him. Xander looked at the board and then...
He made his official announcement.
"TWO HUNDERED ALLOYS! A NEW RECORD! REGINALD HAS SURVIVED THE 15-MINUTE SMASH!"
Reginald has done it. He has defeated a grand total of 200 Alloys as the crowd gave him a huge standing ovation. Then he did his cartwheels, a roundhouse kick, and a huge kick to signify his official victory.
Xander Mobus smiled as he clapped along with the crowd for his amazing achievement. Then he came to Reginald and said with a hug, "You did it, Reginald! Congratulations!"
"Thanks, Xander," Reginald replied with a smile.
"So, how do you feel after that amazing battle?"
"It feels great! I am so glad to be celebrating 20 years of Super Smash Bros. Melee with a nice battle and now, here I am after a long fought battle with the Alloys."
"Well, we are so proud of you for surviving this amazing battle and now, I have one more thing waiting for you behind the blue door. Are you ready for this?"
"Of course!"
"All right, then. Now close your eyes and wait for my signal."
Reginald agreed as he covered his eyes. Then Xander said, "Open the blue door!"
With that, the blue doors open up as a food item came to him.
Xander came to me and said, "Ready?"
"You know it." Reginald replied with a smile.
"Okay! On the count of three! One, two, three..."
With that, Reginald opened his eyes and then...
It has been revealed.
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REGINALD!"
Reginald was surprised as confetti fell on him with the crowd making another standing ovation as he saw a huge red cake with a fist symbol on it. Then he said, "You made this for me on my 32nd birthday?"
"That's right," Xander replied, "We made this surprise party because of your amazing achievement that you've done today! Happy birthday, Reginald!"
"Thanks, Xander!"
And so, Reginald hugged Xander as he enjoys his birthday after a hard fought battle.
