Title: The Lovers Card
Fandom: Teen Titans (2003 Animated Series)
Pairing: Raven/Starfire (RaeStar)
Rating: G/K
Prompt: Folktale #15) Into the Woods—A wild, dark place of some kind must be transverse before our protagonist can find resolution.
Language: English
Word Count: 360
Content Notes: None.
Author Notes: I've been so focused on being a mega fangirl for BBrae and RobStar that I never realized how cute RaeStar is. Might make a few more RaeStar fics in the future since I've done at least two or three RobStar fics and have definitely made enough BBRae content.
Summary: The first time Raven lets Starfire witness her mental meditations, it's out of exasperation. The fifth time, it's out of love and respect.
Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans, nor am I or will I ever profit from this work.

RAVEN SIGHED AS SHE ALLOWED STARFIRE to drag her into the main lobby of the tower. "While I really appreciate your concerns, I would rather do this alone, Starfire. The last time people on the team got into my mind, I almost lost to a mental image of my father."
" Nonsense, friend! I wish to be present and be able to give aid at every single step you take to meditate yourself. Our switch of the bodies from two fortnights ago has sparked in me a desire to see more of how you perform the tasks of half-demon, in case we are to become each other again one day! After all, the Tamarenean people do not let those they are close to suffer in isolation."
Raven turned around to say something, but at the cheerful expression of the other female, she instead sighed again and sat on the middle of the lobby couch. Starfire quickly sat down next to her and clapped her hands excitedly.
"Oh, Raven, this will be quite the exciting! I see why friends Cyborg and Beast Boy explored your mind," the alien exclaimed as she leaned as close as possible to the half-demon, much to the latter's chagrin. At the very least, Starfire was not insufferable and would not mess up the mental workings of Raven on purpose, which is what made Raven allow the naive princess to be a part of her daily routine.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos...Azarath Metiron Zinthos.."

"The Tamaranean people do not let those they are close to suffer in isolation," Raven said to Starfire at night the day Raven defeats her father. Starfire instantly turned around and hugged Raven.
"You remember the teachings of Tamaranean I have told to you many periods ago!"
Starfire kissed Raven on the cheeks, and Raven flashed a rare genuine smile.
"I thought about it towards the end of the battle between me and my father. I know I don't say this enough, but your culture's dedication to friendship and care for others is a feat that deserves recognition. Thank you for what you have done."
Raven kissed Starfire on the lips, and Starfire returned it.

[ENDING AN:] And with that, I've uploaded all the works I did for the Folklore Tropes Table Challenge at femslash_ficlets. It was a very funny experience even though I technically finished the challenge late. Hopefully I can do more lengthy challenges for this group in the future, and make sure to finish them before the deadline as well as maybe not wait till the last 1 or 2 weeks of the challenge to ask to participate lol.
