I.
THE SUOMOUS WITCH HAD BEEN CAPTIVATED BY THE ORRUSIAN WITCH the second they had crossed paths. When Eila had first entered the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, Sanya helped her look for her striker unit, and in turn, Eila would accompany and talk to the younger girl through communications whenever Sanya did her nightly run in the sky to search for any upcoming Neruoi approaches.
They had bonded through the few hours Sanya would be awake in the morning, and they had fall-outs and reconnections through events such as their argument over Yoshika accompanying Sanya to destroy a Neruoi core at the apex of the obelisk. After Gallia was liberated and the 501st station disbanded, they went on vacation together and attempted to locate Sanya's parents in Orussia, and although they were prevented from doing so, they vowed to in the future to continue their search, even as they were fighting in Romagna to aid Yoshika after Eila received a divination that the Fuso witch was in danger.
Eila cared not that Sanya was the same gender as her or from another country. She loved Sanya, and she could not see herself with a man or anyone else in general.
II.
Juutilainen flipped the rectangular card in her hand and smirked as she wiggled it in front of a halfway-drowsy Litvyak, the two on a truck in Suomous to stay at Eila's home for a while before they would go find another way to enter Orussia.
"The Lovers Card. I see a future of pure intimacy and devotion in your hands."
Sanya lifted her head up from Eila's lap.
"You seem to be giving me that card a lot, lately," Sanya said before she rubbed at her eyes and yawned, "and I have to ask, Eila... are you doing it on purpose? "
The 16 year old fake-gasped. "Give good futures on purpose? Me? Never. "
Eila looked to the side with a smirk, and Sanya shook her head and gave a small laugh.
"Oh, Eila…"
III.
"After all the sketches and stories you've sent me, I finally get to be face to face with the Orussian pianist you're so fawn of"—Aurora laughed as Eila attempted and failed to cover Aurora's mouth—"and it seems to me that what you said in your letters was right—she really does look like a doll! I can see why you wanna go show her the Northern Lights Exhibit."
"W-W-What? Aurora! You promised you wouldn't tell her about that!" Eila shouted as she pointed accusingly at Aurora.
Aurora smirked, wrapped an arm around Sanya's right shoulder, and looked at the green-eyed witch as she responded playfully, "Oh yeah, you did. Opps. Sorry for spoiling it for you, Sanya. I was just so moved by my little sister's adoration of you!"
Sanya simply looked down with a blush and sheepish smile.
I should have never introduced Sanya to Aurora before we made it official, Eila thought as she covered her face in embarrassment.
(Eila spent the rest of the day with her face in her pillows, while Sanya stayed in the guest room.)
IV.
"Is this…to go to the Northern Lights Exhibit? "
Eila looked away from Sanya's surprised face. "Yeah. Sorry for Aurora ruining the surprise for y—gah! "
Eila stumbled incoherent words as she felt Sanya hug her.
"Being told early on that we'll have such a special event to go witness together only made me happier, Eila…As long as I get to spend time with you while we're still in Suomous, I'm satisfied…"
"…Oh, well, that's great to hear…I can't wait to show you how the polar lights look in my country compared to yours, " Eila responded as she patted the other witch's back and guessed that, for once, perhaps her sister's meddling in her affairs wasn't that much of an issue…
