A/N: So, this turned out differently than I originally intended. Please forgive me for that fact. My mood has been rather…dark. Enjoy.

OOOOOOOOO

"Oh, so now you're walking away from me?" Seth demanded, following Desiree through the hotel room suite. "What's this? You can't face the music?"

Desiree rolled her chocolate eyes. "I'm tired of arguing with you about this. Either you're coming with me to my parents' for the holidays or I'm going by myself. I don't need you around to impress my parents."

"Yeah, because you know they really believe that you're in a healthy relationship for once in your life," Seth said sarcastically."You've never wanted me to meet them before."

"Well, they want to meet you now." Desiree crossed her arms, refusing to look at him. "And the least that you could do is make the effort to see them. Make them see that I have a decent relationship with someone who isn't a thug."

Seth jumped in front of her. "So I'm only decent?"

Desiree sighed. "Stop making me out to be some kind of bad person. You know what I meant, Seth."

"Do I? Do I know what you really think of me?" Seth ground out, glaring at her.

The Diva was not one to back down and let people glare at her without consequences. She bristled to her full height and stuck a finger under his chin.

"Fuck you," she spat. "You know how I feel about you. I tell you how I feel about you every single day. But clearly, it won't make it through your thick skull. So fuck you, I'm going out."

Desiree reached for her purse, but Seth knocked it out of reach. The Diva's eyes narrowed into slits and she pushed him back. Seth ground his teeth together and put his hand around her throat, squeezing just a little as he backed her up against the wall.

"Let. Go." Desiree ordered between clenched teeth.

"Not until you calm the fuck down," Seth stated, holding her gaze.

"You're the one with the anger issues," Desiree growled, gripping his wrist and trying to pry his hand from her throat. "So let me go."

Seth looked over her, trying to remind himself why he loved her so much. Desiree was a beautiful shade of mocha and had a body that people killed for. She was a pintsized firecracker and he had fallen fast and hard for her. She had done the same for him, she'd said.

Then why do we fight so often? Why are we constantly at each other's throats?

Seth felt fire in his veins as he looked at her. Her skin was warm under his hand and Seth reached out with his free hand, brushing back a thick tendril of hair that had fallen in her face. Her breath softened slightly and she flexed her fingers on his wrist.

Their lips clashed together, exchanging heated kisses. Seth kissed her hard and she bit him in return. He growled deep in his chest and pulled her away from the wall. He tore at her clothes, peeling off what layers blocked him from her soft skin. Desiree copied him, tugging at his clothes until they fell away.

They fell in a tumble of limbs on the big bed in the middle of the room. Seth ran a hand down her body and found the apex of her thighs. He started massaging her lightly, teasingly at first. Desiree mewled happily and arched her body into his, demanding more touches.

Seth kept her going over the edge until she released heavily on his hand. He trailed his soaked fingers up her thigh to her stomach to her breast where he palmed the heavy swell. Desiree took in a sharp breath and curled her nails into his shoulders.

"Seth…" she purred, batting those chocolate eyes that he loved so much.

Seth slowly entered her and she cried out with ecstasy. He started a series of thrusts, taking his time with her. Her feet scrambled at the bed, trying for purchase. Seth felt her nails dig deeper into his skin, the very fact driving him to go harder, faster. Desiree's body arched into his and she cried out curses and his name as if praying.

OOOOOOOO

Seth spooned Desiree hours later, feeling a lot calmer than before. He stroked her skin and listened to her breathing. She sighed and slid a hand over his, causing it to still.

"Seth, what are we doing?" she asked.

"What do you mean, peach?"

"This. Why are we like this?" Desiree waved her hand. "We fight, then we end up in a big tumble. It's not…it can't be healthy, right?"

Seth shifted on the bed. "I don't think that. I'm sure we have a healthy relationship."

"I'm not so sure, sugar." Desiree sighed. "It might be time to give it a rest. Before one us gets hurt."

Those words struck cold in his gut. Seth tightened his grip on her and turned her slightly so he could see her face. He couldn't possibly dream of not seeing it every morning when he woke up or before he closed his eyes at night. Seth couldn't imagine a world of not holding her close and breathing in her sweet scent.

"Desiree, no…peach, no." Seth hugged her tightly. "Don't say that. We can make our relationship work. We've been doing it for a year and five months now." He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I don't want to lose you. I'll do whatever it takes to make this work."

"Hon," Desiree sighed, pulling herself out of his grasp. "It's not fair to either of us."

Seth sat up and watched her move around the room, pulling her clothes back on. "Desiree, please."

Desiree looked at him with sadness in her brown eyes. "Is it okay if I come back tomorrow for the rest of my stuff? I'm – I'm going to go to a friend's room tonight." She picked up her keycard and purse. "Seth, I'm – I'm sorry."

Seth watched her walk out with stinging eyes. Tears threatened to spill over and Seth buried his face against the pillow, screaming into it. He smelled the lingering scent of Desiree on the pillows, but it was fading. All of it was going away and he missed it. He wanted to cling to it forever. To have the source at his side, always.

Seth jumped out of bed and pulled on random clothes, not caring if they matched or not. He grabbed his keys and walked out of the hotel room. His eyes scanned the hall before he moved towards the elevator. He tried to think of what his next move was as he waited for the elevator to come, but all his thoughts swirled to Desiree and her sudden absence.

He jumped out of the elevator on the lobby floor and looked towards the entrance. Desiree stood there with Nikki Bella and looked like she'd been crying. Her eyes widened when she saw him and she took a step back.

"Desiree!" Seth called out, walking towards her.

Nikki stepped in front of her and crossed her arms. "Seth, just leave it alone. You two are taking a break from each other and it's probably the healthiest thing for you. Leave her alone and move along. For everyone's sake."

Seth clenched his fist. "I've never harmed a woman in my life, but I swear to God, if you don't move, Nikki, you'll be the first."

"Classy, real classy, Seth," Nikki said, rolling her eyes. She turned slightly to look at Desiree. "Now I can see what you mean about the temper."

Seth looked at his girl. She was his. He had to have her back.

"Desiree, come back to me," he said, his voice strained. "Please. We can work through whatever you think we need to. Just…come back."

Desiree shook her head and took a step back towards the door. "I'm sorry, sugar. I can't. I won't. You – you need to take a good hard look at yourself and heal whatever's been eating at you." She turned away from him. "Maybe you'll find someone better suited to you."

Seth took a step forward. "But I only want you!" he exclaimed, his voice echoing in the nearly empty lobby. "I can't lose you, Desiree! Please!"

"You already did, hon," Desiree whispered, heading out into the night.

Nikki glanced at him with a mixture of sympathy and warning on her face. She too turned and walked out, leaving the revolving door spinning. Seth stood there in the lobby, unmoving as if he'd been turned to living stone.

"I can't lose you," he whispered, staring after her. "I won't."

Seth's hands clenched into fists and he turned, heading into the elevator once more. Once inside, he broke out into a smile as tears fell down his face.

"She won't leave me. No, she won't."
