Summary
When Jason Robinson gets a mysterious letter for an exclusive school, he jumps at the chance. He's always wanted to be special, but a wizard? Who would say no
But when he gets there, the administration is abhorrent! Evil runs rampant through the once glorious halls of Hogwarts.
But a legend is whispered among many of the older students. About a boy who was a hero, who defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named more times than anyone ever has- before he could walk! One who defeated dragons, basilisks, mermen, and giant spiders. Who broke records and rules alike. Someone who could talk to snakes (although, while that wasn't really thought of as a good thing in the wizarding world, Jason still thought it was pretty cool). And was rumored to one day return to these very halls, and kill the Dark Lord once and for all.
Rumors of Harry Potter.
Prologue
Date: October 31, 1981
Time: 10:37pm BST
Location: Unknown
It was late October. The cool air blew gently through the trees and up to a small cottage, sitting alone in the countryside, occupied by one woman, who was as alone as the structure she lived in. That woman was Miss Cole.
Miss Cole was a stern looking woman who looked much younger than she was. She did not take kindly to visitors, and never went into town. Those that knew of her called her a witch, and, for the most part, they were correct.
Miss Cole stepped out into her front garden. She was planning to pick her carrots today. They had been growing beautifully over the summer. But when she exited her small home, she happened to glance at the gate. Sitting atop it was a raven staring right back at her. But he was not a normal raven. For one thing, he was much larger than a normal raven. At least twice the size. And his eyes were full of intelligence and age and even a bit of arrogance, as if he was aware that he knew more than you did.
"Get off my property, you devil!" she said. "Go! Bother someone else for a while! I don't have time for family anymore!"
The raven cawed at her, but did not leave.
"I said go!" cried Miss Cole. She looked around, as if afraid that someone else might pop out of the hills, then said in a lower voice. "If your brother knew you were hereā¦"
The bird held out one leg. Tied to it was a piece of parchment. Miss Cole grabbed it quickly, and unrolled the message. The bird quickly took to the skies, but almost immediately dove into a nearby cave, and disappeared.
The message was haphazardly scrawled on an old piece of parchment, and with some difficulty, Miss Cole read the message.
Dear Sister,
As we are sure you know, Voldemort has been defeated by a toddler. Unfortunately, defeated and killed are not always the same thing. He has taken refuge in seven different places throughout your world. His soul is in tatters, but his string has yet to be cut.
However, there is still hope. Dumbledore has many plans. He will help young Harry Potter through the trials he must face. The boy's path is dark indeed.
Your Loving Sisters,
C, L, and A
Miss Cole sighed and rolled the parchment up again, and it disappeared. She walked hurriedly back into the house, and immediately wrote a reply.
Dear Sisters,
I have received your letter and, although the method of your delivery was rather unorthodox, I am pleased to find that you have not forgotten me (although 'Loving Sisters' might be a bit much).
I have already begun putting things in place. Black will be captured within hours. I know he can survive the prison. His abilities far surpass those of the guards, and that is where he will be safest. My own contribution to the plan will be made soon. If this doesn't work, all worlds, not just mine, will be in danger.
Sincerely,
H
She walked back out and an owl flew down, gripped the letter in its beak, and soared of into the deep blue sky. The message would be difficult to deliver, but at least it wasn't too far away.
They were never too far away.
When the majestic bird had flown out of sight, Miss Cole went back inside. She had some tea on the fire, and it would not do to have it turned to steam before she had a single cup.
Uh... hey Interneters. This is my first ever story on this thing. I've wanted to write something on here for a while, but never actually finished anything. This is probably the worst idea for me right now, because I have way to much to do, and I have never been good with any kind of schedule.
But here we are I guess.
So this is the prologue for the first in what I hope will be a series of stories. I have very large plans, so we'll see if they work out.
Thanks for reading! Gimme reviews so that I can improve what I suck at.
Oh yeah, and I don't own Harry Potter, or anything related to him. Neither do I own Miss Cole, but we'll get to her later. :)
