the next day there was a trial and richard was acquitted and mendax was guilty
the one who secured this acquittal was a man named storm sente
john phoenix decided storm deserved to meet him
he went to the sente law firm and met storm sente and his friend richard kingsley and storms mentor charlie lawrence
"yep it sure was sad when my friends and fellow students died at femcon" said storm
"wahaha im so sorry bout that" said lawrence
lawrence put down his coffee mug and john phoenix stared at it, he could make out lawrence's grubby fingerprints on the handle and he was sure hed seen them somewhere before...
then he remembered
john phoenix went to the remains of the femley school of law and found a piece of the bomb, it had the same fingerprint on it!
just then lawrence appeared and tried to murder john phoenix for being a lawyer but john phoenix kicked him in the face and revealed his guilt
