My Bold Fox

An alternate ending to where Bold doesn't die, but is instead saved by a blue vixen; after pulling through and surviving, thanks to his new friend Fallon, Bold is soon ready to return to White Deer Park. He expects to go back to Whisper and his newborn cub Plucky, but instead something doesn't feel right anymore and he can't help thinking of her. [Bold x OC]

First chapter will be on the 'next page', so if you're not a big fan of author's notes then feel free to skip but I have added some useful pointers about this fic below to give a taste of what it might involve, how long it will be, if I plan to write more etc.

Title may or may not be a work in progress, I always struggle with titles and usually think of good ones months after publishing.

I realise this fandom isn't big on here, nor does it have many fanfictions or readers but I have recently got into another Animals of Farthing Wood obsession. If I can't read much about it, I've decided to write about it instead. Now, I don't think it will be a long one at all since I do work and eventually become hyper fixated on something else, but maybe if I keep it short and sweet I can always come back with sequels one day. My plan is to write all the chapters and upload them at once in the hopes that I don't leave an unfinished story!

Anyway, before I start, here's a few things I would like to 'pre-warn' about this fanfiction, just in case you're not a fan of some of the ideas:

Bold's alive. I'm sorry, I know it's overdone but I personally HATE his death and I've read theories that he faked it and I've decided to believe them.

I blame quite a few characters for Bold's death and what happened to him, including himself, but in this fic it might sound like I blame Whisper a lot - I'm not trying to do that, she's not my favourite fox but that won't be the overall intention and I hope by the end that will be portrayed.

Having said that, this will end on a Bold x OC pairing. Now, I hope in the way that I write this it will make sense as I'm more than likely going to make it reflect a human relationship (in the way if you broke up with your partner, you'd eventually have a new one) - now, I know this is about foxes and not humans but I think my idea will make sense. If you're a Bold x Whisper fan, this may not be for you HOWEVER they will end on good terms either way and I'll definitely be including scenes of them.

The OC I've introduced for this is Ranger's sister (the one we see in the series!) and I've named her Fallon.

I'm mainly focusing this as a fic based off the tv series, but might include some book ideas or references. Bold and Whisper's cub will remain Plucky for this fic, as opposed to being their grandson which he is in the books. I'm thinking of a way to include Husky (and eventually, Rusty and Pace)

Again, is Bold being alive overdone? Yes, but I'm hoping to try and do it in a slightly different way to others fics that I've read.

Not sure how the timelines are working yet but it's set roughly at the end of season two and will probably get to Plucky being a young cub but not the age he is in S3.

This is quite a fast paced story and will feel that way - this is partially because I don't have the time I used to have to write 30 chapter fanfics and, honestly, I never finished a lot of them! By making it fast paced I could at least make it complete.

Additionally, if I do a sequel, it will be S3 based and will therefore have more of a story and chapters.
