Black - Day 2- sessxkag week 2021
Dark. Empty. Quiet. Still.
That was what surrounded her.
Nothingness.
"Hello? Is anybody here?" Kagome called out.
'Where am I? As I completed the jewel, this bright light enveloped me and I awoke in darkness. Am I inside of it?' she thought to herself.
Opening her hand, the jewel began to glow giving off a little bit of light but everything else was black around her.
"What do I do?" As her tears began to fall.
"Higurashi Kagome." A feminine voice echoed "you are inside of the shikon jewel, young miko".
"Who are you?" Kagome asked, feeling a bit relieved at not being alone but nervous of not knowing what will happen next.
"I am the keeper of the shikon jewel. The jewel is complete once more. What is your one wish?" The voice spoke up.
"I don't know if the wish I make would be the right one. What will happen if it isn't?" Kagome asked nervously.
"You will be stuck here for eternity reliving your despair, pain and sadness. The malice you once buried away will rise to the surface. All of your hopes and dreams will disappear. The life you once had will be mourned." The voice echoed. "Misfortune will consume you."
"No, I will not allow the blackness and these misfortunes to consume me! I will be free of this place!" Kagome shouted.
"Then make your wish and see where your destiny takes you, Higurashi Kagome." As the voice fades out.
'I only have one wish. I cannot lose myself in this darkness. He is waiting for me.'
Kagome held on to the jewel and closed her eyes "I wish for this jewel to disappear forever!"
A blinding light bursted out from the jewel that she held causing Kagome to open her hand. It rose up in the air and grew larger until it busted into dust, disappeared into the black surroundings.
Once more it became dark and deathly quiet.
Dropping on her knees, Kagome began to cry once more.
A door opened causing light to fill up the darkness.
Squinting her eyes, a tall, slender silhouette stood at the entrance.
Slowly it walked over with its piercing golden eyes looking at her and crouched down with its clawed hand extended. She extended her hand to reach out.
"I will free you from this darkness, my little bird." The gentle deep voice spoke reassuringly.
Kagome bolted up from the bed as she panted heavily covered in sweat.
'It was a nightmare. Just a nightmare.' As her breathing calmed down 'I'm no longer stuck in that black darkness.'
Touching her necklace, she felt the incomplete jewel.
Silently she whimpered "it's not a dream. I still have to complete this jewel. Only then these nightmares will stop."
"My little bird, it was a bad dream. It wasn't real. I will not let it consume you." the same deep gentle reassuring voice spoke next to her.
"Sesshomaru…I was so scared!" As she threw herself into his arms for comfort and reassurance that he was really there "I want this to be over."
"Soon my little bird, we will defeat this darkness together." As the demon lord held her protectively in his arms.
