Author's Note:
Hello Friends, welcome to my fanmade direct sequel to Teen Titans (2003) series, a show that I loved so much, and is my favorite DC show of all time. I was originally gonna make a Season 6 & Two Movies for the series, but something comes into my mind that said "What If Teen Titans (2003) gets a Direct Sequel with Glen Murakami returning to work on the series".
After playing with the idea of the direct sequel, I officially decided to turn my S6/Movies into a direct sequel with the same treatment as Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, The New Batman Adventures and The Legend of Korra (which was also well-received by both critics and fans). I also decided to add my S6/Movies Ideas into this direct sequel as well as learning something from OG TT show's tie-in comics (yeah, I will be adapting its three issues into episodes, similar to that of Mad Love from the New Batman Adventures).
We all know that Teen Titans was indeed cancelled after five seasons and one movie, and its cancellation has a left a lot of plotholes and unanswered questions such as the true identity of Red X, Slade's current whereabouts, who activated the mask that spread the toxin in Robin's mind (which happens in the episode "Haunted"), and how Terra was brought back to life after her apparent demise in the second season finale and that we all know that the episode "Things Change" wasn't well-received by fans for ending the episode on a bad note, and is not considered as a finale.
Also, Starfire didn't get her own Season arc which is really upsetting because Starfire is my favorite character as she deserves a story arc, regarding her conflict and with Blackfire and a sixth/final season was supposed to happen in reality, but was cancelled, due to low ratings.
We all know that the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon was targeted at a younger audience, but the show has a explored a lot of mature themes that feels like a teen-targeted series, so I decided my TT03 direct sequel will be targeted at a teen audience from age 12-16, similar to that of Generator Rex, but the sequel will stay faithful to the original series with the same humor, action, drama, and anime inspiration that the original series had.
Plus, this is how an ideal revival should have happened in the first place, instead of getting that pathetic chibi-like reboot (Thanks a lot, Cartoon Network 😠).
Anyways, I hope you all like my ideas for the direct sequel of Teen Titans (2003).
