Will You Marry Me?
A slightly different take on the conversation that Ryan has with Castle when he shows him the ring he bought for Jenny.

Richard Castle comes walking up a street, weaving in and out of several officers and emergency personnel. He pats one of the policemen on the shoulder.
"Hey, how's it going?"
He moves past the crowd when Detective Kevin Ryan comes up beside him.
"Hey Castle, how's it going?" There seems to be a certain bounce to the young detective's step. He's got a big smile on his face.
Castle nods at the man. "Good. What's up?" The pair keep walking toward the crime scene that they'd both been called to.
Suddenly Ryan pulls a small velvet covered box out of his pocket. He's grinning as he pops open the box and shows Castle the sparkling diamond ring inside.
Rick fakes a look of shock. "Ryan, I don't know what to say. I'm flattered."
Ryan gives Rick a shoulder bump. "Oh come on, it's nice, right, right?"
Castle gives the nervous young man a big smile. "Jenny's a very lucky girl."
He puts his arm around Kevin.
"So how are you going to pop the question? Hot air balloon? Sky writing, Jumbo Tron?"
The two men keep walking down the street. Ryan looks up at him and just shrugs his shoulder.
"I - I thought I'd just ask?'
Castle stops and turns and looks at the young man in horror.
"You can't just ask. You've got to make a statement. It's got to be big. A helicopter ride?"
Unseen behind the pair, Kate Beckett strides up to them. "Actually, most girls like something intimate."
Castle frowns as he turns toward Beckett.
"So we're just supposed to be boring and ask, will you marry me?"
Time seems to stand still as the two partners stare at each other for several heart beats. Kate has a slight smirk on her face, which slowly morphs into a grin.
"Oh what the hell. Yes, yes I will marry you." Kate steps up to Castle and gives him a sweet kiss on the lips. As she steps back she closes the lid on the ring box.
"But I'm going to want my own ring." She pats Castle on the cheek and then continues down the street toward the crime scene.
Castle, his mouth hanging open just stares as Beckett walks away. After a few paces Kate stops, turns, and with her brow raised looks at Rick.
"Castle! You coming?

AN: Recently, while wasting time trolling through You Tube videos I ran across the clip where Ryan shows Castle his ring and they discuss how he should propose to Jenny. Given the look on Beckett's face when Castle turns to her with the ring in his hand my thoughts turned to what you've just read.
I hope I was able to bring a smile to the many Caskett shippers out there.
