The First Meeting
It was a typical sunny Saturday morning in Middleton, home of the world-renowned heroine for hire named Kim Possible. She and her best friend since preschool named Ron Stoppable were taking something called an "Animology Test" which was cross between astrology and personality quiz. The redhead scoffed it off at first before deciding on taking it herself. She discovered that she is a Blue Fox and her supposed soulmate was an individual who was a "Yellow Trout".
Unfortunately, much to Kim's dismay, the Yellow Trout turns out to be one of her enemies named Señor Senior Junior, the son of Señor Senior Senior. Despite that the young man showed much interest in her due to the results of the test, they didn't click in any way and the attempts were mostly one-sided from him. When Kim went to school one morning, she had quite a surprise waiting for her in her locker
Flashback:
At Middleton High, Kim was inputting her combination. Once she opened her locker, flowers spilled out from the inside, onto the floor.
Kim activates her computer to contact her friend
"Wade?"
The screen activates as she sees her friend
"Morning Kim. Did you get the flowers?" Wade asks.
"Uh...yeah." Kim replies awkwardly
"There's an e-card." Wade adds as he pressed a key. "I'll stream it."
The screen then presents Señor Senior Junior as he recites
"My Blue Fox. I count the hours until my father's criminal activities bring us near again."
After Junior blows a kiss, the screen fades back to Wade
"That was so beautiful!" Wade says in a teasing way.
Wade laughs before the screen blacks out as Kim closed her locker door.
End of Flasback
During an outing with her father, James who still treats her as a child, at the Middleton Space Center, an incident occurred which involved another one of her foes named Monkey Fist who supposedly sought to become an all-powerful master. With the help of Ron and the Space Center's mascot, a monkey named Frederick, they defeated Monkey Fist.
Despite that Kim gently broke it to James that she was growing up, it didn't stop him from establishing a set of rules as the redhead remembered
Flashback:
After the space craft lands on the runway, Kim and Ron step out before the redhead is greeted by a crowd of children who cheer for her as James said at a distance
"Okay, I admit it; she's grown up."
"Not completely dad." Kim said as she hugged her father.
James had a proud smile at first before he obtained a stern look and said
"True. Which means we've got some new rules to cover!"
Kim gasped as James added
"Rule number one: no boys. Ever!"
Kim rolled her eyes as she walked with her father while he said
"Number two! Driving? Forget it!"
Flashback Ends:
Despite all that had happened, Kim still manages her life at school and her missions. Last week, she stopped a criminal who was also an employee of Smarty Mart from carrying out his ridiculous plot of obtaining money in return to keep the internet active. Regardless, Kim was able to stop him, despite that the criminal was nothing more than a nuisance.
At a house, there was a "For Sale" sign on the front lawn with another sign that said "Sold" over it. However, inside the particular residence, someone was awakening. In a room that had a stack of empty moving boxes neatly placed in a corner, a teenaged boy was emerging from underneath the covers of his bed. He had jet black hair styled quite nicely, blue sapphire eyes, and a build that was like a swimmer's body, but more muscular. He wore a black shirt with the sleeves cut off and a pair of blue basketball shorts. Also, to every teen girl who gazed upon him, he had rugged good looks, but never flaunted them.
After a yawn and a stretch, the boy leaves his room to make himself some breakfast in the kitchen. However, he heard commotion coming from the basement. Changing course, he enters to see a man who had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a white shirt, khaki pants, and brown shoes, assembling the lower room into a lab of sorts. The man noticed when he turned around to unpack a different box.
"Hey dad. Need any help?" the boy asked.
"No Cale. I got this, but thanks for the offer." the man replies.
Suddenly, both the man and Cale hear a woman's voice calling
"Sam, when you're finished, I need your help with the living room!"
"All right Katherine! I'm almost finished." Sam calls out.
It was then that Cale asks once more
"You sure you don't need my help?"
"No son. I got this." Sam replies.
Then, Cale leaves the basement to enter the kitchen. There, he sees a woman who had black hair, blue eyes that were a lighter shade than Cale's, wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, and light gray and white shoes, sorting a cupboard with items as she noticed him entering.
"Good morning Cale." Katherine greets.
"Morning mom." Cale replies as he gets out a breakfast sandwich from the freezer
"I'm surprised that you're still able to get up, despite that you stayed up late to organize your room." Katherine comments.
"Yeah. Especially since Middleton will be my new home now. Might as well get to know the area." Cale replies.
As the teen poured a glass of milk, a boy who was no older than eleven walked in. He had black hair, brown eyes, and wore a white shirt and shorts. The younger boy was rubbing one eye before he looked at Cale and said
"You're done with your room already? How is it that you beat me every time when I plan to do the same thing you're going to do?""
"Simple little bro; I always plan ahead." Cale replies with a smug smile.
"Mikey!" Katherine gently scolds. "Now do you see what happens when you procrastinate?"
Mikey just crossed his arms with a pout which caused Katherine to shake her head lightheartedly as Cale sat down to eat breakfast.
"So, when you go out, what time will you be home?" Katherine asks in curiosity.
"Don't know." Cale replies after drinking some milk. "Probably before sundown."
"Good because you start school on Monday." Katherine reminds her elder son.
As the woman turned around to walk away, she remembers one little detail as Katherine turns around and says
"One more thing Cale; if anything happens, you know what to do."
Cale was quiet for a split second before he says
"I know."
Moments later, after washing up and discarding the empty boxes from his room, Cale proceeds to change his clothes into a wardrobe of a black t-shirt, navy blue jeans, along with black and dark gray shoes. Once fully dressed, the boy grabs several items which were his smart phone, wireless speakers, sunglasses, and slipped on a ring that was 24K gold and black onto his right ring finger, he grabs his black rollerblades and backpack before leaving the house.
Replacing his shoes with his rollerblades, Cale thinks to himself
"Wonder what this city has to offer, now that I'll be living here?"
Using an app to help him navigate, Cale proceeds to skate out of the neighborhood as he continued to think to himself.
"One thing for sure though, Middleton will be quite different from my old hometown."
On the app, Cale locates a park that is several miles away from his current location. After mapping the route to take, he puts his smart phone on sleep mode before placing it in his pocket.
"Still, I got a lot of time to put in some practice before I do a little exploration."
With that thought, Cale proceeds to skate to the park that he found. However, the boy did not realize that fate has already found him and now has placed him on the path of a life-changing journey.
"I can't believe this! Don't they take weekends off at all?!"
Kim was fuming as she was walking down the streets. Earlier, she received word from Wade that Drakken and Shego broke into a lab and stole the Ceturion Project again. Thankfully, she managed to fend both of them off and secure it. The good news was that the bracelet was safe inside her purse, unlike last time when it bonded to her wrist, the bad news was that she has to wait until Monday to return it to the scientists.
Right now, the redhead was about to pass by the park, but she did not know that someone was there alone.
In the grass area, Cale connects his wireless speakers to his smart phone as he increased the volume to maximum. Placing it down, he selects a rock song to play. It begins to start up as he got on one knee, lowers his head, and closed his eyes while forming a ninja-like hand sign with his right hand. However, he didn't know that he was about to have an audience as the song began
How can you see into my eyes, like open doors
Kim hears the sound of a piano playing and lyrics when she got near the park. Curiously, she starts following the sound to the source. Once it was located, she sees someone on one knee before the individual slowly stood up

Where I've become so numb
Suddenly, Kim sees a teen boy practice martial arts movements that she has never seen before as if he was in combat with an unseen opponent. In the redhead's perspective, this raven-haired boy's haircut suited him quite nicely. He had blue sapphire eyes that looked like he had unwavering focus. Also, to her, this boy looked quite handsome as she continued watching with a blush.
Without a soul
My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home
Once the music intensified, Kim sees the boy step up his movements as he used a combination of offensive and defensive movements like he was battling a legion of opponents instead of just one.
(Wake me up) Wake me up inside
(I can't wake up) Wake me up inside
(Save me) Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up) Bid my blood to run
(I can't wake up) Before I come undone
(Save me) Save me from the nothing I've become
Kim looked like she was hypnotized as the boy was flawlessly practicing while the music continued. However, when he turned around quickly to block an attack, he finally sees that he wasn't alone. In the boy's point of view, the girl was redhead. She had green eyes, ruddy skin, wore a green top that revealed her midriff, blue jeans, and white shoes. At first, she looked like her mind has gone blank, but once the music was turned off, she snapped out of her trance.
"How did you like the show?" he asks with a small smile.
Kim blushed as she said in response
"Sorry. I...didn't mean to disturb you."
"It's okay." he replies. "I get that I'm a stranger here."
Kim was surprised when she heard say that.
"You're new here?"
"Yes. Just moved here recently." he says.
Kim was silent at first before she heard the boy say to her as he approached while holding out his hand
"I'm Cale Skywalker."
"I'm...Kim Possible." Kim said shyly while she shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you Kim." Cale replies.
"So, Cale..." Kim began with a blush. "What brings you here?"
"Well, I was practicing for a little bit before doing some exploring around town."
Kim glanced away shyly before she says
"If you want, I can show you where Middleton Mall is."
Cale considers her offer as he picked up his devices and slung his backpack on.
"Sure, if don't mind me accompanying you."
To Kim, his smile seemed to make her get weak in the knees, despite managing to stand up straight. Also, she felt her heartbeat slightly accelerating.
In Cale's point of view, the mall in Middleton had some...interesting stores that he has never seen before. To name a few, there was Club Banana, Earring World, Steve's Hats, Victoria's Circuits, among other ones inside.
In the food court, the two teens were sitting at a table for lunch. Kim was having a salad while Cale had a tuna subsandwich.
"So Cale, tell me about yourself." Kim says.
"Well, for starters, I'm fourteen." Cale began. "My family and I recently moved here from Los Angeles."
"Really?" Kim asked, completely intrigued.
"Yeah. My mom is in the SWAT team who recently got promoted to commander." Cale replies. "As for my dad, he got promoted to Distinguished Engineer and recently got hired at the Cybernetics Corporation that recently opened in Middleton."
Kim was surprised at Cale's explanation as she heard him say
"With my parents being promoted in their respective jobs, that's how I ended up here."
After Kim swallowed some of her salad, she proceeds to ask
"Do you have any siblings?"
"Just one. A younger brother." Cale replies before he adds. "Well, half brother."
"Half brother?" Kim asks in curiosity.
"I never knew who my biological father was." Cale says. "He perished in an accident a week after I was born."
Kim felt bad when she put two and two together as she said
"I'm so sorry."
"It's okay Kim." Cale replies. "Regardless of that, he's still my brother. Even though he would try to pull pranks on me at times."
Kim chuckled at that quip. Soon, Cale asked
"What about you?"
"Oh, I'm fourteen as well." Kim says. "I was born and raised here in Middleton. My dad's a rocket scientist while my mom is a brain surgeon. I have two brothers, the Tweebs; they're troublemakers with a capital T."
"You know, I got a bad feeling about our brothers befriending one another." Cale joked.
Kim laughed at that for a few seconds before she calmed down.
"If you don't mind me asking, what do you like doing for fun?" she asks.
"When I'm not occupied with anything, I like spending time with my friends Hanzo and Ashley, go bowling, listen to music, or just stay home and draw sometimes." Cale replied
The boy's answer led Kim to realize that he was a mature version of Ron. However, she remembers one detail before asking
"By the way, what martial arts were you practicing at the park?"
"Oh. That was ninjutsu." Cale said matter-of-factly
"Ninjutsu? As in...you're a ninja?" Kim asks, completely intrigued
"You can call it that." Cale says. "My mom had me start my training since I was 5 years old. Yamato Fujin was my master so you can say that he taught me well."
Kim smiled as she said
"Spankin. I think I found the perfect sparring partner."
Cale chuckled at Kim's quip before he asks.
"So what about you? What do you like doing for fun?"
"When I'm not occupied with my odd jobs, like babysitting among my...other ones, I like going to Bueno Nacho with my friends." Kim replies. "I also like listening to music, shop at Club Banana, which happens to be my favorite store by the way, and sometimes I like chilling at home too."
While Cale listened without interrupting, his attention was caught when Kim mentioned a particular name as he asked
"There's a Bueno Nacho here?"
"Yes." Kim replies. "Why do you ask?"
"Last week before I moved here, a Bueno Nacho opened in Los Angeles." Cale explains. "However, Hanzo told me to stay away from that place without explaining why."
"Maybe he hasn't tried it." Kim suggests.
"Could be." Cale says in agreement.
Eventually, the teens were finished with lunch as they disposed their trash and placed the trays on the shelf before walking out of the food court. As they continued getting to know each other, Kim felt something; she felt like there was a strange connection that was attracting her to Cale. Unlike with her crush, Josh Mankey, the redhead was able to hold a conversation with this new guy, this raven-haired boy despite his rugged good looks.
She didn't know what it was, but made a mental note to ask her mother for advice.
They approached the escalator as Kim asked
"So Cale, what school will you be going to?"
Before the boy could answer, an explosion occurred from the ceiling of the mall. The sound and falling debris was more than enough to send every civilian in a frenzied panic as they fled for their lives. Through the hole of the ceiling, a hovercraft started to descend as the dust began to settle. Kim knew who it was as she groaned.
However, in Cale's point of view, there were two individuals in the vehicle that he had never seen before. One was a man who had a tiny mullet of black hair tied in a small mouse tail with light blue skin and wore a lab coat that was a darker shade of blue with black gloves. The other was a woman who had green eyes, a big mane of black hair, a greenish tint in her skin, and wore a black and green catsuit.
Cale sees the two individuals looking around as the man shouts
"Kim Possible! Surrender the Centurion Project or else!"
Kim tightens her grip on her purse as she said in defiance
"Not a chance, Drakken!"
"Uh...Kim...?"
Kim remembers who was present as she let out a slight gasp before she sees Cale's confused look as he asked
"What's going on?"
The redhead was reluctant at first, hoping to keep her secret away from Cale. However, her enemies had other ideas as she sheepishly answered
"Remember the...other jobs I mentioned?"
Cale nods.
"Well, this is one of them." Kim gestures to the villains. "Taking down bad guys."
Suddenly, Shego jumps from the hovercraft. Upon landing, she activates her powers as her hands begin to emit a green glow.
"All right, Kimmy! Fork it over!"
Kim gets in Cale's way as she said
"Cale! Get to safety! I can handle these two!"
The boy hesitates at first, not wanting to leave Kim behind. Eventually, Cale nods before he runs off while glaring at Drakken. Then, Kim and Shego started fighting each other.
"Aww, did we scare away your boyfriend?" Shego taunts
"Actually, we just met." Kim counters as she blocked a punch. "So calling Cale my boyfriend is so premature."
While the two combatants were fighting, no one realized that someone was still nearby.
At a safe distance, Cale looks back to see Kim continuing her fight against Shego. The boy glanced at his hands before he concentrates. His right hands emits a fireball on the palm while his left hand forms a pendulum crystal composed of ice on the other palm. After clenching his fists to negate them, Cale looks back as he thinks to himself.
I don't want to leave Kim alone, yet she's trying to protect me.
Cale suddenly gets a guilty look as he thought
Also, I haven't told her my secret of what I have.
The raven-haired boy then gets a determined before he starts to run back as he thought
I don't know what they're after or why, but I'm not going to let them hurt her!
Back with Kim, she was able to knock down Shego. However, she barely dodges a blast that hits the ground near her. Looking up, Kim sees Drakken holding a blaster that resembled a sniper rifle.
"You should've stuck to babysitting!" Drakken said.
The scientist aims his blaster as he said
"Any last words, Kim Possible?"
All the while, as Shego stood up, nobody noticed that Cale was approaching fast. Using speed and stealth, the boy jumps from a table, leaps off of a pillar before landing onto the vehicle, in front of Drakken's line of sight. When the man looks up startled, Cale delivers a roundhouse kick to knock the blaster out of the good doctor's hands before he could have time to react.
"Hey!" Drakken exclaims as he rubs his hand to soothe the slight pain.
"Sorry to crash your party, but I thought I should even the odds." Cale said.
Kim gasped when she witnessed what Cale recently did before seeing him backflip off the hovercraft. Upon landing, he turns around to face Shego and immediately gets in fighting stance.
"Oh, you want a piece of me?" Shego says with a grin as she readies her powers.
Worried about his safety, Kim calls as she reaches out
"Cale! No!"
Instead of listening, the boy charges at Shego who fires several energy blasts. However, Cale effortlessly dodges each one. Once he was in range, the boy jumps, delivering four kicks to Shego's stomach before sending a fifth kick to the face. Cale readies for more as Shego jumps to her feet before she tries to throw a punch, but he blocks it and elbows her across the face. After blocking and dodging several punches and kicks from Shego, the boy delivers a right hook after seeing an opening, and then knocks her out with a roundhouse kick to the head.
Drakken's jaw dropped at the sight of this strange boy has never seen before knock down Shego. However, the good doctor didn't realize that Cale kicks up a piece of rubble to catch it in his hand and throws it with deadly accuracy at the hovercraft's thrusters, destroying one of them. The explosion was enough to snap him out of his trance as the vehicle goes haywire.
Drakken jumps out of the hovercraft and onto a ledge of the third floor of the mall while the vehicle crashed into a pillar, reducing it to scrap. When Cale looks to see a piece of rubble falling to where Kim was standing, he quickly reaches her, holds her bridal style, and jumps out of the dropzone in one fluid motion.
"Thanks." Kim says after being let down.
"You're welcome." Cale replies.
Then, both teens hear Drakken's voice as they look to see him still hanging onto the ledge of the third floor while shaking his fist as he shouts
"YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE ALL THAT! BUT YOU'RE NOT!"
Moments later, the police were taking away Drakken and Shego to prison. Kim returns to a waiting Cale who was absolutely silent. She felt awkward about him meeting her archenemies the way it happened.
"Look, Cale..." Kim was at a loss for words. "I'm sorry. I guess I should've told you that...I'm..."
"A freelance hero?" Cale asks.
"Yes." Kim replies nervously. "And I'm sorry for what happened."
Cale was silent at that. However, Kim took it as a bad sign as she lowered her head, not even seeing his smile as she thought
Why me?! Great! Now he's going to ditch me! I meet a cute guy and this has to happen!
However, the redhead thought wrong as she heard Cale ask
"Why are you apologizing on their behalf?"
Kim looks up to see that Cale wasn't upset at all. In fact, he was smiling with compassion.
"You...you're not upset with what happened?" she asks hopefully.
"Last I checked, you don't see eye to eye with those clowns, especially since they commit crimes for kicks." Cale replies.
Kim was surprised when he said that as she thought to herself
Whoa! He...he isn't upset with what happened just now.
The redhead glanced away shyly before asks
"What do you say we get some ice cream? I know a place that I can show you."
Cale smiles at Kim's offer.
"I'd say I'm buying."
The two were enjoying their cones as they were walking through the streets.
"So let me get this straight," Cale began. "You created a website that was intended to be a babysitting service?"
"Yeah." Kim replied with pride. "Kim Possible dot com with the slogan 'She can do anything'."
However, Kim glanced at Cale in a certain way, seeing the way he handled Drakken and Shego with ease.
"You know, I've never met anyone who can take a supervillain attack with grace."
"Having a cop for a parent can do that to you." he says. "Especially when your parent has you take self-defense training at a young age."
Cale's response made Kim realize that he was someone she can get along with easily. As they finished their ice cream cones, Kim remembers something that remained undone.
"By the way, before Drakken and Shego showed up, you didn't tell me what school you will be going to." she says.
"Oh." Cale said. "I'll be going to Middleton High as of Monday. So I guess you'll be seeing me more often."
Kim was stunned. With Cale attending the same high school as she is, the redhead thought it would open every opportunity for her to get to know him more, little by little.
Suddenly, Kim's Kimmunicator went off as both teens stopped while Kim picked up her device from her pocket.
"What's the sitch, Wade?"
"Kim! Got a hit on your site!" her friend Wade said. "Someone is breaking into a lab in Upperton and targeting an experimental reactor. Better get there, pronto!"
Kim cuts the transmission as she looked at Cale, sad that she has to leave so soon.
"Sorry Cale, but I got to go."
"It's okay, I get it." Cale said compassionately. "You got a job to do."
Kim smiled at him for being understanding the importance of her job. The redhead blushed slightly once more.
"Is there...any way we can communicate with one another?"
"May I see your device?" Cale asks while holding out his hand.
Kim obliged as she handed her Kimmunicator to Cale. As the helicopter started to approach, the boy was tapping it a few times before setting it to sleep mode and returned it to Kim. Once the aircraft was above them, a ladder was quickly lowered while both teens glanced upward before facing each other.
"I guess that's my ride." Kim says. "I hope to see you at school on Monday."
"Looking forward to it." Cale replies. "Be careful out there."
Kim turns around to start climbing the ladder. However, she quickly turns back and kissed Cale on the cheek, catching the boy by surprise. A split second later, Kim climbs up the ladder as Cale watched. Through a window of the vehicle, Kim takes one last look at Cale who waved at her as she waved back despite the aircraft departing to the intended destination.
Kim sat in the seat as she looked at her Kimmunicator. Checking her device, she sees Cale's name, number, and email address on there. Smiling, the redhead leans back as she fondly thought back on the recent events, especially a certain raven-haired boy who assisted her.
Cale...what a guy.
Meanwhile, back on the ground, Cale watched the chopper flying from Middleton until it was no longer in sight.
Looks like things are going to be interesting in Middleton.
Cale looks at his smartphone to map a route to take as he walked in a different direction. He too had a smile on him.
Kim Possible. You're really someone interesting.
As the boy walked on, there was one thought that crossed his mind which caused him to subtly gain a confused look
Still, I can't help but wonder why that blue guy seemed so...familiar...
Are you serious KP?
It was hours after Kim returned home from her mission. Currently, despite that it was now night time, the redhead was using her Kimmunicator to talk to Ron.
"So not kidding!" Kim says. "I meet this new guy and when Drakken and Shego showed up, I tried protecting him; but instead, he came back to protect me."
"Man, wish I would've been there to see the action." Ron replies through the Kimmunicator.
Then, Ron pondered as he said.
"Although, I wonder if the new guy likes Bueno Nacho?"
"Mmm! Yummy!" Rufus squeaked as he rubbed his belly.
"That's a distinct possibility." Kim replies.
The two continued to talk until Ron bids a farewell to Kim. Soon, she goes to the kitchen and finds her mother there.
"Mom?"
"Yes Kimmy?" Ann answers.
"Can I ask you something?" Kim asks. "What was it like when you and Dad first met?"
Ann smiled at that question, like fond memories began to resurface.
"Well," she began. "when your father and I first met, we started dating and...in the end, I guess we just...clicked."
"Clicked? Like how?"
"You know that old feeling of your heart beating fast, butterflies crawling in the stomach..." Ann replies. "Also, it's like you become genuinely attracted to that person."
Kim thought back to those feelings when she first spent time with Cale at the mall.
"Did something happen that I should know about?" Ann asks.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Kim says as she sheepishly glanced away.
"Try me."
Then, Kim proceeds to tell Ann on the recent events that occurred today, from meeting Cale, Drakken and Shego showing up at the mall, all the way up to him protecting her while defeating her foes. Her tale caused her mother to be subtly surprised.
"Sounds like he's quite a keeper." Ann comments.
"You have no idea mom." Kim says. "I mean, I tried to protect him, but instead he risks his life to protect me. He's also understanding about the importance of my job."
"Does he give you any of those feelings that I've mentioned?" Ann asks.
"To be honest, yes." Kim replies with a fond smile.
"Then, I say it's worth a shot to get to know him." Ann suggests.
"I'm just nervous about Dad finding out." Kim admits.
"Don't worry. I'll help you when you're ready to tell him."
"Thanks mom."
"You're welcome, Kimmy."
Two days have passed and it was now morning on Monday. Students were entering the grounds of Middleton High to prepare for yet another school day. However, no one was aware that they were going to have a new addition attending there.
Approximately three hundred feet away, Cale was approaching the campus before he paused for a minute to stare at the building of the school that he will be going to until the day of graduation. Taking a deep breath, the boy says to himself.
"Well...here goes nothing."
He resumes walking to the school grounds to obtain the necessities required for his assigned classes from the principal's office. Cale swallowed down his nervousness and walked through the doors of the high school, knowing that his journey was about to begin.
Looks like things are starting off interestingly. How well will Cale adapt to Middleton High? Will Ron's question be answered? Find out in the next chapter.
