Hello,its me, if you are reading this fanfic,it is something i wanted this the hidden world came out, I really give credit here to Daredreamer, His Dragons:Descendants inspired me and its a amazing Fanfic, i recommend you read it,this also has some inspiration from the Last Kids on earth for the apocalypse stuff But anyway, a Modern HTTYD Fanfic is hard, for many reasons, so i will pour my time into this, if you wonder what will happen to my others, well, they are all on hiatus for now, but when this is done, i will make the next story but may continue it, i honestly dont know, but anyway, Here goes

Summary:The Dragons left New Berk and Stayed there, as the Centuries pass, Humans advance and forget about them,But in the Year 2023, Something happened, the Dragons returned, Human Civilization almost collapsed, with few pockets left, Hayden Haddock is the Descent of Astrid and Hiccup, and His Life gets turned upside down, But in the Apocalypse, the World is better with a Young Night fury and Some Friends you meet by your side.
HAYDEN POV
Hayden Haddock was a Young Boy of about 12, who Lived In The City of Houston Texas, He was on Vacation to Norway when it happened.
"Mom, Can i please watch TV" Hayden asked, The cruise Ship Was almost Had just left Galveston, the city was still a faint line on the horizon, His Mother, who was in the kitchen of their Cabin, called the response."Fine, But just for a hour"Hayden breathed a sigh of relief, He Sat on the sofa, And Picked up the Remote, he flicked through the channels, He found something he liked, "Yess!, Star trek:Enterprise" He laughed, Star trek was one of his favorite shows,and Enterprise was his turned it on, But the TV...was messing up, lots of static and the sound was messed up.
"Mom, the TV is messing up" Hayden called, and his mom walked over, she looked at the TV, And said."Dear, its fine, but the Signals being interfered." She said.
Hayden looked around them, then his Brain told him to turn around and look out of the cruise ship window, perhaps because of the Shadow that was cast,or by pure instinct.
His Body froze, His brain was going warp 10, trying to figure out what he was seeing.
Hundrends of Shapes moved in the sky, his Mom saw it too, he Looked at her, she grabbed him
"SON RUN" She said, they opened the door out of their cabin, running into the hall, many other passengers have done the same, Suddenly, A Huge Explosion erupted from the and everything went black.
When Hayden came too, He Groaned, Placing his hand on his head, it throbbed as if a Metal piece had hit it, He looked around. "Mom?"He called, then to his horror, he saw he was no longer on the Cruise ship, they were on the beach of Galveston, then he saw a Purse, his moms purse.
In silence, he picked it up, looking around for his mother, he called for her, but no response came.
Climbing the Stairs from the beach, he saw the city was mostly abandoned, He Looked inside a Building, no one, he looked inside a Candy store, The Power was down here, he looked around, finding a store that had its front wall torn open. and all of its meat was gone, wait,no, just the fish, all of the fish was gone.
That made no sense.
He walked away from the Store's, toward the Middle of the Island, several buildings were burning, He then found a parking lot with a car in it, its door was open.
Hayden ran toward it, he ducked inside, it was A SUV of some kind, but nevertheless, he checked the Ignition, the key was in there, he turned it and the car roared to life.
"Yess!" Hayden screamed, He Put his foot on the gas, and he drove off, he was only 12, but his parents had taught him some basics, and he had seen some movies and his cousin was 17, he had watched him drive him to school before.
This area was like home to Hayden, he had been there many times in his life, it was etched into his memory, He thought about what had happened.
Is this a attack? He Pondered No, i saw no bombs,just those..things, and not to mention, why would everyone be gone, they would be hunkered down,as if...they were scared off. Hayden drove past a burned Sign that said said Houston:City Limit, the Drive was long, even though he was going about 70 MPH, it took a long time for him to get there.
He Slowed down and Turned onto the Road that led to his house, He had his keys, he grabbed his purse after all, the City was abandoned too.
He pulled into the Driveway, His Dads car was gone, there were tiremarks in the Driveway, wait, there were 2, as if he had driven in here Opened the car door, shut the engine off, closed the door with his key's
The door was unlocked, Hayden opened it, he found a note
"Dear Hayden and Martha" Hayden read aloud."If you are reading this, then you escaped, i predicted this would happen, the dragons indeed returned"Wait, Dragons?Hayden paused, that kinda made sense, now to think about it."The Dragons have done nothing wrong but defend themselves, but we need to help them, the Hunters are out for them, so Hayden, If you read this, i have a job for you and your mom"A Job, his dad trusted him, that much."Their is a Egg upstairs, i found it frozen in the Arctic, and The Haddock name is proven, we stand with and for the Dragons, this egg is a Egg of a Night fury, the Last ever to exist, besides the 2 that were found and taken by the Other scientist, We have deduced that the Night fury inside is the fastest and Most Intelligent one out there, aswell as the Most powerful, but even as that, take care of the Little guy when it Hatches, it will be soon, and i will leave when i have set the egg upstairs, i cant risk moving it, so do take care of the Hatching,- Your Loving father and Husband."
That was crazy, no, this IS crazy He thought, He Walked up the Stairs and into the bedroom.
He Found the Egg on the Bed, It was indeed there, it was as black as space, with some dark gray patterns,it was small,but he dared not move it.
"Hey little guy" He stroked the egg.
That Night, he stood watch around the egg, he ate Some Fruit loops, but there was no milk, so he ate it stale, for Lunch it was Bread with peanut butter and Chips,and a Banana, that was fairly normal for him.
He awoke that night to a cracking sound, not outside, but from the egg.
In surprise, he gave a laugh, the Egg was hatching, He Gazed at it, Cracks surfacing around it, He waited until a Hole Poked itself and the Egg shattered.
"aww...Hello little guy" He gazed at the Baby night fury, it had Green eyes, It wings were not spread out, and it looked like a cat,it was very adorable, and small, the Size of a Fully grown cat, not what you expected from a dragon.
"Well..lets give you a name" He said to the Baby Dragon, it gave him a tiny warble, he swore, this Dragon had to be part cat, it was so cute.
"Hm..."He thought, he did not want to give him a bad name.
He thought of things he liked that sounded good, he settled on something good.
"Shadowstrike, your name is shadowstrike"He Grinned at the Baby Dragon.
The Dragon gave him a Warble.
Narrator Pov:
Of course, there were other Fathers who had given their Children eggs, and all of them were in that city's area.
George Jorgenson POV
George was Snotlouts descendant, and had been out hiking with his Friend, who 's name was Erik Osvald, Dagurs descendent
"Erik, you sure you want to Race me to the top, your looking at 100 Pounds of muscle" George said
"Yes i do, and for that matter, i applaud you for your optimism. " Erik Answered him, grinning.
George looked around, he was strong but not as smart as Erik was, he ran up the hill, Erik complained that he cheated when they heard the Screams
They both gaped in horror at the City, smoke rose from it as what they would later know as Dragons, swarmed it, Huge Explosions echoed and the Boys, Both 12, Ran down the Hill towards their house.
"Dear Erik and George"They Both read aloud once inside."You boys are amazing like the Dragons who are defending themselves from us, they found themselves in a world they did not know, You know Hayden Haddock, that boy you bullied, well he is reading the same thing but from his father" They both gasped."Now, there are 2 eggs, a Light fury and a Monstrous Nightmare, Erik gets the Light fury, and George gets the luck from both of your fathers"They finished it, they had much the Same routine as hayden and the Eggs hatched at about the Same Time.
"I will name you... Sirus, after the Brightest star in the sky" Erik told the Light fury, now named Sirus.
"You can be..." George reflected upon himself.
"Hookfang"He told The Baby Nightmare.
..and that has been my longest chapter i have ever written, i really thought about the names there.
