Hey people... I'm Max Morgan. I need you all to keep an open mind, okay? But I guess in a world that is 80% full of innate abilities called Quirks that shouldn't be too hard right? That's what I had to learn since I'm technically not from this world. This is the story of how I went from the Vigilante of my world to a Hero of a different world, with the help of a friend of course. You may know him as Izuku Midoriya. WHAT ABOUT ME?! Oh right, and my symbiote, Bloodlust. Now let's get this started so you can stop hearing me drone on. But to tell it right, I need to go back to the beginning and tell you how it all started.
[9 years before...]
A woman rushes around a corner with a bundle in her arms. She moves to the door of an orphanage. She appears to be saying something but it is drowned out by the sound of heavy rain. As she places the bundle at the foot of the door, she attaches a small note to the front and knocks on the door. She disappears into the night just as the large doors open. A large man with a goatee steps out holding a baseball bat. He looks down when he hears crying, and picks up the small bundle. He skims the note as he walks back inside.
New York, New York. 2019. Present Day.
"Alright you little leeches! Behave yourselves when we are inside or I swear when we get back to the orphanage...!" silently yelled the Caregiver. He eyed Max and made sure Max saw the look he was giving him. Max just rolled his eyes and pulled his jacket and gloves, with the fingers cut off, on. They all got off the bus and made their way inside the new Life Foundations New York building. Max looked around and made sure to mark all the exits so he could get out of there quick when no one was looking. He was only 10, but he hated living in that orphanage. It was the one that had finished creating Cletus Cassidy, aka Carnage. Max was a nerd for superhero and supervillain facts, but his favorite hero, as any New Yorker except J. Jonah Jamison the third had as their favorite hero, was Spider-Man. Not the different ones that popped out every other week, but the ORIGINAL Spider-Man. Peter Parker, Hero, Father, Scientist, and Loving Husband is what he had read on an old newspapers front page. He had died fighting the mutated Green Goblin who had somehow separated Eddie Brock's symbiote from him, then used it to kill Peter in front of the world. But he had been killed by Peter's clone years later. Venom, as people referred to the symbiote that bonded with Brock, had disappeared since it's host was found with a broken neck in an abandoned Oscorp lab that had been Blacklisted by the Feds. As Max inched towards a door he thought was an exit, he was stopped by a overly firm grip on his shoulder. He slowly looked up to see Caretaker fumingly smiling at him. At least, he was, before Max elbowed his Family Jewels. The man fell over and clutched his groin for dear life. Max ran into the door only to find it was something different all together. The door locked behind him and Caretaker was smiling like a madman on the other side of the doors small window. Max took a stance similar to Spider Man when he fought but he stopped when the wall started moving upward. When it finally opened completely, Max cautiously took a step backwards. He then ran towards the door he came in, but a large wall slammed down and moved towards him. He had no choice but to go into the brightly lit room. He shielded his eyes with his hands, until they adjusted to the luminosity of the lights. He then saw something that nearly made his heart stop. On the other side of the room was a small machine with... SOMETHING... writhing inside of it. He turned and saw a woman giving Caretaker a few stacks of hundred dollar bills. He then ran at the glass and slammed his hands on it, only to be thrown back by a large zap of electricity. "Please refrain from touching the glass, young man. We need you in top physical condition for what comes next." said the woman who had given Caretaker the money. "Ugh... What do you mean "for what comes next"?" Max questioned while sitting up on his hands. The woman only smiled and pushed her glasses up on her face, before pressing a small red button. To his horror, he heard a small hissing sound, then a mechanical whirr. He turned his head slowly, watching a blob of red and black climb out of the machine and make its way to him as quickly as it could. Max looked back but the wall slammed down, so he crawled backwards and pressed himself against the wall shielding himself with his hands. He waited but when he didn't feel anything, he peeked out from his hands and saw the blob inspecting his shoes. Cautiously, he put his hand close to it, waiting for it to try something horrible. Instead, it put what he assumed was its head in his hand and purr(?) while he pet it slowly. It then slowly moved up his arm, and for some reason he was no longer afraid of it, and when it went into his body, he laughed because it tickled. Then the doctor woman did something that would change his life forever. She hit another button, and a deafening sound blasted throughout the room. His body felt as though it was tearing itself apart, and he could see the thing from before trying its best to stay with him. He raised his arm and grabbed the thing. The doctor was shocked by what he did next, and to this day, so was he. He shoved the thing back into his body and held it there, while his ears bled and he screamed out in pain. The doctor turned off the sounds, and Max fell on his side, slowly blacking out.
2 Days Later.
"wake up...""mmm...""Wake. Up...""mmmm...""WAKE THE FUCK UP!". Max eyes shot open and he tried looking around, only to find he was strapped to an operating table with doctors standing over him, all of them holding medical equipment. "Geez, not even an entire day and the kids built like a tank, thanks to that glorified blob." "Hey, he's awake. I guess we need a larger dose of anesthetic." said one. "Nah, that'll just take too long. Plus the symbiote will find a way to counteract it. Just start so we can see what's going on under the hood." said another. Max was panicking now, but then a wave of calm washed over him. "Panicking will get us nowhere, Kid." said a voice. Since he was calm, he only could assume that the voice was coming from the symbiote in his body. "Yeah, I'm the one talking to you right now, Max." Max took a deep breath and remembered what he had read about symbioses with a symbiote. "So how bonded are we?" "Wow, Okay, so we aren't going to do introductions? Rude ass little shit." "Sorry... I'm just really weirded out by this... Talking in my head... So what's your name?" "My name is Bloodlust, and I know your name Max Morgan." "So, how do we get out of here?" "I'll do it. Just... don't freak out". Bloodlust then began overtaking his body, becoming a large silhouette, larger than most men, and snapped through the restraints holding them to the table. The doctors began calling for the guards, but Bloodlust let his Instincts take over. He grabbed a doctor and unhinged his jaw, chomping down on his neck and biting his head clean off. He then smashed another into the wall , creating a large stain. He turned and stared the last doctor down, before his tongue shot out and grabbed the doctor by her neck, pulling her in and biting her head off. "WOAH! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" "I'm getting us out of here. What did you think I was going to do?" Bloodlust spoke out loud, while Max spoke inside his head. Bloodlust then busted down the door and began running down the hall towards a pair of double doors. As they finally made their way to the lobby, a crowd of people looked up in horror at the monster staring down at them from the the second floor balcony. Bloodlust then jumped over the crowd and landed right in front of the door. He then burst through it, only to be greeted with a man holding what appeared to be a large speaker in a suit of armor. The man turned on the cannon and aimed it at Bloodlust. When the sound came out, the symbiotes physical form began wavering as he began retreating into his host. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!" they both screeched in pain. Max fell to his knees in agonizing pain, barely staying conscious. As the guard began to close in on the pair, something inside them clicked. With Bloodlust boosting his physical abilities, Max quickly ran at the guard while Bloodlust began partially covering his body (Think 2018's Venom mixed with Spider-Man 3 Venom). As they ran, Bloodlust shot out a large strand of himself, attaching it to the ground and using it as a way to swing them around behind the guard. Max knew what to do, so putting his fingers together, Bloodlust created a large blade. Before the guard knew what was going on, he had been impaled. Then a large alarm sounded throughout the facility "I get the feeling we're not done yet..." Bloodlust said as a squadron of armed guards wielding sonic weaponry and armor piercing rounds began surrounding them. One even was holding a super heated sword. "Yeah, I think we should either fight carefully or get out of here..." "Well, with as many guards as there are, I don't think we're getting out of here without a fight" they debated with each other. Bloodlust began to change to brute form, growing in size, becoming crimson red with large splotches of dark black. His maw grew to be more slanted with jagged, white fangs shooting out, and a long prehensile tongue whipping out of it. He then crouched to all fours as his claws grew, and sharp spines protruded out of where his spine would be. He then stood upright, opening his jaws as a roar that could rival a lions passed between his saliva drenched fangs. Where eyes should be, were two jagged white patches. The patches narrowed as his head swiveled from left to right and back again, before he finally raised both arms as his maw widened into something resembling a joyful smile. His arms shot out and latched onto the two guards, pulling them as he unhinged his jaws and bit both their heads off at once. He then turned sideways to dodge the slash of the sword, gripping the holders arms and crushing them, feeling unbridled pleasure as the guard screamed in agony and from feeling the mans bones shatter. Then he fell to his knees as the others turned their sonic weapons on and trained them directly on the duo. As Bloodlust hid inside Max, Max was exposed to the ear shattering noise, only feeling relief when they stopped their assault, only to feel a searing pain run into his skull as the chief Scientist slashed his face with the super heated blade that she picked up from the broken man on the ground. "I didn't want to do this, believe me, I didn't. But you left me no choice, now I've branded you like the property you are." She said as she grabbed Max by the face and pulled him close to her own. "You, and that blob of alien sludge in there." She told him as she roughly poked his chest. At that, Max's eye shot open and bloodlust grabbed her by the throat, lifting her while transforming into his brute form, until he was staring directly into her eyes. And he was wearing the same scar as his host. "WE. BELONG. TO NO ONE." He said in a whispering tone, before lifting her up and smashing her into the ground as the men she paid to protect her could do nothing but watch in horror at what was happening. Over and over, she was smashed downward into the cold concrete, until she was nothing more than a stain on the ground. He then slowly turned to the guards, before saying only a few words that made the men turn tail and run. "YOU WANNA BE NEXT?! LEAVE US ALONE OR YOU'LL SUFFER A WORSE FATE THAN HERS!" were his last words before leaping away into the night.
An hour later.
Bloodlust was now perched on the highest point of the golden gate bridge, watching cars go by and surveying the city after dark. "Ya' know... It's beautiful up here... Wish we could just stay here forever..." Bloodlust said in a hushed tone. "Yeah... that'd be great..." said Max. They stayed there for a few more minutes before leaping into the air and riding down the wall, using only their clawed hands. As they neared the ground of the bridge, they leapt off the wall and went over the side. To most people, it was just someone taking their life by jumping off the bridge, but instead off hitting the water, they used their arms as grappling hooks, swinging while using the free hand to grab onto the next hold under the bridge. As they neared dry land, they heard a shrill shriek coming from a back ally. All other people walked by, not giving a care, but from above a sharp fanged smile looked down at the scene. A man was trying to rape a woman who looked like she worked at a hospital, and she looked around for help while trying to fight off her attacker. Bloodlust's stomach rumbled loudly. "I want to eat them." said Bloodlust as he slinked down the wall, using everything as a foot and hand hold. "NO! ONLY THE GUY! HE'S THE BAD GUY! PLEASE BLOODLUST!" pleaded Max. Reluctantly, he silently agreed. He snuck up behind the man, as the woman let out terrified gasp, the man felt something wet and slimy land on his shoulder. He turned slowly, until he was face to face with an open mouth filled with fangs. He didn't even have time to utter a sound as the maw opened impossibly wide and wrapped around his torso. The large creature bite down and severed him in half with ease. The woman stared in horror as the monster turned to her and smiled devilishly, closing in on her. She put her hands up in a feeble attempt to protect herself, until she felt a tiny hand on hers and a small voice ask her a single question. "Are you okay?". She slowly opened her eyes and saw a boy no older than 10 kneeling in front of her, with a genuine look of concern. She nodded slowly and watched as the boy smiled and stood up, putting his hands in his hoodies pockets. She then watched that same little boy turn into a giant. She was amazed and remembered something similar happening to her mother. She saw that the being was about to jump away, so she hurried and got her words in line. "Who... Who are you?" she asked. "Us?". she nodded. Their face split, showing the young man and the beast he had become at the same time. "We are Bloodlust..." they told her before leaping up and clearing the building, vanishing into the night. From that day forward, sightings of the monstrous protector known as Bloodlust began to rise, until the entire criminal underground was afraid to even try anything, and the public thought of him as a hero. At least, almost all of them. "THIS BLOODLUST CHARACTER IS A MENACE!" shouted a furious JJJ the third. He looked around and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'll give a raise to anyone who can get me a photo of this wannabe Venom!"
Two years later. Harlem.
Bloodlust was in the shadow of an ally, before shrinking and entering Teo's bodega. Teo was an ally and one of the only people that knew Max was Bloodlust. And Max was the only person that knew Teo had power over electricity. As Max walked inside the store, a small bell rang, signaling his entry. "Sorry, we're closed." shouted Teo from the back room as the lights flickered a bit. "Aww... even for your best customers?" said Max loud enough for him to hear. Teo peeked out and smiled widely, walking out with his arms spread. "Max! How ya been, stranger?" he asked nonchalantly. Max just smiled and shrugged, picking out a couple candy bars and a small ramen packet. He then turned and approached the counter, and took out a 20 dollar bill, much to the surprise of Teo. "So kid, where'd you get all that cash?" asked Teo. "Took a job taking photos for the Bugle." replied Max. They chatted for a while as the sun fully went down, then Max got ready to go to work. "Alright Teo, I'll be seeing you. Duty calls." said Max as he pulled his hood on and walked out the door. He slowly walked into the ally, before he became one with Bloodlust. They then leaped onto the ledge of the building before jumping across to the rooftops across the road. They then ran into the night, looking for people to save and their next meals.
Four hours later.
Bloodlust was perched atop a large signal tower. He surveyed the city, looking for his next meal. That was until something caught his eye. A large gleam, like a false sunrise, and the ground began to shake. Then someone landed next to them, the masked crusader that helped him figure out a fighting style, a now older Miles Morales. "You see that?" he asked. "We see it. What do you think?" the asked him. "I think Kingpin's trying to start up an old project of his." he said as his lenses narrowed. "When I started this gig, Kingpin tried to bring his family here from a different dimension." "We remember. Max read about it in an old newspaper, long before he met me, long before we became us." they conversed. Miles then stood and stretched before asking, "So... you coming?". They just grinned wider and nodded before tightening up the muscles in their arms and legs. Miles then turned around and backflipped off the tower before crossing his legs and putting his arms behind his head. Once he had fallen far enough, he moved one of his arms and did the signature Spider-Man hand sign, before a distinct 'PSHT' could be heard as a web shot out and gripped onto a building. With the grace of a master acrobat who had trained all his life, he swung and launched himself into the air. Bloodlust then launched themselves forward before jumping from roof to roof, then they began running on the ledges before roof jumping once more. When both heroes landed at the now decrepit Fisk Tower, another quake made its way from underneath them. They both looked at each other with concern before entering the building and jumping down the now-not-so secret elevator. What they saw both amazed and terrified them. The super-collider that Fisk had built at the beginning of Miles career was now re-built and had been improved a significant amount. From the control tower was a horrible looking, once thought dead, Olivia Octavius. "Well, hello Miles. Fancy seeing you here. But, I've never seen you before Mr...?" "Bloodlust." "Riiight... Well sorry you both came out here for nothing but I have someone to welcome into our world and I can't have either of you ruining it. So, it's time for you both to die." she said before slamming two buttons simultaneously, one making the collider slowly start up. The other opened a large cargo door, behind was an squad of Octo bots. Their chassis' shining a bit too brightly than normal metal. "Vibranium. Shit, this is going to be hard." said Bloodlust. Miles nodded and looked at Olivia, just noticing that she looked just as young as he first saw her, younger even. "So, Liv, where and how did you get all this stuff?" Miles questioned. "Well, since you're about to die, remember when that truck hit me?" "Yeah, we all thought you died." "Well, in a way I did. But I landed in a different dimension, one very different from this one, but also very similar." she said, snapping her fingers. The bots began circling the trio, keeping them in one place. "There, I was found by someone who, in their worlds terms, was a literal GOD. He saved me and gave me something that was impossible until now." she said smiling menacingly. "And what was that liv?" demanded Miles. "Superpowers, Miles. The one thing that has eluded everyone on this earth. He can take the powers of the people on his earth and give them to people who don't have them!" She yelled. "While I was stuck there, my cellular structure had been decaying. HE gave me the power to heal myself at will, and helped me figure out how to rebuild a makeshift collider to get back here, not to stay but to open they way for him to expand his domain to OUR world!" she yelled out as the Upgraded collider began to reach its point of no return. Bloodlust and Max had had just about enough. "Miles. Can you keep these bots busy while we try to destroy the collider?" they asked. "Yeah, just hurry. If this gets fully operational, we won't be able to stop it." They nodded and jumped over the bots, landing on the wall and digging their claws into the wall, before jumping up the wall, creating their own hand and foot holds. As they got to the top, they jumped onto the head of the collider, about to start tearing it apart before they were smacked back down to the ground floor by Olivia's seemingly upgraded Octo arms. "Like them? They're Nanotechnology from HIS world." she said caressing them like a pet. They just growled and shot forward before jumping up towards the collider once more, only to grabbed by the feet and slammed into the wall. "ARGH! MAX, CAN I EAT HER?!" He asked. "YES! KILL THAT FUCKING BITCH!" Max yelled. They ran at her, turning their arms into blades and slashing at her and her Octo arms. What they didn't notice was that the collider had become fully operational. "MAX! THE COLLIDER!" yelled Miles as he was using all his strength to destroy the bots. The duo looked up in a panic before seeing a small portal open up in the middle of the large room. He watched as a hand slowly come out of the portal. "HE'S HERE!" yelled Olivia. Bloodlust sucker punched her and jumped up to the part that had the severed hand in it, then tore it out before portal could open any wider. He didn't account for the portal to start sucking everything near it in, including them. As they went in, the duo could see multiple realities at once, and saw the hand the had kept from coming into their world grab his leg and pull him towards it. "SHIIIIIIIIIIITTTT!" they yelled as they were flung from the portal over an open sky, with the portal sparking behind them. They then felt wind rushing past them and looked back to see they were miles from the nearest rooftop. "...OOOOOHHH FUUUUUUUCK!" they then tried to slow their fall. As they fell to the earth, they spread their arms and legs to slow down a bit. When they neared the rooftops, Bloodlust dug his hands into the side of the nearest buildings wall. They then wall jumped down, slipping and falling the rest of the way down before hitting their back on a nearby dumpster. They landed on the ground of the alley, groaning in agony. As Max's friend receded into his body, He stood up and began trying to walk to the entrance to the alley. At least that was the plan, until he fell on his side, his arm and leg shattered, and slowly mending at a snails pace. "... damnit... this sucks..." he said before his vision began getting blurry. He fished out one of the chocolate bars from his jacket, tearing the wrapper with his teeth, before wolfing it down. His wounds began healing faster, but he felt so tired. He began to close his eyes to rest, and the last thing he saw was a pair of people jump down from out of nowhere, before he blacked out from exhaustion.
