A/N: We're back with my OC Jess, I swear the story will be published when I have enough chapters complete. But basically Jess is with Tex...
"Wow, it smells amazing in here." Tex said as he and Danny walked into the kitchen after a long day of training recruits.
"That would be dinner. It still needs an hour and change to do it's thing." Jess told them as she was packing the dishwasher.
"I love a mean stew." Tex said before he kissed Jess 'hello'. "You've been busy, I see the Christmas tree up." he said as he grabbed a couple of ginger beers from the fridge and passed one to Danny. He and Danny saw the Christmas tree was up in the living room when they passed through on the way to the kitchen.
"You know it's October, right?" Danny asked her. Jess gave him a bored look.
"Yes, I know but I'm decorating it for Halloween and then after Halloween it's a Thanksgiving tree, then a Christmas tree. Brilliant, I know." She said smugly as Tex and Danny digested her idea.
"I don't even know what to say to that." Danny said, he was speechless given he felt like Jess didn't have a creative bone in her body. It also sounded stupid and like a lot of unnecessary work.
"You don't live here, so your opinion does not matter. But Tex, you'll see it and you'll love it when it's done." Jess assured Tex.
"It's not how Christmas trees are supposed to be used." Danny said as he couldn't resist annoying her. Jess scrunched her nose and made a ghastly face at him and disappeared into the living room.
"Ah, let Jess go wild. It's her first Hallothanksmas tree. Hell, it's mine too." Tex said happily. Danny gave him a look of disbelief but then Tex always seemed to find the silver lining in the situation.
"You just made that up. Hallothankmas tree." Danny scoffed before he took a sip of his beer.
"I did and I like how it rolls off the tongue. Hallothanksmas tree." Tex said proudly.
"You two are crazy." Danny told him, he had heard some stupid holiday decoration ideas in his time. But a Hallothankmas tree was hitting right at the top as of that moment.
"Crazy with ideas, given we just made a new holiday tradition." Tex announced happily.
