Freya was willing her body to not move, seeing the black hooded man before her, a voice in her mind chanting to kill him, to end him, to stop him. Yet something about this was wrong, so very, very wrong. Like the time with Jelena when Bruke gave her orders to kill Jelena and bring her head back, which Freya didn't do as she closed her eyes, letting Jelena run off like they planned. Something about this whole operation seemed wrong...but what worried Freya the most was she couldn't control her body.
Why did this feel familiar?
Her blue eyes locked onto the black hooded man, he was tall...a High Elf maybe? Everything was cloaked in a red tint and somewhat blurry, so she wasn't too sure. "Gyuh!" She tried to stop her body, the movements of her limps jerky and hesitant as she tried to stop her hand from touching the shaft of her glaive. "R-run…" Freya hissed out between gritted teeth, the pupils of her eyes red as though she was under some kind of spell or curse.
The black hooded man took a step back, then seemed to think better of it and stayed where he was. "Who are you?" He asked, hood still hiding his face. "I...I…" Freya couldn't think over the sound of the voice in her head getting louder, demanding she kill the 'Black Hood' as the man before her was called. A vision flashed before her mind of black hands, tipped red, grabbing her head and forcing her into submission, before she saw water rushing up toward her and then darkness. She looked at the Black Hood, seeing that he had black hands. Gloves maybe? They weren't tipped red...but it mattered little as her mind snapped.
"DIE!" Freya shouted as she charged forward, eyes completely red, glaive poised to strike and the Black Hood dodged the attack before his single blade separated into two. So he was a warrior then. Freya was relentless in her attacks, the two justicars with her fighting alongside her but this Black Hood man didn't seem to be breaking a sweat fending her and the other two off. Freya knew that, if she was in her right mind, this man would be thinking completely different.
Suddenly, footsteps sounded behind her as the Black Hood knocked her back but she got right back up, still trying to fight off whatever was controlling her. The Black Hood jumped at her again, but another person jumped before Freya. "Elleon, stop!" Jelena! A High Elf was with Jelena and she was casting a spell before it washed over Freya and the other two. Freya gasped and took a deep lungful of air, feeling like she was no longer suffocating.
"They aren't our enemies, they're our friends." Jelena said urgently to the black hooded High Elf who relaxed and put his weapons away. Jelena seemed to relax as well and turned toward Freya who was using her glaive to keep standing, legs shaking as she tried to compose herself. All the images that flooded her mind while under that spell and fighting the black hooded man left her feeling vulnerable and told her exactly what she needed.
Samael and Bruke were the traitors.
"You look paler than usual. You feeling okay?" Jelena asked as she cupped Freya's face, seeing the red leaving Freya's eyes as the black haired Castanic slowly became herself again. "J-Jelena?" Freya asked the stormy haired Castanic, in which Jelena nodded, storm blue eyes showing concern for her friend. "Yeah, you okay?" Jelena asked softly, which seemed to shock the two High Elves as they looked at one another, before the female shrugged and left, her job done.
Freya, finally having caught her breath, stood to her full height, which was the same height as Jelena and put her weapon away. "What the hell happened?" Freya muttered, rubbing her head, giving a wince as it pulsed painfully. "My guess is someone was trying to get you to do their dirty work by getting rid of me and Elleon, then possibly frame you for our deaths." Jelena said and Freya frowned...yeah, sounds like something Bruke and Samael would do.
"Well, glad I was, at least, in my right mind when it came to you." Freya said to Jelena, who nodded, before Freya turned toward the male High Elf, who watched them silently. Freya suddenly bowed, shocking the male High Elf, Jelena and the two that came with Freya. "I am so, SO sorry!" Freya apologized to the male, who sighed and pulled his hood down. "I couldn't control my body and I tried to warn you. I just…" She flushed when she stood back up.
The High Elf had silver hair and silver eyes, was somewhat pale and his silver hair stopped just above his shoulders and was pushed to the right. 'Oh shit...this does not help my blood pressure.' Freya thought dryly, before closing her eyes. "I'm sorry." She muttered, not sure what else to say before turning her head to look away, rubbing her neck. "It's alright, you were under some kind of spell." He responded smoothly, not at all offended by what happened.
Oh Velik, his voice!
She felt her body tense as heat rushed through her, almost clenching her legs together but resisted as she didn't want to show exactly what his voice and looks did to her. Jelena merely raised a brow at her, seeing the involuntary reactions that Freya's body was having and she almost laughed, seemed like she found Freya's type. Freya gathered the courage to look at him and Jelena, before she cleared her throat and rubbed her arms, feeling very exposed in the armor she was wearing. Why didn't she think to grab something that covered more skin?!
'Because it constricts your movements. You need something that will let you move more freely.' She remembered Jelena saying after the Castanic bought her silver valkyrie armor. Don't get Freya wrong, she loved the armor and it was more comfortable than she thought it would be...but if she had known she was going to meet someone like Elleon...she would've covered up more. 'He must think I'm looking for attention.' Freya thought, before hearing a low growl behind her and she paled. 'Oh shit...Crimson!' Freya spun around, holding her hands up.
"Crimson, calm down!" Freya said quickly to soothe her Crimsonhide dragon, the red drake moving closer and barring his fangs at everyone, especially the men. "What in the name of Velik?" The black hooded man, Elleon muttered, silver eyes wide and Jelena smacked her forehead. "Freya's dragon, Crimson." Jelena explained, walking over. "It's okay Crim, he's with me." Jelena said to the Crimsonhide dragon, who scoffed and continued to bare his fangs at the men in the cave.
Freya gave a heavy sigh and walked over to Crimson, gently laying a hand on his snout and instantly his growls lowered in volume and got less threatening, before the dragon was no longer growling and snarling. "It's okay Crimson. We were tricked." Crimson wouldn't have minded if it meant he could kill any male that so much as looked at his rider. "And you were possessed by something earlier." Jelena said nonchalantly and Freya paled as Crimson's growls picked up in volume once more.
"I was TRYING to not work him up again Jelena." Freya muttered, frowning at her friend, in which Jelena shrugged. "Hey, he wants to kill any male who does you wrong, right?" Jelena commented, before crossing her arms. "I'm just pointing him in the right direction. Bruke is your target." Jelena said and Crimson's pupils dilated as the dragon growled loudly and tensed, when Freya hugged his snout. "Oh no you don't, you are not running off to maim anyone Crimson." Freya hissed at her dragon, even as his tail lashed yet he made no move in fear of hurting his rider.
Elleon looked at Jelena, who smirked at him. "I think we found the 'secret weapon' we overheard Dougal talking about on the Island of Dawn." Jelena said and Elleon nodded, he was indeed believing they found the woman who would reveal the traitor in their midst. As Jelena went to talk to Freya, and hopefully calm Crimson down, Elleon thought back to that day when the Argon's attacked the Island of Dawn. He had seen the children in the tubes and had almost rushed in to protect the children, like his job entailed...when suddenly Freya appeared and attacked the argon predator.
Then the girl, Anya, he believed Freya shouted her name, sacrificed herself to Tiaran and became one with the tree. He had stayed only long enough to hear Dougal call Freya his secret weapon to bring the traitor in the federation to justice and he repeated that conversation to Jelena whom Elleon knew he could trust. He rubbed his chin, remembering the time he was on the Island of Dawn, watching Freya interact with the children and Anya.
He remembered he only spoke to her once before just watching from afar but, even in those moments he saw her, she was interesting and something about her obviously captured the others attention for her to get such recognition as the guardian of the children. He shook his head, trying to forget a certain Goddess's words, he'd dwell on more later when he was safer and knew what to do. First things first, he and Jelena needed to disappear, regroup in Velika and talk to Freya in the city where he and Jelena could blend in more easily.
Things just got more complicated...but also very interesting.
Like I said in the previous story, I firmly believe Elleon was on the Island of Dawn when it was attacked by the Argons and yes, when I heard his voice for the first time, I just froze and fell in love. It doesn't help that he had silver hair and silver eyes. That just made me love him even more, then getting to fight alongside him on certain quests or helping him out, I was like: "It's official, I ship Elleon with my character." I almost shipped my character with Jelena because when I first spoke to her, she sounded flirty as she said: "Oh hey, wanna grab a drink?" And I just kind of went with it afterwards by having her be flirty whenever she see's Freya. After all, I doubt Freya acts like most other Castanic's. (Seriously, why does every Castanic I talk to seem to say something flirty?!)
But then I met Elleon, feel in love with his character design and was like: "...He's mine. Screw everyone else." So...yeah...I have a thing for silver hair and silver eyes apparently. Well, enjoy! ^^
