Harry Potter is watching a late night TV Show with Johnny Carson and the fastest rising star director who only got her start on a whim in May of 1994. She did a pilot episode with children in the 11-13 age range.
It was called Aunt Wendy Workshop and was an educational television program mixed in with some comedy. The parents of the kids really liked it. It was picked and put in a prime time slot.
During the summer break the director took the families on vacation to Europe. While they the director was asked to make a movie. The children in the TV Series and their siblings and parents all got roles.
The parents quickly caught why the director calls the shots. The friction went away quickly when the director told those causing the friction that they were not being forced to work in the movie. They could just as easily walk away and not be paid 350 per day.
The friction Evaporated quickly. The movie was filmed in France & Germany, slightly over budget. However the director paid out of pocket for the over budget cost. The family flew back to America while the director flew to London to the studios there to wrap the film and get it ready for release.
The movie came out titled," Uncle Jimmy's Swap-shop". A story about a man who had a swap-shop where you could swap tools for a small fee of course.
Of course a time portal was built into the wall of the store, so Uncle Jimmy could go into the past and buy tools that were considered antiques, bring them forward to the future and sell them or swap them at a high mark up.
He took some of the newer stuff apart, rewired it to work with older technology which he had plenty of going back in time once a week to see his 'inventions' to mechanics of the past.
One of his customers from the future broke into the store one evening and walked thru the portal while it was still active. He ended up 35 years in the past where he lived 5 more years womanizing all over the place. When it looked like the courts would get him for child support he went back thru the portal to the day after he had originally entered it.
Only now he had several more cousins and a brother and sister he did not know existed. He slowly figured out he was his cousins father as well as the father of his brother and sister.
He went to see uncle Jimmy. Jimmy explained to him that he, uncle jimmy, was the father of his brother and sister.
Uncle Jimmy tells him had to close the portal because one of the tinkered items he Took back in time had parts in it that were stamped with a manufacturers seal stamped into the metal.
The guy asks what can they do. Uncle Jimmy tells the guy it was 35-30 years ago, so hopefully they would give up looking for them after a lot of years.
Not so. One traffic ticket and Uncle Jimmy was caught as was his passenger.
The most confusing thing though was the man whose II indicated he was only 25 years old, but his finger prints were on police records dating back 30-35 years.
He looked the Captain of the PD in the face and said,"Do you believe in Magic? Or the anti-electronic force that negates the theories of a lot of forces. Do you believe a force field can negate the laws of time".
The Captain has recorded the conversation. He leaves the room to enter the next room where the FBI men are sitting.
The capt asks them if they understand his gobbledegook crap and they tell the capt. that somehow that guy was last seen when he was a few years younger, but over 25 years previously.
The FBI guy tells the Captain that the man broke no laws when he was doing what he was doing and it was not until after he disappeared that what he had done became illegal.
The FBI told the Captain, "we are pretty sure the young guy has access to a time device of some kind that does not use a lot of energy..
Just then Uncle Jimmy shows up with a lawyer and bail for the kid, who is by the way the father of the kid. And only those of his blood line can use the machine.
The fbi guy asks him he'd like to father a few hundred more kids who'd grow up and go to work for the FBI.
Uncle Jimmy sez 'we will think about it' .and the screen fades to black as the screen credits run and the movie ends.
J.G. Walker is sitting on a stage being interview and is being asked in 1997 how she got her start in Directing.
She looks at Johnny Carson and tells him,"Originally I had taken a neighbor to a screen casting. As she went and got dressed her 12 year old daughter Samantha was asking what her mother was doing. So I explained in detail that her mother wanted to demonstrate to these people that she had enough talent to do the job. So her mom was going to go out on a costume, the kind used in play acting. "
"Then she would go over the script she would read from and the director would tell her her the emotion he wanted her to display while saying the words"
Samantha asked why would her mom want to be an actress. I replied," sometimes if you are very good at it you are asked to do it again and are offered a lot of money to do the job, also known in the acting trade as a 'gig'".
"So then the director comes out to direct a 15 minute video and as he does so I explain to Samantha about the light man who aims the lights, controls the intensity or softness of the lights being cast. Then I pointed to a man holding a cardboard plate with aluminum foil wrinkled. I point out it can change the intensity of the light and make it softer, even add shadows and so forth"
So Johnny is asking where I learned all that and I told him. "I learned it from watching my nephew do his job for one week at TBN. I had to drive him there everyday for a week. So I sat around and watched how each person did there job including the director who had the responsibility of telling the choreographer where the tape marks should be at on the floor, so the actors would know where to stand. The tape marks would not appear in the camera. There were nine cameras aimed at the stage, 3 on the TBN President Paul Crouch and his wife Jan, 4 between them and 2 aimed at the singers. . I watched the director four hours a day for 5 days."
Johnny,"so you essentially memorized what occurred there at the TBN studios.?"
JGW"Yessir, walking in there with my mind being so inquisitive about a TV Studio, was like walking in with a Videocamera and filming and recording everything there."
Johnny, "Even here prior to our interview on stage here ?."
JGW," The conversation was not that interesting enough to memorize. Just ignore the thoughts and they'll fade in a few days. If I am interested in it it gets memorized, otherwise I dump the memories as 'wasted space.' "
After the interview we answer questions from the audience. One guy approached the stage and stopped at the microphone. I look at him intensely, recognize him and stand up and say,"James A. Morehead, I have not seen you since high school in 1960. How is your mother?"
He pauses and bows his head and weeps, because now he has recognized me as to I used to be and now was. In his mind he had known me as a male in school and now I was a director as a female.
He sniffs a few times, straightens his head and replies,"A movie studio got her accommodations at the SF Valley Long Term Care Facility, because she has Alzheimer's. "
JGW,"My mom had the same thing and passed from it within two years. So I decided to look up everyone I knew in high school and if their parents needed help, then to help them if I was able too do so."
He thanked me and returned to his seat. I looked at Johnny and told him that because of my directing job I learned about giving back, and so I was giving back to the parents of people I knew in school."
"I figured since my mom had problems then maybe my friends from high school, their moms had problems. So I had set up a trust to pay for their moms who needed help and were under insured."
After the show is over and the audience has left Mr Carson asked me how I knew Mr Morehead. I showed him the scar on my right arm from wrist to elbow and told him,"this was a souvenir that one of his former friends gave me."
Mr Carson looked at the scar then asked me."what happened to the former friend." And I replied that the former friend had an accident and seconds after he gave me the scar. Anyways those records were all sealed under juvenile court records."
He nodded. Thanked me and I left the studio.
She is off to her next job in a month, after a few weeks in London on Vacation. A few days later she arrives in London at Heathrow airport. After going thru customs she pulls out a wand and waves it to catch the Knight Bus to the Leakey Cauldron.
At the Leakey Csuldron she gets a room for a week. The following day she pays her respects to Queen Anne at the Tower of London. She does this in the evening just before closure. The Warden of the Keep starts to tell her they are closed for the evening, but she teleports past him to a cement block testing outside the Tower of the Keep.
She waves her wand at the ground a rose bushes spring up around the grave market. Pixies are seen fluttering around. The warden realizes she is like the white witch.
She kneels before the gravestone and weeps not only for her mother, but for all mothers everywhere who lose children to death and disease.
Queen Anne Boleyn arises from the grave as a ghost. The warden is frozen in fear, but he takes a knee and bows as well.
Just then a wizard who is severely wounded has been portkeyed into that area. Queen Anne starts to ask what the meaning of this is. JGW uses her wand to heal the teenage boy.
Just then a monstrous looking man and 50 wizards appear before Queen Anne. The wizards who know their stories drop their wands and beg for mercy. The rest of ho have no respect are sucked into the keep, to have a non dying death.
Those who had dropped there wands to ask for mercy are addressed by Queen Anne who tells them they will be forgiven by the Crown of England after they have all served 20-25 years to earth which they readily agree and they are teleported into the Tower of London. They become ghostly with their bodies in the earth. Twenty three years later those who have truly repented are forgiven and restored to life.
Meanwhile JGW has risen with the power of an Elemental Mage. Queen Anne tasks JGW with filming a movie using real wizards and magic.
