Summary – Supergirl is affected by red kryptonite, and when Optimus Prime passes through National City, he decides to help save the superhero.
Defeated
Optimus Prime was not sure what didn't make him think of this sooner, he could cut through National City and get back to the NEST/Autobot base sooner than expected. However, what he didn't count on was a human female flying and landing in front of him.
He transformed as she glared at him.
"What do you want?" she demanded.
Optimus looked shocked, he scanned the female and realized she was the famed Supergirl and was supposed to be a hero.
"I am Optimus Prime, you know who I am, Kara and..."
"You're right, I do know who you are I asked you, what do you want?" she demanded.
"I just want passage through your National City to get to the NEST base," Optimus said as Supergirl laughed slightly.
Optimus frowned when she laughed.
"And, what if I refuse to grant you passageway through my city?" she asked coldly as Alex and the rest of the DEO arrived.
"Supergirl stand down, he is an ally," Alex ordered.
"I am the only hero in this city... My city." She snarled as she let her heat vision go trying to hit the unsuspecting Autobot leader but he was able to dodge her heat vision.
She snarled, but aimed once more causing him to move faster. Alex used her comm to talk to Optimus.
::::::... Optimus, can you distract her enough so I can neutralize the red kryptonite…:::::::::
:::::::... Yes, Alex I will distract her….::::::::::
Optimus got Supergirl to be distracted with him by trying to hit him, however, when she used her freeze breath on his leg he ran into a problem.
"He's weak," Supergirl laughed.
"He's the leader of the Autobots from Cybertron, he just wanted safe passage back to his base. You attacked him for no reason, Kara!" Alex yelled as she got the weapon ready to counteract the red kryptonite.
Optimus' leg was shattered but Alex was able to hit Supergirl with the weapon knocking her to the ground.
J'onn had gone over to Optimus Prime knowing exactly who he was, and he shook his head when he looked at Alex.
"His leg is shattered," J'onn remarked sadly. "I will call General Morshower," he said. "So, they can bring a plane for his extraction."

Hours later NEST and the other Autobots were there and not at all happy about what happened to their leader, especially Ironhide and Ratchet.
"You allowed this to happen instead of protecting a peaceful alien being?" Lennox demanded as Supergirl tried to go up but all of NEST and the Autobots showed hostile intentions and weapons toward her.
"I know I have no excuse and I know that no amount of I am sorry will help or make up for the fact I hurt him," she said.
"I forgive her," Optimus said in a soft tone.
"What?" the others said.
"I hold no malice toward her. She was poisoned by red kryptonite, besides she is my friend," Optimus said.
Everyone was shocked but honestly, Ratchet wasn't. Optimus was compassionate, everyone thought it was his weakness, but it was his secret weapon just no one truly realized it, but him.
