Flashback starts as we witness the last few moments of Seabound's final fight...
Ninjago is flooded and the battle of Wojira vs Nya continues as Jay and the rest of the ninja crew witness the events unfold from a nearby rooftop.
[TSSTTTT] The mighty serpent, Wojira, calls upon the storm amulet that sits atop her forehead alongside the amulet of the sea.
Purple lightning bolts begin to strike down from the dark clouds and hit Nya's dragon form, electrifying and stunning her in the process. Wojira then quickly launches her ability 'Fury of the Storm' and directly hits her target, Nya seemingly obliterates without a trace on impact.
"No!" Jay shouts as Master Wu and the rest of the Ninja team gasp with shock.
Wojira lets out a deep growl and turns her attention towards the rooftop where the rest of the team is taking refuge. The mighty sea serpent was about to unleash yet another strike and alas, all hope seems to be lost as the ninjas cower in fear before the massive creature.
[CRACK] A large lightning bolt breaks through the blackened skies and halts Wojira's attack.
The evil serpent turns to peer upwards in time to see the raindrops reform Nya's water dragon. Another bolt of lightning illuminates the skies as Nya begins charging directly at Wojira, who lets out an angered roar in response to her approach.
Nya transforms from her water dragon to her human form and continues to charge directly at Wojira from above.
"Nya..?" Jay watches, feeling completely powerless to help.
Nya reaches Wojira's forehead and with a great amount of force directly pierces the blue amulet of the sea, destroying it in the process. With the amulet of the sea now gone, Wojira begins to spark with purple lightning, unbalanced and now overpowered by the single amulet of the storm.
A large purple lightning bolt quickly strikes down on Wojira, ultimately destroying the serpent in a bright flash of violet electricity.
-Flashback ends-
A little over a week since Nya's memorial, early in the morning as the sun peaks ever-so slightly above the horizon. At the monastery Master Wu sits quietly in front of his burning incense as he deeply meditates.
Meanwhile in the dormitory, on the opposite side of the monastery...
[COLE SNORES LOUDLY]
Kai tosses and turns as he tries to cover his ears with a pillow to block out the earth quaking snores from Cole.
[Cole Continues Snoring]
Gahhh...aghhh "ALRIGHT, I'm up!" Kai shouts as he angrily chucks a pillow at Cole, who's fast asleep on another bunk across the room.
The pillow nails Cole directly in the face, waking him up in the process while Kai's sudden loud voice easily awakens the rest of the ninja in the dorm.
Kai jumps down from the top bunk, his eyes catching the undisturbed blue sheets of the bed below him. A concerned frown grows upon his face as he draws his glance and exits the room without another word.
"Geez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Cole exclaims as he jumps down from his bunk, gently rubbing his tired eyes. Zane questionably looks at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Give him some time." Lloyd says as everyone peers over to Jay's empty bed with saddened faces. "We're all trying to get through this." Lloyd adds.
(Waves crash along the shoreline)
The never-ending flow of crystal blue water washes up onto the golden sand, erasing a fresh trail of footsteps along the beach, close to the waters edge. Seen a short distance ahead sits a small wooden shack, the door creaks open as Jay emerges.
He lets out a big yawn as he stretches while overlooking the sea. "Today... Nya." Jay says quietly to himself holding a hand up to block the brightly shinning sun as it reflects against the wide horizon. "Wait for me..."
Meanwhile back at the monastery... Kai enters the meditation hall to speak with Master Wu.
"Good Morning Master, sorry to interrupt..." Kai says, watching Wu sitting quietly in front of the burning incense.
Master Wu opens an eye to look at his student while Kai continues to speak. "We've searched the entire city..."
"We can't seem to find him... Jay's disappeared without a trace. Even his tracker isn't responding..." Kai upsettingly adds. "Is there anywa-"
Master Wu interrupts Kai. "Sometimes the one thing you are looking for is the one thing you can not see." Master Wu says with a soft tone.
"A lesson, Sensei?" Kai questions before pausing for a short moment to ponder his teacher's wise words. After many seconds in silence Kai finally surrenders with a stressful sigh as he turns back to the hall that is now filled with the smell of freshly cooked food.
Back at the dinning room, Zane emerges from the kitchen wearing his classic pink apron and serving steaming breakfast platters to the center of the dinning table.
Cole, Lloyd, and Zane are already enjoying breakfast just as Kai walks in and finds a seat next to Lloyd at the table.
"Everything okay?" Lloyd asks, handing Kai a plate of food.
"Dark circles under your eyes indicate you haven't been getting enough sleep." Zane calculates.
"Yeah..." Kai says. "Cole, I apologize for losing my temper earlier." he adds while looking across the table at Cole.
"It's all good." Cole replies. "I get to start the pillow fight next time though." He says with a big grin.
"Why don't we take the day to relax?" Lloyd suggests. "We've all been busy this past week, we could all use some R&R."
"I'm down!/Sure!" Cole and Zane say in unison.
"What do you think?" Lloyd asks, looking over to Kai.
Kai looks at Lloyd then over to Cole and Zane who both eagerly await his answer. "I guess one day wouldn't hurt." He replies.
Master Wu slides open the hallway door with his bamboo bo staff in hand, attracting the ninja's attention.
"Well then... I know just the place." Wu says walking into the room as he moves a hand past his long white beard.
