Otto and Aunt May's wedding was uneventful. None of the Avengers had deigned to appear, which had greatly disappointed Peter, he had always had the impression that he was not well liked among them, this had only confirmed it. Although Captain America and the Winter Soldier had sent a gift to the couple, apologizing for their absence because they had to catch Zemo.

Except that Zemo, along with many other supervillains were currently at the wedding.

Because Otto had wanted to show off friends and had invited all the supervillains of Gotham, fortunately the Joker had not been able to attend although he was invited, he had to stay watching his bat, but Harley Quinn and Ivy, had attended; from Metropolis, Lex and Peter who had already known each other for years and still maintained good contact with each other; from Central City, from The Avengers ... and of course from Spiderman. They had assured Otto that they would know how to behave, because Peter had invited Matt and his team, the X-Men and, of course, Wade and his family and Harry. The villains knew there were heroes among them, they just didn't know who or how many they were.

Today was a special day and everyone had decided to make a truce. This had given Peter the opportunity to meet many of the great villains and chat with them, surprising that they wanted to talk to him. Not many heroes or villains could bear his spiel, but the Rogues, villains of Central City, had quickly grown fond of him, affectionately telling him that he reminded them of their speedster. He had also taken photos with almost everyone present, but there was a photo that he would always keep. All his life he had wanted to meet Doctor Crane and now he had a photo with him.

If you didn't know each other's secret identities, it was very easy for them to go unnoticed, camouflaged, among Aunt May's friends and guests.

For some strange reason, Peter couldn't take his gaze off Quentin, who was currently dancing with Zemo. He wasn't jealous, he had to remind himself for the umpteenth time, even though they looked surprisingly good together. May had been the one to organize the table settings, and Peter had been at the table with the Gotham villains. He was sitting between The Scarecrow, and Bane, in front of The Riddler, Two-Face And The Hatter. Nygma and Peter had hit it off on the spot and had spent an hour solving puzzles, much to Nygma's satisfaction. Bane had been giving him fighting tips and Peter had been telling him how to dodge or counter them. Peter had a feeling that if Bane were one of his villains, he would be one of his favorites. Bane had invited him to fight him in Gotham as equals, in a ring that nullified the superforce. Peter had also received an invitation to join the League of Shadows from one Ra's al Ghul, who called himself The Villain Superhero Trainer among the villains. An old joke between villains that Peter had not understood.

"It seems that you are very attached to Mysterio".-said The Scarecrow.-And he is seen having fun with Zemo. Tell me are you afraid of losing him?

"On the contrary." Peter replied. "I'm happy he's having fun. I don't know Zemo very well because he is usually the Captain's enemy, not mine, but I'm not going to go and tell my villain what he should or shouldn't do. Also, I am happy to meet you personally."

"Me?" Asked Jonathan, impressed, or at least that's what Peter thought, because he wasn't easy to read.

"Yes. I read your thesis about fear and its way of facing it."-Peter replied.-"It's really good. I hope you don't mind, but I am going to lose my fear of rejection right now and it will be with your help."

"Pleased to help." Jonathan replied, genuinely interested now. Peter didn't need to look around to know that everyone at his table was watching them. "Do you need a dose of my toxin? I could give you a discount, as these are special circumstances."

"Oh, I don't need any of that, Dr. Crane." Peter replied. "You see, I understand you met my mother, her name was Rachel Dawes." That had seemed to get everyone's attention, especially Two-Face. "Aunt May was her sister. She and Ben couldn't have children and decided to adopt me, although they always told me the truth, that's why I'm officially a Parker, but I call her Aunt May, because she has my custody and she has treated me like a son, although she has been more than aunt as been my mother."

"How old are you now?" Crane asked, visibly pale, raising a glass of wine to his mouth. His pulse was shaking and Peter could guess that he really didn't want to know the answer. The fear of him was visible, which was enchanting the others

"Twenty," Peter replied without taking his eyes off Crane.

Jonathan spat out his drink, staining Jervis. Clearly The Scarecrow was mentally doing the math. Two-Face hit the table, drawing the attention of those who were dancing near him, including Venom and Logan. Peter made a calming gesture to them and they talked again.

"This isn't fair, Crane," said Two-Face. "She chose me. You got along fatally, you argued over nothing and you were always on opposite sides. When did this happen?"

"Apparently twenty years ago." The Riddler replied laughing, clearly amused by the situation. "Oh, this is very funny. You'll see when I tell Oswald. You should tell your sisters, Jhonny. They're chicks and they don't even know it! Harley will be so disappointed that she will probably move to New York to get to know her girlfriend's nephew better. Did you tell Gordon that he is a grandfather?

"Do you have any evidence for this?" Crane asked, trying to ignore Nygma, but clearly nervous.

"Of course." Peter replied. "There's the letter my mother wrote, my birth certificate and you can take a paternity test if necessary. Are you afraid, Dr. Crane?"

The Scarecrow got up from the table, followed by The Hatter. The Riddler was laughing, drawing the attention of the other villains. Wade approached Peter, assessing the situation.

"Do you want to dance, Peter?" Wade asked. "Vanessa has suggested asking you to dance, since I've always wanted to do it with you. She means dancing, although she wouldn't mind doing more things with you. You set the limit."

"Very kind, Wade." Peter replied, heading with him to the dance floor, deliberately ignoring Quentin, who seemed to want to kill Deadpool with his eyes. It serves you well. Don't you like the feeling of being ignored? Peter wanted to tell him.

They swayed to the beat of the music. A slow, romantic dance. There was no awkwardness between them. Peter knew that Wade and Vanessa had an open relationship and he and Wade were always flirting, but at the end of the day, Wade would go back to Vanessa and Peter would stay with Quentin. So, as Peter had told Crane, there was no reason to be jealous.

"Can you explain to me what the hell happened there?" Wade asked. "Why that scandal?"

"Nothing of importance." Peter replied. "The Scarecrow has just found out that I am his son."

Wade stopped dancing instantly. And then, without warning, he yelled, "Are you kidding me?"

Peter looked around uncomfortably. That kind of reaction from Wade had already been expected.
