He heard the large man shout as he sat opposite number 4 privet drive on a park bench. Now-a-days he came here every day to listen and observe. The Boy in question will turn 11 soon and then he can make direct contact.
When he knew that the boy-who-lived with a horcrux in his head has been placed in a muggle home with blood wards, he was shocked and outraged. He fought with Dumbledore on this but finally agreed that no place in the wizarding world is safe for the boy till he turns 11. Death Eaters being the pureblood supremacists that they are were not at all used to the muggle world. There was no information regarding Lady Potter formerly Ms. Evans apart from her Hogwarts education records and her form to apply for Charms Mastery. Both records mention her mother and father's names and mention that she has 1 sibling. It's not known wildly that the sibling in question is a girl and that her name is Petunia Dursley néeEvans.
And so, he finally agreed with Dumbledore. Potter Manor can only be opened when the Heir and Last of his line Harry Potter is 11 and he will be safe within its wards.
It was truly unfortunate circumstances that lead to the death of James and Lily. His ancestral home Potter Manor was heavily destroyed by an assault lead by Lord Voldemort himself along with all his inner circle and many of his death eaters. It took them a long time to break through the wards and murder Charlus and Dorea Potter. Multiple Dark Marks cast over the entirety of Potter property prevented them from escaping through magical means and then when the wards finally broke, they gave a tough fight before dying providing a means for Lily and James to finally escape and save little Harry, the one destined to rid the world of the most powerful Dark Lord.
After his parents' deaths and damages to the manor, James and Lily moved to Godric's Hallow and cast the Fidileus Charm to keep themselves and their only son safe.
It took a long time to get Potter Manor fixed and all the wards to be recast. They came to know after the war ended from Gringotts that they have a legally binding contract dating back a few generations to repair and fix the Manor and other Potter properties in case of damage and destruction. It's also part of the contract that after the repairs are done and wards are cast only a Potter Heir or Lord can open and enter the Manor. And to get an Heir Ring, Harry Potter has to be 11.
"What took you so long? Come and clean this up!", he was pulled out of his reminisce when the large man continued his tirade.
He thought to himself, soon we will be able to take young Harry away from this people. Dumbledore wants to wait till the boy comes to Hogwarts to talk. He thinks different, the boy needs to be taught his history and heritage. He needs to be prepared for when the Dark Lord returns.
