The Fire that burns the Shadows, part 1

This was the only foretelling of the coming events, as Brokenstar has come across a strange kit whom he takes back to the camp. Now Firekit, this outside finds himself a new sibling to the other two kits, but when the push comes to shove he would find himself in a war that has yet to begin yet,

A blood red moon hung in the sky as countless eyes were turned to the blood soaked tall stone in the center of four trees, as a dark red dripping orange paw sat in the puddle as a pair of green eyes stares down at the body lying at his paws. His pale muzzle split by a wide scar across it with a pair of claw marks nearly closing one of his eyes, turning back to the cats his sharp teeth glimmered in the moonlight as he turned his head up to the sky and let out a loud yowl of triumph.

"Where did it come from?" a black tom asked looking down at the small bundle of fur lying at the paws of the patrol, as he leans his head down until he was nearly touching noses with the kit. It was shivering in the cold wind that ruffled all of the cat's fur inside the pines as the twolegplace lies behind the kit, his whiskers brushed the grass blades as he sniffed once at the bright ball of ginger. Before it opened its mouth and mewled in confusion.

A silver tabby tom arrived at the black tom's side as he lifted his head back up. "Definitely not a scent that I have ever smelled before, not kittypet or clan cat I have ever scented." The black tom murmured as he nosed the kit curiously before it grabbedonto his muzzle. The tom shook his head and straightened up, looking over at the dark brown tom behind him who scowled. "What should we do with him then, he's definitely alone out here so we're not about to be ambushed?"

The dark brown tom curled his lip as he straightened up. "'What should we do?' are you actually mad? We leave it behind, that little thing is weak and no matter how much we will need more warriors, there is nothing that runt could do for our clan and will just be another hungry mouth to feed!" he spat as his amber eyes burned into the black tom's pelt. "We move on and whether some twoleg will come to his rescue, or he'll starve or even freeze to death means nothing to us!"

The black tom bushed out his fur and flicked his tail. "No! The warrior code dictates that we help a kit in need, no matter whom or what they are… so either we are going to take him to our camp or I can carry him to the nearest twoleg nest!" he snarled standing up to the warrior with his own amber eyes blazing with frustration, before a scent coming down the breeze caught all of their attention. As a large white tom was heading towards him, his jet black paws grazing the needles as he was followed by a long haired dark brown tabby tom.

"Well now, what is the meaning of drawing your leader out of his nest?" grumbled the white tom as behind them a russet colored she-cat hung behind the two of them. All cats' attention was drawn to the kit lying at the border to the twolegplace; the white tom looked confused for a moment before he furrowed his brow. "You're all concerned about some kit? The other three clans could be invading us at this very moment, and you're all sitting on your tails here at the border!" he snarled.

"Hold on now Blackfoot." The dark brown tabby meowed coolly as he stepped past the cats, his tail broken half way down as he moved closer to the kit. The other cats moved to the side although the black tom was hesitant at first but moved to the side with a dip of his head with his fur bushing slightly as the dark brown tabby's paw came to a stop a rabbit nose away from the kit. As he looked the kit over very closely before turning to the cat, both cats locking eyes as he flicked his tail behind him.

"Grab the kit, the rest of you will continue on your patrol, but the kit is coming back to the clan."

A/N: Hello, sorry about my long hiatus, it's been hard to come up with ideas recently and I got a longer working job recently so I hardly been getting time to work on this hobby of mine, I love these stories but my days have only been getting longer.
