"Mmm." Ethan groans in a low tone of voice. He got up from his sleeping spot and stretched his back out. He opened his eyes and yep. Void. He sighs in frustration as he drifted in the void. He can't remember how long he's been in here. Minutes. Years. Regardless its just that. A cold, empty void. And all because he pissed off an honest to god wizard. Yeah. A wizard. Heh. It'd be funny to hear of it if it didn't happen to him.
Ethan then remembered something as a Void crystal floated on by. He grabbed a spike and drifted along with it as he climbed the crystal chunk. Void crystals are solidified void itself. Quite powerful in fact. When Ethan tried to smash one, It blew up with the force of 100 suns imploding. He should know. The void prevents death to him.
He grabbed his butterfly knife from his pocket and after flipping it a bit he began to lightly poke the crystal under him. He wants to see if the core can be useful. And besides he's got literally nothing else to do.
Ethan eventually after what he assumes was a day of chipping away the void found the core. It was like a liquid though. Ethan could tell its a liquid by the light reflective surface. And it had a blue glow to it. Giving color to Ethan's life once again. So it was no surprise that Ethan couldn't help but stare.
But you know what they say folks. Stare into the void for long enough. And the void will stare back. The Two white eyes in the liquid was the last thing Ethan saw before the pain registered.
Ethan finally came to in what he thought he would never see again and what he never thought that he'd be grateful to gaze upon. A bedroom. It was a while before Ethan registered the fact he'd been crying. And when he wiped his eyes his tears were forgotten when he saw what his hand looked like. Or more specifically what isn't there.
He could see the outline of his body but nothing else. He was completely empty. Only a small black and blue flame where his heart is at rested in his body.
'Fill the void.' A voice commanded. Shaking Ethan to his core. But he couldn't but feel the need to comply. He didn't like the feeling of no body.
He looked at the room and noticed that he wasn't even in the bed. He was in the middle of the room. It was pretty barren and only had a nightstand and bed. Ethan wandered to the nightstand immediately finding a book. He picked it up only for the book to be set aflame with the same fire Ethan had in him.
And then suddenly small little wisps began floating and orbiting his own flame. Turning the same colors as his flame. Meanwhile his own flame had been encaged by a bone rib cage shaped like a heart. Ethan felt some life in him and went back to the nightstand. He looked through it and felt his wisps be absorbed into what he assumes is his soul.
In the night stand he found only small trinkets that were of no use for him. And he needed to be whole once again or he is gonna go insane. He went to the door only for it to crumble and Reveal the void again. Only now it looked different.
Ethan didn't know what to think. But he has a few things to think about now. He then saw his body drifting on in the Void. He drifted over and suddenly he found himself back in his body. He gasps and almost cut himself on the butterfly knife he managed to still hold. He took a few deep breaths. Not noticing the specks of void crystal flaking off his hands.
He eventually regained his composure but the feeling of something new in him was still there. Ethan tried a few things and to his surprise a wisp forms in his hand. Albeit consuming his already damaged knife.
He played around with it and chuckled as he tried to juggle with it. The flame was black with a blue core. And Ethan was glad to have something to occupy him.
He looked to the floating room and noticed it was gone. Albeit the bed is still there. He drifted over and sat on it. Glad to at least have something to sit on.
"Now what though?" Ethan wonders. Only to flinch when he felt his hand cramp. He looked at it to see the wisp had engulfed his fingers. And when the wisp was put out in his fingers places were mechanical blade tipped fingers designed like his butterfly knife. He gave it a few experimental flexes as another wisp converted his other hand's fingers and smiled. "Well that is just cool." Ethan says. He Then noticed another void crystal.
"Fill the void huh?" Ethan wonders. "Well if that's the case then I'll fill it with whatever I want. If I'm stuck here I'm gonna make sure its damn good to live here!" Ethan says as he jumps off the bed to the void crystal. When he touched it he felt a sort of energy flow into him. Making him shiver as he began digging.
Eventually he found the core and instead of staring he plunged his hands straight in after the turned back into his regular fingers. And this time all he saw was white.
And Scene.
