Sideways raced along the streets outside Iacon with Autobot second-in-command and security officer, Prowl, hot on his tail. Another security officer, Streetwise, followed Prowl.

Sideways didn't know why they were chasing him, all he did was break into a storage building and steal a few weapons. He was just following Megatron's orders, they should know that.

Sideways saw an escape route. He increased his speed and made his way to a rickety old overpass that wasn't used anymore. It would hold his light cycle-mode and the Autobots wouldn't be foolish enough to follow him with their larger mass.

Seeing the path the Decepticon had taken, Streetwise skidded to a stop but Prowl kept going.

"Prowl! That overpass won't hold you!" Streetwise yelled.

"He's on it!" Prowl retorted.

"Yeah, but he's lighter than you",

Prowl paid no mind to Streetwise and drove onto the overpass, ignoring the creaking of the old material.

Sideways couldn't believe the Autobot had actually followed him! He had to reach the end of this overpass and fast, before it collapsed.

One of Prowl's rear tires broke through the road.

Scrap…

Prowl lurched forward, breaking free, but a few feet further, his whole backend fell through.

Prowl transformed and grabbed onto a solid section of roadway, then noticed it was breaking loose, too.

Scrap.

Streetwise saw the overpass give way and closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the shattering roadway and hoping Prowl would have a soft-ish landing.

The next thing Sideways knew, he was falling.

That stupid Autobot. He should have known he was too heavy to get on that old brittle overpass.

Prowl and Sideways hit the ground below, pieces of the overpass burying them.

Streetwise slid down the side of the ditch just as Prowl was crawling out from under the rubble.

"Prowl, are you okay?" asked Streetwise.

"I'm fine". Prowl said, standing up and reaching into the rubble to pull Sideways out by the arm. "Slap the cuffs on him".

Streetwise did as he was told while Prowl yanked the stolen weapons from the Con's storage compartment.

"We've got a nice cell with your name on it". Streetwise said.

"And you'll have plenty of time to get comfortable in it". Prowl said. He started to head in the direction of the Autobot base but winced and nearly fell down when he tried to take a step.

"Prowl, you sure you're okay?" Streetwise asked with concern.

"It's fine", Prowl grunted. "Just banged my leg a little, I'll walk it off".

Prowl tried to take another step and would have fallen down if Streetwise hadn't reached out and caught him.

"Why don't you wait here and I'll have Ratchet come and-?"

"I'M FINE!"

Prowl limped a few steps and let out an involuntary groan.

"I'm calling Ratchet". Streetwise said, activating his commlink and leading Sideways toward the base.

The Decepticon turned to look at Prowl, who was gritting his teeth. "You better not blame me because you got a boo-boo, it was your fault that overpass fell down".

A while later, Prowl sat in Ratchet's medbay as the medic scanned his right leg.

"You broke a support rod". Ratchet said. "It'll take a couple of weeks to mend itself".

"Great…" Prowl grumbled.

"I'll put a cast on it and then I want you to stay off your feet for a while". Ratchet locked eyes with the glaring second-in-command. "I mean it, Prowl. I better not catch you sneaking into your office to work".

Prowl knew it would be useless to argue with Ratchet.

The next morning, Streetwise walked into Prowl's quarters with a box of Energon doughnuts where the second-in-command was laying in bed with his injured leg propped up on pillows, frowning.

"Here's breakfast!"

"About time". Prowl grumbled. "It's almost 9 o'clock".

"Well I came in at 7, but you were still asleep".

"Did you check the prisoners?"

"All prisoners present and accounted for!" Streetwise said, giving Prowl a saulute. "I just got back from patrol, but I'm heading out again. I'll be back in time for lunch. See ya!"

Streetwise left the room, knowing the doughnuts would keep Prowl occupied for a while.

A while later, Prowl was running his finger around the bottom of the doughnut box, trying to get every crumb and icing drip there was when a knock came on the door.

"What?"

Jazz walked in. "I'll take that as 'come on in'!" he said. "Hey Prowler, just thought I'd drop in and see how you were doing".

"I'm bored out of my mind".

"Thought ya might be". Jazz said, giving his friend a sympathetic look.

Prowl's face lit up when an idea crossed his mind. "Jazz! There's a portable security monitor in my desk drawer, would you go get it?"

"I dunno man, I think it would be better if you did something to take your mind off work". Jazz said. "Hey, how about you let me sign your cast?"

Jazz took a step back when Prowl shot him an icy look.

"I'll go get the monitor". Jazz said, heading for the security office.
