Chapter 1: A new family

"No running James, camp rules!" Uncle Sid said as he blew a whistle. "oh" a sloth lady said as she sat down to look at Uncle Sid. "Make me, Sloth!" James yelled as he ran away. "Make me, sir!" Uncle Sid said, correcting him. "It's all about respect" Uncle Sid said to the sloth lady. "Ew" The sloth lady said. She walked away.

I am currently at Uncle Sid's camp, a camp he opened up a while ago. Kid animals come here to play and adult animals came here to hang out. my parents, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are hanging out somewhere here in the camp while I am hanging out with Sid. My wife, Johanna, and my husband, Cato were hanging out in the camp here and so were the rest of the careers, Marvel, Glimmer, and Clove. My best friend, Rue, and Aunt Prim were here also.

Rue and Aunt Prim were playing in the kid's section while Katniss, Peeta, Cato, Johanna, and the rest of the careers were hanging out in the adult section. "Jared, you just ate. wait an hour" Uncle Sid called. "Hector no, no, no, you can't pee-pee there" Uncle Sid said. "Okay there is fine" Uncle Sid said. "Ashley stop picking your...Agh!" Uncle Sid cried as some kids tied his legs together and hung him upside-down on a tree. Kids, Rue and Aunt Prim gathered around and a beaver held up a stick.

"Stop! You're supposed to wear blindfolds!" Uncle Sid said. "Okay" The beaver said as he covered his eyes. He prepared to hit Uncle Sid when James grabbed the stick from him. "Hey, it's my turn to hit the sloth!" James yelled. "Mine!" The beaver yelled. "Mine!" James yelled. They were hitting Uncle Sid with the stick as they were fighting over it. The beaver got hold of the stick and hit Uncle Sid hard on the head and Uncle Sid went flying out of the tree and landed hard on his face.

"Ouch" I whispered. The kids cheered and ran up to Uncle Sid. "Hey! You didn't have any candy in you!" The beaver whined. "Let's bury him!" One said. The others cheered and began digging a hole. The kids put Uncle Sid in a hole and the beaver jumped onto his head and pushed him down in the hole. "Hey, hey, woah! Who said you kids could torture the sloth?" Manny said, walking up to us. Manny was a big mammoth and he had brown fur.

"Hi daddy" I said. "Hey Lana" Manny said. Manny is my other dad because he decided to adopt me after I got lost. He helped me look for my family and when we found my family they decided to stay here with me until we could find our home again. "Manny, don't squash their creativity" Uncle Diego said with a smile. the rest of my family walked up to us. Uncle Sid then poked his head up from the hole.

"Hey, Manny! Diego! My bad mammals, jammels! Wanna give this sloth a hand?" Uncle Sid said. Manny wrapped his trunk around Sid and put him down beside Uncle Diego. "Look, I opened my camp. 'campo del Sid' it means 'camp of Sid'" Uncle Sid said. "Very impressive" Peeta said, sarcastically. "Congratulations.

you are now an idiot in two languages" Uncle Diego said. "And stupid" Cato said with a smirk. The rest of the careers giggled. "Shh! Not in front of the K-I-D-Z. These little guys love me. Right Billy, Prim?" Uncle Sid said with a smile. "Don't make us eat you!" Billy said. "Yeah!" Aunt Prim said.

"Aww, they kid. thats why their called 'kids'" Uncle Sid said. "I told you Sid, your not qualified to run a camp" Manny said. "Oh, since when do qualifications have to do with child care. besides, these kids look up to me. I'm a role-model to them" Uncle Sid said. The beaver was tying rope around Uncle Sid's legs. Uncle Sid didn't notice and got pushed by the beaver and James. "Ah!" Uncle Sid cried as he fell. "I can see that" Uncle Diego said.

"You guys never think I can do anything. but I am an equal member of this herd. I made this herd. So you need to start treating me with some respect!" Uncle Sid said. Uncle Sid then hopped away. "Come on Sid" Manny said. "Sid, we were just kidding" Uncle Diego said. I then looked at my family. "What was that all about?" Katniss said. "I don't know" I said. "Hey! let's play pin the tail on the mammoth next!" The beaver yelled.

"Sid!" Manny and Uncle Diego yelled. "I can handle this" I said. "Hey guys, let's go swim in the pool or something" I said. The kids ignored me and put their focus on Manny and Uncle Diego. "Wow, great job Lana" Cato said, sarcastically. "Hey, at least I tried" I said. "Well, it kinda didn't show any result" Peeta said. "Dad" I said in frustration. "Peeta!" Katniss shouted. "You guys don't think I can do anything either" I said.

"Come on honey, Peeta was just joking" Katniss said. "I don't think it was a joke, mom. I'm a equal member of this family too so you guys need to start treating me with respect, especially you, Cato" I said. I then walked off. "Come on Lana, come back I was just kidding!" Peeta said. I ignored him and walked off to find Sid. Eventually, Manny and Diego got the kids to settle down with a story.

When I found Uncle Sid, I saw him on the Eviscerator. I climbed up the cliff and decided to join him. "Hey Uncle Sid" I said when I walked up to him. "Lana? What are you doing here?" Uncle Sid said with shock. "My family was making fun of me so I wanted to show them that I can do things" I said. "Oh okay" Uncle Sid said. "Wanna jump off the Eviscerator with me?" Uncle Sid said. "Sure" I said.

Now I can finally show my family and Cato that I can do things around here. "Look! Some two idiots are gonna jump off the Eviscerator!" Someone shouted. "Okay! I'm gonna jump on the count of three!" Uncle Sid shouted. "I'm gonna jump on the count of three too!" I shouted. Uncle Sid and I then began counting down. "One...two..." We said. "Sid, Lana! Don't move a musle! We're coming up!" Manny yelled from below. The animals and my family gathered around to watch. Uncle Sid and I were up pretty high and everyone was excited to see us jump because they were all chanting "Jump! Jump! Jump!" Even Peeta and Uncle Diego were chanting with them.

Uncle Sid and I continued counting down until we heard Manny's voice. "Sid! Lana! What are you doing? Get down from there!" Manny yelled. "Come down now Lana!" Katniss said. I shook my head. "No, not until you guys treat me with respect!" I said. "No way! Lana and I are gonna be first to jump of the Eviscerator and then you guys are gonna have to start showing me some respect" Uncle Sid said. "Yeah!" I shouted. "So help me, Lana, you get down from there right now or I make you!" Katniss said.

"No mom" I said. "You two jump of this, the only respect your gonna get is respect from the dead!" Manny said. "Come on Manny, they are not that stupid" Uncle Diego said. Sid and I prepared to jump. "But I've been wrong before" Uncle Diego said. "Lana!" Peeta shouted. Sid and I jumped. Manny caught Sid with his trunk and Katniss caught me with her hand. "Mom, let me go" I said. Katniss ignored me and pulled me over to safety. Manny also pulled Sid over.

we screamed as we began sliding on the ice.
