UNIT SQUADS: ALPHA-1 HELIOS SQUAD, BETA-7 WATER SQUAD, NU-7 GAMMA SQUAD
LOCATION: ALASKAN WILDERNESS
DATE: 11/21/01
TIME: 11:32 PM
OPERATION CLEARENCE: OVERWATCH
It was the dead of night. 3 UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters were flying over a forest. The darkness of night made it look like a ocean of trees.
"Hey Helios squad, we are about 13 minutes away from our objective point, get ready." The pilot said.
You pulled yourself from the window of the helicopter's door and looked down at your weapon. It was a M4A1 with a EO3 Holographic sight, a flashight, suppressor, and a green laser sight that could also be seen on your night vision goggles.
Your night vision goggles were mounted to your helmet. You had two ndard hand grenades and two flash grenades. You also had a knife and a back pack. Your back pack contained standard supplies such as rations and a first aid kit.
You and your squad had been assigned to contain a newly found anomaly that was spotted in the wilderness. It was supposedly a pale beast with long sharp claws and was extremely hostile. It was contributed to multiple disappearences in the area. It was found when two undercover foundation employees had noticed something odd about the disappearences. One of the foundation employees had been inserted into the park ranger service and the other one into the local police department. They met up and discussed the oddities of the disappearences. These oddities were that bodies had been found but never in one piece. Police and the ranger service only ever found bones or pieces of bones. The Police Department however being in a remote area of Alaska didn't have the funds to buy the equipment needed to identify the bodies and so they never closed the case. Multiple FBI investigators had come to investigate the disapperances but they couldn't find anything. Or so the public was told. The fact of the matter was that the FBI did infact identify the bodies however they never released it to the public. Further investigation done by foundation agents implanted into the FBI found that the FBI did infact know of this creatures existence and had indeed tried to capture it. The people who disappeared were undercover agents sent in to scout the area and possibly bring in the creature.
That leads us to where we are today. The FBI had underestimated the entity and thought that it was just some maniac killing people for the hell of it. However we know better. While the FBI knew of the creature's existence they didn't know everything about, especially not the appearence. Two months prior to this operation we had sent in a team of four armed foundation personnel to investigate the area and try to get a picture or drawing of the entity. After three weeks of being in the forest only two made it out. They were able to snap a picture of the entity although the picture wasn't good. However they were able to physically describe the create. Almost as pale as the snow and approximately seven feet tall, arms at waist length with four fingers ending long and sharp claws, extremely skinny and a oval shaped head with a large mouth filled with two rows of what looked like very sharp and pointy teeth and 2 large black eyes. However luckily it was confirmed that tranquilizers did work for a time of around thirty second to a minute
Overwatch and command had worked for two months preparring a plan to cpature this entity as well as recieving resources for capturing it. Our plan was simple. We were armed with our standard issue M4A1 rifles with our standard attachments however in place of our usual USP pistol we were given a tranquilizer gun with 3 high strength tranquilizer darts. We were to only use our rifle if the plan failed. Our plan was to tranquilize the entity and place the entity in foundation issued high strength cuffs to cuff it's legs and feet, we are then to secure the entity in a cage similar to the one Epsilon-11 used on 173 to bring it to a helicopter, and finally we are to secure the cage in the helicopter so it can be taken to a nearby site for containment placement.
