"Today we welcome the Kingdom of M'arzz to the United Nations." Secretary-General U Thant said to the UN. Superboy watched as the crowd clapped while he kept his eye on George H. W. Bush who he was protecting from a possible assassination attempt. A boring mission for the young frustrated man. "We open the floor to G'ernn H'lum."
"Thank you Secretary-General." H'lum replied as the Green Martian spoke telepathically. "On M'arzz the people enjoy peace and unity, a peace and unity we hope to share on this divided world."
"Good luck with that." Superboy whispered.
"I agree with you on that." a Green female Martain remarked as she walked next to him.
"You're with the M'arzz embassy?" Superboy remarked.
"Yeah and I'm guessing you're with the Justice League or Teen Titans."
"No. Names Superboy. I'm part of the JSA."
"Oh, the Justice Society of America." the woman replied disappointed.
"Something wrong?"
"My uncle told me that the JSA was a team designed for propaganda by a corrupt politician who broke the laws she swore to protect."
"Waller can be a bit cold, but she hasn't broken any laws and who is your uncle?"
"My uncle is the Martian Manhunter." she replied and Superboy was surprised. Soon the delegates were getting ready to leave.
"Well I hope you enjoy Earth miss. Ah, what's your name?"
"M'gann M'orzz and I hope we can see each other again." the woman answered.
"I hope so too."
March 9, 1972 - Lex Corp Airship Alpha Echo, Atlantic Ocean
Lex Luthor drank some Cohen 1900 as his airship flew across the Atlantic. Waller wanted the man who built the Rocket Red armor in the US. Lucky for her Patrick Dugan was wanting to desert and Lex wanted help on Project S.T.R.I.P.E. A win-win. But Lex wanted to keep his hands clean of the desertion. So he hired Deathstroke and gave him an MH-82 Black Elk Jet Copter to get Dugan. Now Lex was waiting for the mercenary to arrive in his experimental airship. He had dozens of ships before Alpha Echo, each one failed. So far Alpha Echo was the most successful ship. He looked out of his window to see the copter flying towards his ship. Which means Deathstroke was successful.
March 17, 1972 - Harper Residence, Fairwood, Maryland, United States
Jade Nguyen-Harper held her baby boy Tommy Harper in her arms. Lian was at school while Roy was on a JSA mission. Roy offered a place on the JSA, but Jade disliked the US government to the extreme after the hell they put her through in Task Force X. All she want is to have peace and be a mother. She does own a Dojo and she enjoys teaching martial arts, but nothing beats her family.
March 22, 1972 - Stagg Defense Group, National City, Virginia, United States
"Simon, our families have been friends for years." Oliver said as he and Simon Stagg walked through the factory. Men and women were building M16s, M551 Sheridan, M24 Chaffee, M548 Cargo Carrier, and cargo trucks.
"Yes and I am grateful when your father bought the company in 21." Simon replied as he drank some water. Oliver wished that he wasn't here today.
"Simon, I'm here to take about the Phantom Project." Oliver said and Simon looked down.
"We've been trying Ollie, but the main problem is the energy source. We haven't been able to stabilize it while we try to open the Quratom barrels between the space-time continuum." Simon remarked.
"Palmer Tech, Wayne Enterprises, Kord Tech, Lex Corp, and dozen more companies from the US to the USSR are showing progress. But you haven't despite millions being funded into the project."
"While the progress on Phantom is slow, we've hand achievements on other projects." Simon pleaded as they walked into the break room. "Metamorpho for instance. The R&D scientists can be molded into objects thanks to electronic pulses."
"Which has cost millions more and no practical use for it."
"But we also have the Atomic Knight armor."
"You continued the Atomic Knight!" Oliver yelled as he slammed the table. "The Knight was canceled after a man was killed! Why the hell did you continue the project?"
"With Savage in charge of Russia, the world is on edge of a Nuclear Apokalplyse! We need tech like Atomic Knight to save the world!"
"We lucky not to lose a hundred lives when the Knight failed. You're risking thousands." Oliver said as he walked to the door. "Queen Consolidated is pulling all funding from Stagg Defense Group."
"No! You can't do that!" Simon yelled as Oliver grabbed the doorknob.
"I own this company and I am going to sell off the Group to recuperate the millions of dollars in losses." Oliver said as he opened the door.
"Go to hell you son of a bitch!" Simon yelled and Oliver closed the door. He walked towards the exit sadden that he had to do that.
March 25, 1972 - Training Field, Themyscira
Diana watched as Donna Troy, Darkstar trained her two daughters, Jania and Elizabeth Trevor. Diana was reminded of their father when she looked at them. His death was a great loss to Diana. She has been alive for thousands of years and ventured into man's world many times to stop Ares, Hades, Circe, Medusa, Queen Clea, Osira, and many more threats. Now she is back home with her daughters while her son Jason was on an RAF mission in Kahndaq. Her children were grown up and wanted to do good.
"Okay. Take five." Donna said and Diana's two kids went off to drink some water. Donna walked up the stairs towards the Princess. "Jania seems distracted."
"She is wanting to live life as mankind does. A normal." Diana replied and she accepted that. The superhero life isn't meant for everyone.
"So what will she do in man's world."
"She got a job as a surgeon in London."
"It's amazing how the world has changed in a few decades. Seventy years ago women were oppressed housewives now they can get jobs once belong to men." Donna remarked.
"Indeed it is." Diana said looking at the grassy field filled with practice dummies and weapons.
March 27, 1972 - Justice Hall, Moscow, Russia
Red Son was a prisoner of Savage. He wanted to erupt into hatred, but he couldn't thanks to whatever mental programing the man put in his head. Now the Clone watched as the JSR argued with each other. Russia was returning to the Imperialist ways and some members couldn't see it while others could. Red Son wanted to rip Savage in two, but he was trapped in his own body. He saw new members, the second KGBeast and Nuclear Man about to rip each other into pieces. Red Son would happily help Nuclear Man, but he couldn't. Lady Flash and Proletariat were yelling at the top of their voices while the Rocket Reds pointed their weapons at each other. Red Star sat at the table staring at Red Son. As far as the Society knew, he was still in control. Not Savage. They couldn't help him. Nor would they help him. Once he manage to regain control, he will destroy the Americans, then Savage and take command of the USSR.
March 28, 1972 - Saturn Orbit
Guy Gardner received a distress signal and being the closest Green Lantern, he investigated the signal. As he got to the source, he saw an unknown starship. He flew closer to see that it was clearly a damaged warship. Guy scanned the ship and found two lifeforms in a sealed chamber. He flew to an exposed area in the hull and used his power ring for light. He flew through the halls until he reached the sealed room. Guy created an Oxygen bubble and cut open the door. He pushed the cut metal and walked in to see a man in black and red armor with red horns on his helmet. A woman in purple and black armor similar to Wonder Woman's but there wasn't any cleavage and went up to her neck, along with disconnected sleeves, a silver circlet, and a streak of red hair.
"I am Guy Gardner of the Green Lantern Corps. Do you need any medical attention?" Guy said and the man in armor smirked.
"Daughter." the man remarked as the woman grabbed a hilt. A red whip extended as a black energy surrounded the whip. An energy barrier sealed the opening.
"Shit." Guy said and the woman wrapped the whip around his arm. The next moment, Guy was tossed into a wall. He created a green shield as the woman drew a sword from her back. She charged and struck the shield. Her blade broke through and she pushed it into Guy's stomach. He lost concentration and the shield disappeared. She withdrew the sword and Guy dropped to the ground.
"So a human can possess a Power Ring now. Interesting." the man said as he kneeled next to Guy. His ring glowed bright green and before the man smashed Guy's hand, the ring speed away while Guy screamed. The ring would search for a new Lantern or return to Oa. Either way, someone will learn of these two.
"Who are you?" Guy asked.
"I am Steppenwolf and this is my daughter, Fury. We are loyal commanders of our Lord. Darkseid." Steppenwolf answered and Guy wished he studied more of Oa's Archives.
"You won't win. Whatever planet you're going for, the League will crush you."
"The League?" Steppenwolf asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Fuck." Guy whispered as he noticed his blood mixed with fuel. Steppenwolf and Fury walked a few feet away and whispered. Guy grabbed a lighter and closed his eyes.
