Devoted Me 2 Chapter 1

In the Arctic Circle, there is snow and ice as far as the eye can see. And, Man, is it cold! There's not a lot to do. Even if you're a Russian guard at a top secret research laboratory, time still passed slowly. Unless…you have a deck of cards! Using an overturned barrel as a table, the guard engage in a serious game of poker. When one of them wins the game, he happily pulled the coins toward himself and does a celebratory dance, spinning around. When he finally stopped dancing, however he noticed that his coins are gone! He immediately accused the other guard of stealing them, but his opponent insisted he didn't. The winner threatened the loser with a shovel, when all of a sudden, it flew into the air! Then the metal barrel followed!

The guards looked up to see a gigantic magnetic ship hovering above the laboratory. Suddenly, a lab door opened and a bunch of fellow guards rush out, pointing their guns at the magnetic ship. WHOOSH! All of their guns are pulled up towards the ship, along with the guards themselves, who are strapped to the weapons! Next, the entire lab began to move off the ground. Terrified, all of the guards and scientists leapt out into the snow below.

With a final clank, the lab made contact with the mysterious ship. As it flew away, the remaining guards and scientists watching with open mouths. One of the guards was being chased by a snarling polar bear.

A sea lion landed on top of one of the scientist's head. And a bird pooped another guard and scientist. Three weeks later, top secret government agents view the security footage of the research station being magnetically stolen. ''We're still no closer to cracking this?'' a portly man asked in an uptight British accent. But there was no response. Meanwhile, a tall redhead woman named Agent Lucy Wilde who had adopted three girls called Margo, Edith and Agnes not long ago surveyed the scene in front of her. Yep, it's time. Not long after, the party is in full swing. The backyard is decorated with balloons and streamers along with a highly luxury-looking bouncy house shaped like a castle. Agnes, with a giant grin on her face, slid down a slide with her friends. ''This is the best birthday party EVER!'' she declared.

Edith, the middle-aged girl with blonde shaggy hair and wore a pink-striped hat, who was dressed as a ninja, climbed across the monkey bars over a pool with agility and acrobatic skills. "YEAH!" she exclaimed. Just then, Agnes ran into the middle of the yard and screamed. ''Oh no! A dragon is approaching!'' she said, pretending it was real. It was really Lupe the talking goat who Lucy had also adopted. She was dressed in a dragon costume. She bleated and quickly recovered herself. "Oh, I mean…GRRRRR!". "AAAAHHH!" screamed some kids, pretending to be scared. Then Agnes's eldest sister, Margo came out dressed as Joan Of Arc with a suit of armour and a mighty sword,

"Fear not! For that is I, Margo The Cleverest Girl, will protect you all from this monster!" she said. The kids all cheered and whooped. "RRRRRGGGHHHHH!" bellowed Lupe, then she broke off coughing, "Sorry. It was hard to make those sounds with all that coughing" she sputtered. Meanwhile, Lucy was cooking some roast patties when her phone rang "What?! She's not coming?!'' she barked into the phone, ''Whaddya mean she's not coming? It's my daughter's birthday today! I promised her to see a fairy princess!". But the person on the other line said no. "LISTEN!'' yelled Lucy, ''I don't need a refund, I need the fairy princess, Please, please, I'm beggin' ya!". The phone line beeped as the person on the other line hung up.

"Hello?! HELLO?! AARRGHHH!" growled Lucy. She looked down to see Agnes standing in front of her, "Oh, when's the fairy princess coming?" Agnes asked expectantly. Lucy thought fast, refusing to admit the truth, "Uh…any minute now, sweetie" she lied. "Yayyyy!" Agnes squealed with excitement and galloped off. A worried look crossed Lucy's face. ''What am I gonna do now?'' she thought. She turned to Lupe and instructed her to keep the children entertained for a new minutes. Lupe winked and immediately got right to work, directing the kids to sit in a semicircle on the grass. Then Lupe dressed up as a lion and asked Edith to be her assistant as a lion tamer. Edith held up a long whip and a chair. Then Lupe opened her mouth wide for Edith to stick her head inside! Luckily, Margo was there to intervene.

''Whoa! Whoa! OK all right, that's enough of the lion taming'' she said. "Awww," Lupe and Edith said, disappointed. Margo suddenly looked around. "Wait, did you hear that?" she asked the little girls. "It sounded like the twinkling sounds of magical fairy dust!" The kids gasped and looked around. "It's the fairy princess! SHE'S COMING!" exclaimed Agnes. "Look!" yelled Margo, pointing to the sky. Up in the air wass the fairy princess: Lucy! She was dressed in a puffy pink dress, fairy wings, glittery eyelashes and a tiara, and holding a wand. Edith's mouth dropped at the sight. At the top of the house, Lupe, who was still dressed in her lion costume, was struggling to lower the fairy princess down on a rope. But a fly buzzed around her. The goat waved it away with her hoof.

"SHOO! SHOO! GO AWAY!" Lupe yelled. But the fly kept zooming around her head. Lupe tried to hit the fly using her hooves and horns. Then she accidentally let go of the rope, and Lucy swung wildly, smashing into the wall of the house before crashing to the ground. "AAAAAAAHHHHH!" screamed Lucy. THUMP! Then she stood up and regained her fairylike composure. Adopting a high-pitched voice, she said the girls. "It is I, Lu-ShinkleBelle. The most magical fairy princess of all. I am here to wish Princess Agnes for the most beautiful birthday". Agnes beamed with joy!
