Author Update

Hello readers! I know this is the last thing you want to see when you notice a new chapter's been uploaded, but I have some good reasons for this.

I'm afraid I've been experiencing burnout the past few months or so. Honestly, I can't remember when it really started as I didn't even realize I was experiencing burnout in the first place. It was when I started feeling my creative and personal drive spark back to life did I understand what had been happening. My new job has also been kicking my butt so that doesn't help.

Unfortunately, this story was affected as well, from a lack of drive on my end to posting chapters that I stopped being proud of. The last chapter I uploaded I really hated. It shoe-horned Adelaide's family into the story awkwardly and I mostly uploaded it to give you guys a chapter of sorts. This led me to think about the rest of the story and while I recognize I've grown as a writer, there are a couple of the chapters (including the family one) and details that no longer work well. Part of this is because this is my first try, but part of it is also because what I originally imagined for Seamstress's side of lore ended up being different to what I have now.

Am I going to reupload the story? I do not intend to. It is not so drastic of a scenario as most of the chapters still work and there are a few of you who have followed and favorited my story, so I do not wish to mess that up for them.

Chapters I am Going to Change Completely:

When Heroes Meet (I know it's the first chapter but their first time meeting each other goes from 0 to 60 too fast)

Family, Am I Right? (Might just scrap this chapter all together and start with the new arc. I'll come back to it at a later time.)

Details I am Going to Change:

Grappling Gun.

I don't know why I made this a thing. It really doesn't make sense with her magic abilities. From now on Ribbons will be used to wrap around anything that could hold her and grab onto ledges. They're not sticky like Spider-Man's webbing, so she has to be creative with it.

Riona: Aggressive vs. Assertive

She came off really harsh and kind of awful. As someone who hates confrontation, I am still trying to find the right balance for Riona, a fierce and guarded character who really has a heart of gold.

Seamstress's Outfit

Technically, I already did this, but I am going to change the Author's notes and just have it described the right way from the get-go.

Addie's Reason for Moving to New York

Instead of a job, it's an internship. It's a temporary position and the reason she needs to work at FEAST.

You will see these changes hopefully soon, but all at once so we can get back to a good rhythm. I know this is Fanfiction but I care about my story and hope you guys will stick around.
