The next day was the report. Everyone would be interviewed by Gavril. I was excited to see Alice's interview.

"America. I know that tonight is an exciting night for us all as the country gets to finally hear from the twenty-five remaining women in the Selection. I can't begin to express how excited I am for you to meet them. I'm sure you will all agree that any one of these amazing young ladies would be a wonderful leader and future Queen. Let's start off with Tanya, Princess of Sweden."

Tanya acted like an angel, but she's far from it. She acted too confident and self-centered, too.

Alice's report went smoothly.

"Princess Alice, you are from Germany?" Gavril asked.

"Yes."

"And how were you able to get a lady to come with you?"

"I wasn't coming unless Bella came. We go everywhere together. We grew up together. Protective, and worried. Always. She once knocked out an armed man to protect me."

"Wasn't that hard. Just dodging bullets." I flipped my hair back.

"Why don't you come on down here? I would love to hear that story."

I shrugged. I rose and went to sit next to Alice. King Edward was glaring at me.

"Now tell us the story. You knocked out an armed man?"

"I was trained in martial arts and self-defense, all to keep the princess safe.

"We were shopping, as usual, when a man came over to us. He took out his loaded gun and pointed it at Alice. I took immediate action. I started running towards him, dodging bullets. When I reached him, I knocked the gun out of his hand and used it to knock him out."

He looked surprised and impressed.

"I was protecting my princess and best friend. We grew up together."

"That is very impressive. Ever thought of being a bodyguard?"

"No. I don't want to be one."

"So we can count on you to protect us, right?"

I pursued my lips. "Depends on how many enemies there are."

He sighed. "Well, I hope we can hear more stories. But before I let you go….Princess Alice, how do you feel about the Prince?"

"He's very sweet and kind, not what I thought he'd be like."

"He worries about them. They all mean a lot to them. He's protective, kind, caring, gentle and stubborn." I added.

"And how do you know this?" Gavril asked.

I blushed. "I watch from afar."

"Thank you, you two. Stay safe."

We rose and went to sit in the tiers.

Edward was smiling at me.

"Bella." Edward said, walking into my room.

"Why was I put into a guest room?"

"Dad wanted you in a servant's room. Mom said that she'd like you in a guest room, since you are a guest, and in the end, she won."

"Well, tell your mother I said thank you."

"Of course."

"You're too beautiful for your own good. Once you leave, we'll have to send some of the guards with you. You'll never survive on your own, poor thing." He said all this with mock pity.

"I can't help it." I sighed. "One can never help being born into perfection." I fanned my face as if being so pretty was exhausting.

He sighed. "No, I don't suppose you can help it."

I giggled. I watched him open the balcony doors and step out. I got off the bed and followed him.

"I was thinking we should create a way to communicate." I said.

"Yeah? What are you thinking?"

"Tugging on the ear."

He grinned. "Perfect."

He swung around, taking my face in his hands. He crashed his lips to mine, making it sweet, passionate and full of love. I let out a moan as he swiped his tongue against my lips. He pushed me backwards until I was against the railing. He helped me sit on top before darting his tongue inside me.

He kissed me one last time, helping me down.

"I have something for you." He told me. He took something out of his pocket. It was a beautiful silver necklace that said my name. "That way you won't have to wear a name pin."

"Thank you."

He kissed my forehead and left. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

I doubt that the whole "knocking out an armed man" could ever happen, but I wanted to do it.
