Chapter 1: Painful Flashbacks

Jaytee shook his head. He cursed under his breath, furious about what happened today.

Jaytee spotted his girlfriend Fiona kissing Sonic in the latter's apartment. Seeing that Sonic's eyes showed that he was trying to fight back from the kiss, the ninja shot the vixen a glare, ordering her to get off the blue hedgehog.

"So," said the ninja, "it appears to me that I didn't know you well."

"Huh?" replied Fiona, pretending not to know anything at all.

"You can lie to me," scowled Jaytee, "but you can't lie to yourself. You know what you have done, cheater! And it's gonna be a cycle, you with your old tricks!"

Fiona felt offended by what Sus Ninja said.

"Hey!" yelled the vixen. "Is this how you treat a lady?! Show some respect, you sussy baka!"

"It doesn't matter because I don't show chivalry to you!" retorted the ninja, causing Fiona to gasp in shock. "I already told you that cheating on me will earn you a harsh punishment. You, however, deafened yourself to my words. You deserve to have your reputation tarnished by me!"

"You..."

"That's it! This is the final straw! I am fed up with your kind and I want you out of my life!"

Offended and fumed, Fiona tried to slap the ninja, but Jaytee painfully punches away the slapping hand and gives her a hard slap that knocked her onto the floor. He spotted some money in her pocket and stole all of it.

"I pity you, Sonic," said Sus Ninja, handing back the blue hedgehog's money. "you don't deserve to be kissed by a player like her."

"Thanks, dude!" smiled Sonic. "I'd like to see Ames beat the living crap out of that cheater when she comes back. See you around, Sus!

The ninja waved back, taking out his knife to scare the beaten-up player. The latter shivered, looking at the scowling faces of the two boys. Then, Jaytee teleported.

Sus Ninja muttered,

"Hmph, that player got what she deserved!"

He growled as the memory of Fiona calling him his no-no name was stuck on a loop. He felt like he got ejected into an ocean of regrets, asking himself why did he choose to fall in love when love itself can be manipulated?

"Everyone in the gang has a lover," murmured the upset hero, "Sonic with Amy, Silver with Blaze, Tails with Livvy, Shadow with Maria, Espio with Tikal... I'll never have a girl who will truly love me."

The ninja thought of his dead family. Oh, how they loved him so much. Oh, how every precious second was used for loving each other. Oh, how he missed his family dearly.

Love.

The four-letter word shattered him. Both backstories tortured him so much that he felt like crying. But like a ninja, he manages to hold himself. He declared,

"The ones I loved the most are dead. Now, this one I loved cheated on me. I will stay single, so none of this will happen again!"

Then, he went to sleep.
