I don't remember much of last night but all I remember is that last night was AWESOME. I think I was drunk, according to Grover, but I shouldn't really trust him, knowing Grover he probably got drunk too. Maybe I should ask Annabeth.
Anyway, it all started yesterday morning when I woke up to banging pots. I groaned and opened my eyes slowly. There stood my brother Tyson banging a pot with my girlfriend Annabeth. Ok, what? Its barely even 7:00 and I like to sleep in until the very last minute until I have to get up to have breakfast with the rest of camp half-blood. But they HAD to wake me up early today of all days. I thought they were going to let me sleep in since it's my birthday, but NO. I slowly started to get out of bed, usually I would have been slower but their crimes gave me a motivation to make them PAY. I shoved past them and locked myself in the bathroom, I could still hear Annabeth giggling and saying, "Come on Tyson, we can meet Percy there for breakfast." And finally they were gone. I sighed with relief and looked and myself in the mirror. I was a mess. I guess I never realized how bad I looked when I had just woken up. My hair looked it had been through a hurricane, and I definitely had some crust at the corners of my eyes.
I got ready and attempted to flatten my hair at least a little. By the time I got to the mess hall breakfast was over and everyone was slowly filing out. I scanned through all of the cabins lines searching for Annabeth. To my surprise I didn't see her anywhere, or Tyson. Where could they be? After a few more minutes of searching I have up and finished up my breakfast to go to sword fighting class. But before I could, Chiron made an announcement, "Campers, as you know, tonight, we are going to have a very violent and brutal game of hide and seek in the woods, instead of capture the flag, so get ready. There will be many monsters hidden through the woods, so be on your toes as you find a hiding place. That would be all, thank you, you may go back to whatever you were doing." Man this was going to be so cool, maybe me and Annabeth could hide together and do stuff while we're hiding… I'm was getting ahead of myself, on to sword fighting class.
As the day progressed, I still didn't see any sign of Annabeth or Tyson, anywhere which was weird, because in a normal day I usually got to see them a lot, I usually also got to see Grover a lot, but he took some kind of trip with his girlfriend Juniper, and he won't be back for a few more days. By the end of the day I'm tired confused but also excited for a monster filled hide and seek. I probably won't even be able to hide with Annabeth like I wanted to. My mind wandered off as Chiron began to speak instructions, the only thing I caught from his instructions were that we had 5 minutes to hide since the woods were so big, and soon enough everyone was running to hide and I heard Will Solace and Lou Ellen starting to count. I started running, not knowing where I was going all I knew was that I needed to find somewhere hidden and safe. After about 10 minutes I hadn't encountered anything or anyone yet, I wondered how many monsters were in the woods in the first place. After a few more minutes I heard a high pitched scream that sounded a lot like Annabeth's, the only time I've ever heard her scream is when there are spiders. I started to run again trying to figure out where the scream had come from. I stopped running in front of a clearing that was completely pitch black. I tried my best to look around, but my search was stopped, when the clearing suddenly lit up. There stood all of the campers, and among them was Annabeth and Tyson, and wait, Grover was there too, along with his girlfriend Juniper. Everyone started singing happy birthday and I didn't get a chance alone with Annabeth yet. After everything died down and everyone started mingling and eating cake. I finally got some time alone with Annabeth and she told me that I didn't see her and Tyson that day because she was here organizing the party. After we talked and kissed for some time we rejoined the party, and then the alcohol broke out. I remember drinking a lot of beer and getting in a leaf fight with Grover, but that's really it. After a few more hours of drinking and partying with everyone I suddenly blacked out, but when I woke all I could think of was that it was the kind of night that I would remember for the rest of my life.
