Hour 4: Packs and Teams

A/N: Heyyyyy everyone, it's Trey-El here with the third chapter of Doubutsu Sentai Zikanger.

DISCLAIMER: The Super Sentai brand belongs to Toei, the characters are mine however.

Let's Begin.

"Things are heating up guys.", Chiaki said behind her console, "I think it's time to combine."

Inside of his mech, Dillon nodded, "Right. Everyone, follow my lead."

"Shouldn't we think this through though? This is our first time doing this." Sierra interjected from her mech.

"You do have a point; but as it stands, the quicker we do this, the quicker we defeat the monster." Malik chimed in.

Hiro growled from his mech, "You all talk too much."

He then zipped his mech off towards the enemy with Dillon calling after him.

"Hiro! Don't be an idiot!"

He then moved his mech forward to stop Hiro's.

"We need to combine!" he said.

"You can't even successfully lead us to do that. Step aside, I'll handle this." Hiro explained.

"Can you two stop arguing and focus on the real enemy? It's getting old." Sierra said.

Hiro kept racing towards the monster with Dillon continuing to follow close behind.

"Shut it down!" Dillon yelled.

"No!" Hiro responded.

The monster then charged up a beam from it's mouth and shot it at the five mechs, destroying them all.

From inside their base, the five teens took off the VR headsets they were using and sighed. They'd been trying to successfully combine the VR mechs almost all day and still couldn't get it done. Nearby, Takahashi, Daemon, and Shay look on with disappointed gazes.

Dillon turned to Hiro with a glare, "Would it kill you to stop being a dick for once and follow my lead? I had the entire thing planned out."

Hiro returned the glare, "If that was what you call 'planned out', then yes, it would kill me. Besides, you cousin was hesitant as well."

"I was, but I didn't try to go all Rambo on the monster now did I?" Sierra responded.

"Guys, relax." Malik said.

"No, we can't relax. This is the tenth time we've tried this simulation and we still can't do it because the blue boy here can't get over the fact that he is no longer leader." Dillon said.

Hiro stood up and turned to Dillon, "Watch your mouth Franklin."

"Or what?" Dillon replied, also getting to his feet, "You're gonna fly off and do something stupid?"

Hiro went to step forward, but Chiaki stepped in front of him. She then turned to Dillon and Sierra.

"I think you should take Dillon home Sierra." She said.

"Your brother started it! He's the person in the wrong here." Dillon claimed.

"Says the person who keeps egging him on." Sierra stated before getting to her feet as well.

Dillon turned to her, "You too now?"

Sierra rolled her eyes, "Can we just go? You acting like this does nothing but make this situation worse."

Dillon opened his mouth to say something, but instead shut it and stormed off. Sierra sighed before walking after him.

Malik watched them leave before standing as well, "That means I should get going too. I'm their ride after all." he said.

Giving a wave to Chiaki, Malik then left the base. Once she was sure Malik was out out of earshot, Chiaki spun around and smacked Hiro in his chest.

"Ow! What was that for?" he asked.

"For being the one to mess up the simulation." Chiaki replied, crossing her arms.

Hiro scowled, "What? So what about Dillon and Sierra? You know, the times he couldn't get a correct order out or when Sierra was double guessing us doing the combination?"

"See, they apologized afterwards. You didn't." Chiaki explained.

She then walked off towards her room on the ship.

"Don't understand her sometimes." Hiro said to himself.

"Well son, I wouldn't worry about it too much considering your first day is tomorrow." Takahashi said.

Hiro looked up at his father, "You aren't serious."

Takahashi looked back to him with a smile, "Yes I am."

"I'm just saying, I don't really understand the point of having a car if you're riding the bus every morning." Sierra said as Malik, Dillon, and herself got off of their school bus.

"Like I said, it's to save gas. Speaking of which, when are you two going to get your licenses?" Malik asked.

"Eventually. Besides, it's our business anyway, not yours." Sierra said shortly.

Sensing the rising tension, Dillon quickly stepped in-between his cousin and Malik.

"Can you two stop arguing please?"

"I should ask you the same question since you and Hiro tend to argue all the time." Sierra responded.

Dillon's expression turned sour and he rolled his eyes, "Okay whatever. You obviously want to be left alone for whatever reason, so I'll grant your wish."

After bowing to his cousin, Dillon briskly walked away. Sierra tightened her jaw and walked towards her friends. Malik shook his head and simply looked forward. As he walked, he saw a car roll into the parking lot. From the car came Hiro and Chiaki, with Hiro keeping his irritated expression he usually had. Chiaki caught his look and gave Malik a smile and a wave with the jock returning a small wave back before continuing on into the school.

Elsewhere, a woman walked out of her office building and quickly scanned the parking lot for her car with her green eyes. Running her fingers through her brunette hair, the woman sighed.

"Wish I could leave this job." she said to herself as she walked along.

Suddenly, she felt something press into her back and electricity surged through her. Dropping to her hands and knees while groaning in pain, the woman's eyes began to turn to an electric blue. The pain then stopped and the woman turned to find some kind of watch device on the ground with the image of a wolf in the center. Watching nearby as the woman picked up the TokiZyu Timer, Zei smiled mischievously.

Walking out of their school, Malik and Chiaki continued their conversation regarding the simulation.

"We need to get everyone on the same page if we want to successfully pass the simulation." Chiaki said.

"You're right, but that's not something that will be easy to do. Dillon and Hiro can't get along to save their lives and even Sierra gets annoyed with them from time to time. It's only you and me with our heads on straight." Malik explained.

"My head is always on straight." Hiro said as he approached the two, followed by Dillon and Sierra, "It's just that the three of you shouldn't even be helping us."

Sierra scoffed, "So you'd rather we just let you and Chiaki die? Duly noted."

"We would of found some way out of it." Hiro shot back.

"Not from what I saw. You were getting your butt handed to you." Dillon said.

Hiro narrowed his eyes at his teammate, "Didn't ask you for your thoughts on the matter."

"I know. I just don't need you permission to give them." Dillon replied.

Before anything else could be said, a beep went off from their changers. Dillon pulled his out and activated it.

"Everyone, there's a TokiZyu attack happening at a local bank." Takahashi said through the changer.

"On our way." Dillon stated.

"How are we going to get there though? I left my car at home." Malik explained.

"We've taken the liberty to design motorcycles for you. Summon them and hurry there." Takahashi said.

Nodding, the five ran behind a wall nearby and transformed before crossing their left arms across their chests. A blue light shot out of their raised changers and, similar to a 3D printer, created motorcycles in front of them. For the most part, the bikes were the same and all looked similar to modern day sports bikes. However, the rims on the wheels had a thin light running around them that matched the color of their Zikanger and the fronts of the bikes had colored animal heads matching their Zikanger as well; a red Gurrath for Dillon, a blue Windrunner for Hiro, a yellow Stegoichthys for Chiaki, a green Gigantelope for Malik, and a pink Rattleback for Sierra.

The five boarded their motorcycles, but as Hiro and Chiaki started theirs up, they heard the others let out nervous chuckles and turned to them.

"So...how do we work these things?" Dillon asked, letting out another chuckle.

A blaring siren sounded off from the local bank as the Wolf TokiZyu sauntered out of the building, throwing the money in her hands into the nearby van. She went to run back into the bank, but the sound of approaching engines stopped her in her tracks.

"Stop right there TokiZyu!" Dillon announced, bringing his motorcycle to a stop alongside the other Zikangers.

The Wolf TokiZyu let out an irritated sigh, "I suggest you five leave." she said.

"Not happening." Hiro said, cracking his knuckles.

The Wolf TokiZyu briefly looked over the teenage heroes before howling. Afterwards, three copies of the Wolf TokiZyu emerged from the bank as the original walked back into the bank.

"I'll take one of the wolves on my own." Hiro then announced, running towards one of the robots.

"Hey!" Dillon shouted, running after his blue teammate.

"Dillon!" Sierra said before one of the Wolf TokiZyu tackled her.

Before Malik and Chiaki could move towards her, they were attacked by the last TokiZyu and had to resort to fighting instead. Sierra was trying her best to avoid any attack from the Wolf TokiZyu she was facing, rolling across the ground and shooting at it using her Zikan Shooter. As she did so however, the monster let out a howl and a new Wolf TokiZyu tackled Sierra, clawing at her body. Sierra used all of her strength to keep the Wolf TokiZyu off of her, shooting the other one as it tried to get close. She eventually kicked the one on top of her off and got to her feet, keeping both TokiZyu in sight. Another howl was let out and a third Wolf TokiZyu grabbed Sierra from behind and tossed her away. Hitting the ground with a thud, Sierra struggled to her feet in time to see the three Wolf TokiZyu charge their claws with energy and flung them towards her at full speed. The attacks hit Sierra dead on and caused an explosion that knocked her even further back. Landing on her back once again, Sierra untransformed and groaned in pain.

Hiro threw a punch at his Wolf TokiZyu, but the monster ducked the attack and slashed towards the approaching Dillon, who barely dodged the attack and stumbled towards Hiro.

"What are you doing?" Hiro asked.

"Can't have you making orders. I'm the leader and we're supposed to, you know, stick together?" Dillon replied, glaring at the blue Zikanger from behind has visor.

Hiro scoffed, "Stay out of the way Franklin." he said before rushing at the Wolf TokiZyu once again.

"Hey!" Dillon called after him, running forward as well.

The two males attacked the Wolf TokiZyu, but they were swiftly blocked before being slashed across their chests. Dillon summoned his Zikan Shooter and aimed at the Wolf TokiZyu. The second after pulling the trigger however, Hiro got in the way of the shot in order to try attacking the monster, but was instead hit by Dillon's beam. The Wolf TokiZyu then took this opportunity to slash Hiro again, sending him sprawling.

"Hiro!" Dillon called out before being struck by the Wolf TokiZyu as well.

The wolf robot then chuckled before directing energy into her claws and slashing at the two Zikangers, sending them flying into the air and landing roughly on the ground, their suits disappearing. The Wolf TokiZyu then joined her four other copies. The five surrounded Malik and Chiaki, who both braced themselves for an attack. The first of the five robots tried to slash Malik, but he quickly evaded their claws and kicked it away as another began to attack him. On her end, Chiaki was doing her best to keep distance between her and the other three TokiZyu, shooting at them as they tried to reach for her.

A yell then caught her attention, and she turned to see Malik get slashed by one of the two monsters he was facing. This momentary lack in focus allowed the three robots to swarm her, knocking her blaster away before slashing her repeated as the other two did the same to Malik. They then threw the two in the air before sending an energy wave at the two, with connected with them. Malik and Chiaki then fell, losing their transformations as well.

The head Wolf TokiZyu then exited the bank, letting out a howl that made her five copies disappear as she made her escape, leaving the five teens on the ground. Hiro was the first to rise to his feet, grabbing Dillon by his hoodie.

"I said I had it! Why did you jump in?!" he yelled.

Dillon shoved him backwards, "Because believe it or not, I don't want you getting yourself killed!" He responded.

"Guys, now isn't the time." Chiaki said as she and Malik helped Sierra back to her feet.

"No, this needs to be addressed." Dillon responded, glaring at Hiro, "You're loner attitude isn't helping anyone here. We could've won if you'd of just stayed back and helped us come up with a plan."

"Can you two cut it out? We need to get out of here and regroup." Sierra said, clutching at her side.

Dillon let out a sigh and began walking towards his cousin, but Hiro stood still, continuing to glare at Dillon.

"Hiro. Let's go." Chiaki commanded softly.

Hiro instead turned away from the group and walked off in the direction of the Wolf TokiZyu.

"Where are you going?" Dillon asked.

"To find and beat the TokiZyu." Hiro replied, turning back briefly, "On my own."

He then continued walking, leaving the other four staring at him.

"That might of been the funniest battle yet!" Zei said, laughing, "Did you see red and blue arguing?"

"For the fifth time, yes, I saw." Zik said, clearly irritated.

Zei frowned, "Sorry that I just want to have fun."

"We aren't here to have fun." Zik said, striding over, "We are here to ensure our future stays the same."

Zei looked down from the building they were on and saw her Wolf TokiZyu drive her van into the alleyway, stumbling out of the vehicle. With a howl, the robot suddenly dropped to the ground and transformed back into the woman it was created from. Taking a glance at Zik, Zei jumped off of the building with the Wolf TokiZyu Timer in hand. The woman looked up at her and tried to move away, only to find that she couldn't.

"Don't bother." Zei said, "We have work to do."

She then pressed the Timer against the woman's back, forcing her to once again transform into the Wolf TokiZyu, who let out a giant howl.

"Idiot." Dillon mumbled to himself as he leaned against the table back at HQ, crossing his arms.

"You know Hiro is like that Chiaki." he heard Takahashi say.

"I know dad, but it isn't productive. Besides, what if he gets himself hurt?"

"Then he gets himself hurt." Dillon once again mumbled, only to get punched in the shoulder by Sierra, who glared at him.

"What?"

"I know you're pissed at him, but weren't you the one who saved his life out there?" Sierra asked.

Dillon sighed, "Because he's my teammate. Doesn't mean that I like him as a person. All he's done since we got here is be upset that you, me and Malik are Zikangers. He won't even listen to me even though I'm supposed to be the leader of the team."

"He doesn't think you're qualified like he is Dillon. Surely you can understand the feeling that someone else is in the spot you feel like you should or want to be in." Malik said nearby.

Dillon turned to him, "I do, but at least my moments like that don't risk the lives of other people."

"Hiro wants the best for the world." Chiaki suddenly added, having walked over to her three teammates, "I'm sorry for his behavior, but he has good intentions in the end."

"Yeah, the intention to get himself killed. If all five of us couldn't beat the TokiZyu, what chance does Hiro have alone?" Dillon asked.

Chiaki sighed, "We need to go find him. Maybe I can get his head on straight."

Malik shook his head, "I doubt it's going to work Chiaki. He doesn't seem to really listen to you either."

"And if he won't listen, then that's on him. I'm certainly not going to bail him out if he gets in trouble since he can't listen to reason." Dillon said.

"To be fair, you don't listen to reason either." Sierra countered, followed by Dillon rolling his eyes.

Hiro walked the streets briskly, looking into every alleyway. His changer had told him that the Wolf TokiZyu was nearby, but he had yet to find the robot. As he was looking, he suddenly ran into another person's body. Looking forward, he saw three toned males in front of him.

"Nice watch you have there." the one on Hiro's left said.

Looking down at his changer, Hiro scowled, "Thanks. Can you step aside now?"

"What's the rush?" the male on his right asked, "Can we try it on?"

"No." Hiro replied simply before his wrist was grabbed by the male in front of him.

"Wasn't a question. Hand it over."

Hiro was about to respond when he suddenly saw movement behind the male.

"Look out!" Hiro exclaimed, shoving the male out of the way of the Wolf TokiZyu's claws.

It then swung his claws at the blue Zikanger, but Hiro blocked the attack and kicked it away. The three males ran away as Hiro pulled out his Zikan Timer.

RUNNER! TIME STARTING!

"Zikan Change!" Hiro said before pressing the red button on the side of his changer.

ZIKAN BLUE!

Fully transformed into his blue suit, Hiro summoned his Zikan Shooter and let out a few shots towards the robot, who effortlessly dodged the bolts. Letting out a frustrated huff, Hiro sent another round of bolts at the Wolf TokiZyu, with the final one catching the robot in the shoulder. Hiro pressed his advantage and hit the robot in the gut with the butt of his blaster before following with an uppercut. The TokiZyu wined in pain as it held its jaw.

"Cut the sympathy act." Hiro said coldly, "I'm going to free the person inside you and protect humanity's future!"

When he went to move in for another attack, the Wolf TokiZyu let out a howl and two copies of it grabbed Hiro's arms from behind and hold the blue Zikanger in place. The main Wolf TokiZyu ran forwards and slashed Hiro across his chest, sending the teenager sprawling. Hiro groaned in pain as he looked up at the three TokiZyu, holding up his gun.

An alarm sounded out through the base, alerting everyone to the table in the center of it. The four Zikangers looked on as they saw Hiro fighting the three Wolf TokiZyu.

"Huh, guess he did end up finding the monster." Dillon said to himself.

"He needs or help." Chiaki announced, "We have to go."

"Nope. He said he doesn't want our help remember? Why should we jump to help him exactly?" Dillon asked.

Sierra scowled at her cousin, "We should still help Dillon. Regardless of how he acts, he is still our teammate."

"Easy for you to say considering he doesn't constantly ignore you." Dillon replied, crossing his arms.

"Even so," Malik said, "He still needs our help. You and him don't have to get along while we all have the same goal. He wants to protect the future and so do we."

Dillon looked at Malik before sighing and tapping his foot on the floor.

Hiro was sent sprawling by another attack as the Wolf TokiZyu's clones stalked him. He struggled to stand, so he instead aimed his gun at them. Just as the two robots jumped towards him, four pillars of light came between them and knocked the robots away. The lights then faded to reveal the other Zikangers.

Hiro groaned as he got to his feet, "Step aside. I have to-"

Dillon hit Hiro on his helmet to stop the blue Zikanger's words, "Enough of that crap. Listen, I don't really like you and you obviously feel the same. Regardless, we need to put that aside and deal with this monster and the only way we are going to do that is if you follow my lead and stop acting like you can do everything yourself."

Hiro glared at Dillon behind his helmet as Chiaki walked up to him.

"Just try it Hiro. It's better than getting yourself killed." she said.

Hiro went silent for a few seconds before huffing in frustration.

"Fine. If anything goes wrong though, I'm going in and doing it myself."

"Fine by me." Dillon said as the four Zikangers summoned their own blasters and opened fire on the Wolf TokiZyu clones, who recoiled at the shots. Chiaki, Malik and Sierra engaged with the two clones as Hiro and Dillon ran at the original one. Malik and Sierra kicked one of the copies as Chiaki shot the other, keeping it from reaching her teammates. As the riddled copy lost its footing, Chiaki quickly switched her aim towards the Wolf TokiZyu being punched and kicked to add damage to it before switching back to her TokiZyu as it got back up. Malik and Sierra then grabbed their TokiZyu and threw it into the other one, knocking both down as the two stood on either side of Chiaki, all three inserting their Zikan Timers into their blasters.

ZIKAN CHARGE!

The three rangers the slowly steadied their aim, the barrels of their guns shining in their respective colors.

"Fire!" they all called, pulling the trigger.

ZIKAN BURST!

Three balls of colored energy came out of their blasters, making direct contact with the two Wolf TokiZyu, who both sparked and started moving sporadically before falling over and exploding.

Meanwhile, Hiro went for a roundhouse kick, but it was swiftly dodged by the original Wolf TokiZyu, only for it to be shot in the chest by Dillon, who followed up with a punch. The two Zikangers then kicked the TokiZyu, sending in sprawling on the ground before it raised into a crouch. Growling at the two teens, the robot leapt at them, but was quickly shot down by the two. The wolf robot then let out a pained growl as both Hiro and Dillon readied their Zikan Shooters and aimed at it, pulling the trigger.

ZIKAN BURST!

As the red and blue energy balls came at it, the Wolf TokiZyu crossed its arms in front of itself to block the attack. The robot's legs buckled before its arms finally gave out and the two blasts connected flush with its body. The Wolf TokiZyu then dropped to its knees before falling forward and exploding. On the roof overlooking the area, Zik and Zei looking on, with the latter having a frown plastered on her pale face as she watched the Wolf TokiZyu turn back into the woman Zei had found, with the Zikangers sitting her against an alley wall nearby.

"Damn Zikangers..." she grumbled to herself.

Zik sighed, "On to the next I suppose."

"Not exactly." a female voice then said.

The siblings looked behind them to see a woman in a black and white suit looking and them with her red eyes.

"Mya!" Zei called out, catching the attention of the Zikangers.

On her end, Mya nodded at Zei and held her hand out, "Wolf Timer."

Zei quickly handed the device over and backed away as Mya's hand began glowing in red energy. She then held the Timer outwards and sent a blast of red energy into the sky.

"What gives?" Dillon asked as he watched the blast streak across the sky.

It then suddenly stopped and exploded into a blinding ray of light that the Zikangers shielded themselves from. When the light died down, the teens were surprised to see a giant version of the Wolf TokiZyu, who gave out a giant howl before slashing at the nearby buildings.

"We got anything for that?" Sierra asked worriedly.

Their changers then beeped as Takahashi's voice came on.

"You need to summon your mecha now! Put your Timers back into your changers and press the button!"

Wasting no time, the Zikangers did as they were told.

SUMMON TIME BEAST!

Five color-coded analog clocks appeared in the sky and one robotic animal came out of each one. The five clocks gave way to a red Gurrath, blue Windrunner, yellow Stegoichthys, green Gigantelope, and a pink Rattleback. Hiro and Chiaki jumped flawlessly into the cockpits of their respective mechs.

"Time Beast Runner, active!" Hiro called.

In her cockpit, Chiaki cried, "Time Beast Ichthys, active!"

"Can we even make that jump?" Dillon asked, staring up at his mech.

"The siblings did it." Malik said as he and Sierra jumped into their cockpits, landing more roughly than their fellow Zikangers.

"Time Beast Gigant, active!" Malik shouted.

"Ow..." Sierra groaned to herself, briefly rubbing her back, "Time Beast Rattle, active."

Dillon took a deep breath and backed up a few steps before running and jumping into the air towards his mech, flailing. He then slammed into the seat, fighting back a pained cry as he did so before grabbing the controls.

"Time Beast Gurrath, ouch, active!" Dillon called out through deep breaths.

As the Wolf TokiZyu looked at the mechs, Hiro suddenly announced, "I'm going in."

Time Beast Runner shot forward, attempting to slice the Wolf TokiZyu with its wing.

"Hiro..." Dillon growled before charging forward with his mech, the others following behind him.

As the Wolf TokiZyu tried to slash Hiro's mech, it was suddenly rammed by Time Beast Gigant. The robot then turned to slash at the green mech, but Sierra used the hard backplates on Time Beast Rattle to deflect the attack as Time Beast Ichthys jumped and bit the Wolf TokiZyu on the arm. The Wolf TokiZyu then let out a pained howl, summoning two copies of itself.

Scoffing to himself, Hiro jerked his controls towards the two. Before he could reach them both Dillon's Time Beast Gurrath suddenly pounced onto one of the robots.

"We taking these two out together. No more lone wolf crap." Dillon announced.

Despite himself, Hiro chuckled, "Whatever." he then flew his mech into the other copy, slashing it.

The two used their mechs to relentlessly slash at the wolf robots, rushing past them before either robot could respond back in kind. The wings of Time Beast Runner and claws of Gurrath then charged up in colored energy.

"Wind Slash!"

"Gurrath Strike!"

The two mechs then once again slashed the two Wolf TokiZyu, destroying them.

"Yes!" Dillon exclaimed from his cockpit.

"Don't celebrate just yet." Hiro said, "We still have a TokiZyu to defeat."

"I know, and I think it's time we tried the thing." Dillon replied, rushing his mech over to the others as they knocked down the last Wolf TokiZyu.

"Are you sure Dillon?" Sierra asked from her cockpit.

Dillon smirked under his helmet, "Why not? I'm feeling lucky."

"If it doesn't work?" Malik asked.

"It will. Trust me."

"Let's do it!" Chiaki exclaimed.

The last Wolf TokiZyu got to its feet as the five Zikangers gripped their controls tightly.

"Time Gattai!"

Time Beast Gigant and Rattle leaned forward on their front legs, their heads aiming forward as their bodies stood vertically, splitting apart in the air with their legs folding inwards. Time Beast Gurrath then jumped into the air, aiming its hind legs at the opened bodies of Gigant and Rattle, the bodies of the two mechs closing around Gurrath's hind legs as it stood upwards. Its chest then opened to allow the arms to fold into the cavity behind it before closing back up with Gurrath's tail laying flat against its back. Time Beast Ichthys then split down the middle vertically, its tail collapsing into the two halves of itself. The two halves then attached to either side of Time Beast Gurrath, creating arms as Time Beast Runner flew above. The breast of the mecha bird separated from Runner's main body, attaching itself to Gurrath's chest as the rest of Time Beast Runner attached to the back. The head of Time Beast Gurrath then looked forward, opening its mouth to reveal a silver face with blue eyes.

"Complete! Zikan King!" the five Zikangers announced as the robot posed.

The Wolf TokiZyu growled at the robot and charged forward, being met swiftly with a punch from Zikan King. As the wolf monster reeled, Zikan King punched it again before kicking it down.

"Gigant Kick!" Malik called out, Zikan King kicking the Wolf TokiZyu with it's right foot made of Time Beast Gigant's head.

The Wolf TokiZyu stumbled back while holding its face before taking a swipe at the robot with the claws on its right hand.

"No way. Rattle Block!" Sierra said, thrusting her controls forward.

Zikan King then raised its left leg and used the plates on Time Beast Rattle's back to block the slash, cracking the claws of the Wolf TokiZyu. Whining in pain, the Wolf TokiZyu stared at its right hand before being kicked away.

"Let's end this!" Dillon exclaimed, "Hiro. Chiaki."

"Got it!" the siblings responded.

Time Beast Ichthys' dorsal fins lit up with yellow energy as Time Beast Runner's wings fully extended. Zikan King then took off into the air as yellow energy fins projected from the robot's forearms. It then stopped its ascension and looked down at the Wolf TokiZyu before rocketing down towards it.

"Zikan King: Future Break!" the Zikangers called out in unison as the robot crossed its arms, slashing the Wolf TokiZyu with the energy fins.

The Wolf TokiZyu stood still, sparking as Zikan King landed on the ground before falling backwards and exploding.

"Future Changed!" the team called out as the robot posed and stood still.

Looking up at the scene, Zei scoffed.

"We will see you lose one day, Zikangers." she grumbled to herself.

"And to think the king sent me here to help avoid that." Mya said mostly to herself before turning and walking away, followed by Zik.

Zei took one last glare at Zikan King before turning away and following her fellow teammates.

The Zikangers walked back into their base, Dillon stretching and letting out a relieved sigh.

"Nice work team. We finally managed not to mess the mech fight up."

"We who?" Sierra replied, "You and Hiro are the ones who messed it up."

Hiro and Dillon glared at her, but Sierra shrugged.

"Just telling the truth. You two need to start getting along."

Dillon stared at his cousin a little longer before smiling, "I'm sure Hiro will trust in my decisions from now on."

Hiro rolled his eyes, "I guess so. I still think you can't plan correctly."

Dillon frowned, "Excuse me? I successfully led everyone to combine." he countered.

"Which you did while having nothing more than just a 'lucky feeling'. Its a terrible basis for a plan."

"It worked though didn't it?" Dillon asked.

"And it could've easily resulted in us dying. You didn't even have a back up plan." Hiro shot back.

The other Zikangers, Takahashi, Shay, and Daemon all shook their heads as the two teens kept going back and forth, with Chiaki and Sierra keeping the two males separated.

A/N: And with that, another chapter of Zikanger is finally done. This would be the part where I make an (honest) excuse for why this took so long, but there isn't one. I've just not had the motivation to finish any new stories/chapters. That said, I wanted to finally get this chapter out so that I could finally begin work on the next Byte and Zikanger chapters alongside the other two stories I want to work on (both are reboots of previous stories). I won't make any promises that I'll work on stuff faster and get stuff out quicker, but I am back, just understand that if there is silence regarding updates and whatnot, I'm more-than-likely perfectly fine, just not making too much headway on a chapter/story.

So, as always, if you liked this story, don't forget to review, follow, and maybe even favorite this story. Even if you didn't like it, try leaving me some constructive criticism to tell me how I can make the story better (this extends to the people who may like this story as well).

Till Next Time, Happy Reading Everyone and Stay safe in these trying times ~ Trey-El ;-)
