Sam fell off the bed, but her laughter was still as powerful. She just heard of what happened to Dash from Star and Paulina, and she could not stop laughing. "They're idiots!" she exclaimed as she laughed more.
The three girls had a sleepover in Paulina's house and discussed things that they all have in common. And those are the opinion of the teenage boys in their life. "Oh, my stars… " Sam stayed on her spot on the floor and panted, taking gasps of breaths. "Danny is as stupid as I remember. When I had a crush on him, he couldn't put two and two together until I said it to him directly."
"You guys dated, right?" Star asked.
"Well, yeah. But it only lasted a month. We figured that we're better being friends than being a couple."
"But, is he queer?" Paulina piped up on the bed.
Sam rubbed her chin and actually considered the possibility. "I don't actually know…" Sam replied honestly. "He had never shown interest in other guys before. But there was this one guy…"
"Oh! Tell!" Paulina said, leaning in to hear what gossip Sam has.
Sam shook her head. "It's um… Kind of a love-hate relationship," Sam explained, "this guy and Danny fight and exchange banters, and sometimes, it's ridiculous enough to look like it was flirting."
"Oh! Like that "Enemies to Lovers" trope!" Star said, eyes sparkling as she recalled all the stories she had enjoyed.
Paulina and Sam laughed, and the rest of the night, the three shared gossips, and Sam ranted about how her parents are beyond unbearable and yadda yadda yadda.
