Danny stood in front of the manor, feeling like a little kid again. His parents came with him for moral support and if things go haywire with his offer. He didn't tell his parents about Vlad being a halfa because that wasn't his secret to tell.

Danny breathed a sigh and knocked curtly on the giant doors.

Not a moment too long, the doors opened to reveal the older man, and the amusement and shock in his eyes to see Daniel in his Phantom form on his front porch surprised him. His lips formed into a scowl. "What do you want, Phantom?" Vlad asked sharply, "here to make another mess of things?"

Danny resisted the urge to roll his eyes. If it wasn't for Vlad, then Danny really wouldn't make a mess.

"No," Danny said, as calmly as possible, careful to not let any venom escape his statement. "I came to make a truce."

Vlad eyed him, suspicion making its way in his mind. He leaned on his doorframe, readying his energy in case there would be some sort of trick. "Why?"

"Vlad, we might not like each other but we are the last of our kind. If we keep fighting each other, we'd perish. And, I know you're been holding back. I've been holding back too. We don't really want to hurt each other, so, why should we keep fighting?"

Vlad stared him down, and Danny squirmed from his position underneath his gaze. He was uncomfortable. Danny looked down, not really wanting to look Vlad in the eyes right now.

Vlad's laughter cut him off guard and he looked up to see a smiling Vlad, and he made up his mind that he liked Vlad smiling. He liked how his dark blue orbs sparkle when he laughs. "That was as corny as the fields themselves," Vlad commented, and Danny had to bow his head again to hide the furious blush, although he knew he can't hide it when it reached his ears.

Danny raised his head slightly when he saw the hand outstretched to him. He smiled and giddily shook his hand, thankful that it went well.
