The Australian Outback. Day.

In the Australian Outback, there was an anthropomorphic pink male hippo walking alone. His name was Murray. Murray was a hippo who used to be a member of a gang of thieves called the Cooper Gang. Murray was the brawn, Bentley was the brains and Sly Cooper, the thief. The trio of thieves have been best of friends for as long as they could remember. Then, just 4 months ago, a tragedy happened that shook Murray to the core.

That event was the moment in which his best friend Bentley got crippled by a flying metallic owl named Clock-La. Bentley's crippling depression had put a deep hole inside of Murray's heart. It got to be so bad that it forced the hippo to leave the gang that he'd been in for a long time. Sly and Bentley tried to talk Murray out of quitting the Cooper Gang, but Murray wanted to be alone for a while. He had heard of a guru in Australia that could calm down his nerves. That was what Murray was in Australia for. The pink hippo walked in the Australian Outback desert. It was a barren wasteland. Murray continued to walk.

Meanwhile, a few miles away, there was a large tank. The tank was huge. Inside of the tank was a human woman. The woman looked to be in her mid twenties. She had beach blonde hair that was short. She had a couple huge strands of hair that were strewn about atop of her head. The woman was wearing a green T-Shirt. She wore jeans. The woman's name was Rebecca Buck a.k.a. Tank Girl. She likes tanks. Tank Girl was a woman who drove a huge tank around. Rebecca lived in the tank along with her mutated kangaroo boyfriend Booga.

Tank Girl was in her tank. She was reading a magazine. Her boyfriend Booga was just hanging out. Tank Girl was listening to one of her favorite music artists Joan Jett on her cassette player.

Murray saw a huge tank in the distance. At first he thought that it was a mirage. As he got closer, Murray noticed that the tank was not a mirage and was in fact real. Murray wondered why a huge tank was doing out in the Australian Outback for. The hippo walked up to the tank.

Tank Girl stopped what she was doing and operated her tank. Rebecca drove her tank toward the hippo. She drove her tank slowly. Tank Girl maneuvered her tank to follow Murray. She moved the tank in front of Murray. Rebecca stopped her tank. She got out of the tank. She walked over to the hippo. The hippo was a bit overweight. He had dark pink skin. He wore a cyan blue T-shirt with a cape around his back. He wore some pilot's goggles over his eyes. Rebecca had never seen anybody like Murray before. She wondered what a person like him was doing all by himself out here in the Australian outback.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?" Rebecca said to the hippo.

"I want some spiritual guidance." the hippo said to the human woman.

"Why? Did something tragic happen to you?" Tank Girl asked Murray.

"I don't want to talk about it now." Murray said to Tank Girl.

"Who are you?" the human woman asked the pink hippo.

"I'm Murray." the hippo said. "What's your name?"

"Rebecca. Some people call me Tank Girl." Tank Girl said.

"Why do people call you Tank Girl for?" Murray asked the woman.

"Because I have a big ass tank. That's why." Tank Girl said.

Murray then was surprised to see a gigantic tank sitting all alone in the desert. It was a huge tank. It looked like the sort of tank that the U.S. Military would use in combat in war. Murray wondered why the woman he just met had a tank in her possession.

"Why do you have a tank sitting out here for?" Murray asked Tank Girl. "Is this tank your's?"

"Yes, it's my tank. Why wouldn't it be?" Tank Girl asked.

"Just wondering." Murray said.

"You look pretty hungry and thirsty. Do you want to come inside my tank?" Tank Girl asked Murray.

"Sure." Murray said. Murray followed Rebecca into the tank. She opened a door on the tank. Rebecca and Murray went inside of the tank. The interior of Rebecca's tank was cool. It had a couch on one area, a kitchen in another area. The driver's side of the tank was just past the living room area of the tank. The driving area was huge. It had a bunch of knobs and switches on the driver's side of the tank. Murray had been inside of a tank a few times. This environment was pretty cool to Murray.

"What do you think of my tank house?" Rebecca asked the hippo.

"You live here?" Murray asked Rebecca.

"Yeah. I live here. Got a problem with it?" Rebecca asked Murray.

"Not really." Murray said.

"Good." Rebecca said.

The human woman walked away from the hippo. The hippo took in the spectacle of Tank Girl's place. He saw a male anthropomorphic kangaroo walk into the room. The kangaroo had brown skin. The kangaroo wore human clothes. The male kangaroo was listening to the radio. He was minding his own business. The kangaroo's name was Booga. Booga was Tank Girl's boyfriend.

"Hi, my name is Booga." the kangaroo said to Murray.

"Hi, Booga. My name is Murray." the hippo said.

Tank Girl walked back in the living room. She saw Murray and her kangaroo boyfriend Booga talking to each other. She was impressed.

"I see you've met my kangaroo boyfriend Booga." Tank Girl said to Murray.

"This kangaroo is your boyfriend?" Murray asked Tank Girl.

"Yes, he's my boyfriend. You got a problem with it?" Tank Girl asked Murray.

"Yeah. Why is this kangaroo your boyfriend?" Murray asked.

"Because he is. Why the f**k do you need a reason for?" Rebecca asked.

"I don't know. I was just wondering." Murray said. Tank Girl sat next to Murray. Murray couldn't help but feel comfortable around her. Murray hadn't really been around girls all that much. He wanted to talk to Rebecca; to want to get to know her.

"How did you and your kangaroo boyfriend meet?" Murray asked the human woman.

"Me and Booga met when we were little kids." Rebecca said. "We meet when Booga snuck into my tank one night to pinch a pair of my underwear."

"That's disturbing!" Murray said.

"I know!" Tank Girl said happily.

Tank Girl and Murray talked to each other for a little while. They were starting to get to know each other. This was how Murray met his very first girlfriend.
