A/N: Thank you all for the support that you have given this story I honestly never thought I would get this number of views or even favorites and followers when I started writing this story, but I did, and I am forever grateful. This chapter is where things are going to be taking a Derek turn with the government having Meredith but I will try to not be to graphic. And you are going to learn who the mole is. I'm going to try and finish this story before the year ends but I make no promises and I only have 6 chapters left in this story.

Chapter 18

She felt nervous walking up to the warehouse that Lili had sent her to come to and worried that if anyone had recognized her then her cover was going to be blown. Shaking her head her black hair bounced against her back she was just being paranoid nobody even knew where she was going, she just left the hospital like she was going on her lunch break but in truth she was doing something so much more important.

When Lili had convinced her to join the CIA as a surgeon, she had no idea that this would be the kind of stuff that she would be doing but here she was doing something she never wanted to be a part of. But she had also sold her soul to do this so she had no one to blame but herself.

Getting closer to the door of the warehouse she saw that the guards that Lili had whenever she had to interrogate someone were standing guard at the door and when they saw her approaching the more muscular one asked, "State your name and the business that you have here."

"Cassandra Lynn Parker. Lili St John told me to come her because there was someone inside that she needed me to take care of."

The guard nodded and punched in the code before opening the door wide enough for Cassandra to walk in. Cassie looked around the warehouse and followed the sounds of someone getting hit and what she saw nearly had her drop the backpack that she was wearing that was filled with medical supplies.

Meredith Grey was handcuffed to a metal chair and her entire face with covered in bruises and from what she saw Castello was still hitting her even though she had lost consciousness. But the thing that had Cassandra's stomach turning was the state of Meredith's knees it was almost as if someone had taken a drill to them because of the size of the hole in them showed that her kneecaps had been taken out and it would take months of surgery before she could even think of returning to OR.

Lili turned around and saw her closet friend and dropped the sinister smile for a real one and within seconds Cassandra knew that she had made the wrong decision to join the CIA. But they had been the only reason that she had been able to go to med school but with the state that Meredith was in she hated herself.

Lili walked over to Cassandra and replied, "You take a break boys. Cassie it's good to see you. I know that you said that you didn't want anything to do with this but the boys were a little to overexcited when they were told they could do anything that they wanted to Meredith and as you can see Castello took a drill to both of her knees for revenge on taking his medical license."

Cassandra didn't know how to reply but watched in horror as Paul Castello spit into both of Meredith's knee and she knew that her already damned knees could get an infection from that. Looking at Lili she asked, "What do you want me to do?"

"Patch her up to the best of your ability. She'll be going to a hospital soon enough."

Cassie walked over to Meredith and immediately knelt down and swung the backpack off of her shoulder and onto the ground beside her for quick and easy access. Blood mixed with spit was seeping from the wounds from Meredith's knees and knew that she had passed out from the pain that she had no doubt been in when this had happened.

Cutting the jeans that Meredith had been wearing to above her knees Cassandra couldn't help but feel like this was her fault. She had been the one telling them where Derek was and had given them the information that led them to being able to capture Meredith and because of that her knees were severely injured.

Being as gentle as she possibly could Cassandra looked over and did her best to take care of her knees but knew what she was doing wasn't going to do much. All types of bacteria was getting into Meredith's knees and if she wasn't rescued or given the proper help soon, she could end up losing both of her knees because of Lili allowing her men to do whatever they wanted to Meredith.

Castello wanted revenge and because he was once a doctor, he knew exactly what he was doing to cause the most pain to Meredith. Wrapping the ace bandage around both of Meredith's knees Cassie was doing her best to be gentle when Lili asked, "What are you wrapping them for?"

Cassie looked Lili in the eyes and replied, "To prevent them from getting anymore bacteria in them because the way that they are now she had a high chance of getting them amputated. What the hell were you thinking Lil? I get that you had your orders but you could have possibly taken out of the best surgeons at Grey-Sloan. People come from all around requesting that Meredith does their surgery on them because the name Grey means that they are getting the best."

Lili scoffed, "It's almost as if you are feeling sorry for her Cassie. Don't forget that she is the one that kept Derek Shepherd away from us. You are the one who has been passing us the information about them. As far as I'm concerned, she is getting what she deserves."

"And as far as I'm concerned, she deserves to be treated with kindness. She is a surgeon not a prisoner that needed to be tortured but it's always been this way with you since that mission went wrong in the Cayman Islands you aren't acting like yourself and it's not something that I can't support anymore. This is the last time that you are going to contact me and I'm turning my resignation in at the CIA."

Cassandra started walking to the door after she put the backpack on her shoulder and Lili followed her and asked, "So your just quitting? What happened to the girl who would do anything to get a job done?"

"She became a surgeon and that's all I want to be. Good bye Lili."

Lili continued to follow her friend and was yelling at her so she didn't hear the sound of people outside the warehouse until it was to late. The door slammed open and at least two dozen police officers and they were swarmed by them all holding guns wearing vests.

The one who seemed to be in charge stated, "Get on your knees and put your hands over your head."

Cassie was quick to follow the directions but Lili felt like fighting but knew that it would only get her shot because of the number of officers with their guns trained on her. She got on her knees and put her hands on her head and they were quickly handcuffed and escorted out.

The operation leader then pressed the earbud in his ear and stated, "Premises is secure and Meredith Grey has been recovered. Call an ambulance."
