A/N: Thank you all for the support that you have given this story I honestly never thought I would get this number of views or even favorites and followers when I started writing this story, but I did, and I am forever grateful. I'm going to try and finish this story before the year ends but I make no promises and I only have 3 chapters left in this story. I have no idea how to write Catherine Avery's character but I am going to try my best. I am also going over my list of story ideas to decide which I am going to write next.

Dynasty

Chapter 21

"So, Cassandra Parker was a spy for the CIA and had only joined Grey-Sloan to get close to Derek to get him to work for the NIH and when he escaped she was the mole giving them information on where he was. Which let them get to Meredith and she had to have both of her legs amputated because of the trauma that they endured. Is that everything?"

Miranda Bailey looked at Catherine Avery and replied, "The only thing that we haven't told you is that Cassandra Parker is out on because of the plea deal that she took and is on her way to talk to us about what made her do that."

Richard Webber looked at his one-time student and said, "How did someone like her get out because of a plea deal. The part of the CIA that she joined is responsible for Meredith's injuries and why Derek had to make one of the toughest decisions of his life. What kind of information could she possible give people to make them let her out?"

"Apparently, she is giving a list of names of people in the government, CIA, and in hospitals that were on the payroll. So, in return she is getting off with a fine and has to go through a trial to see if she will keep her medical license. But what is that going to do for Meredith and Derek? Her whole life has changed."

Catherine Avery had kept quiet for the moment before she looked at Bailey and asked, "Didn't Meredith have a meeting with you the night that she was taken? What was it about?"

"She wants to change her specialties from general to neuro which she would have done from the beginning if her and Derek hadn't had a fall out. She couldn't have come any earlier that day because Zola had the father daughter with Derek and they had spent the day getting them ready. Someone must have grabbed her when she got back to her car."

Silence fell throughout Bailey's office as they all took in what had happened when there was a knock on the door and they all knew that it was Cassandra arriving for the meeting with all of them to consider her future at Grey-Sloan if she kept her medical license.

"Come in."

Cassandra walked into the office and it looked like she had had a hard time of everything that had happened but not as hard as a time as Meredith. Seeing that it was not only Miranda Bailey but Richard Webber and Catherine Avery had Cassandra swallowing hard because this could only mean that she was going to be let go even if she kept her medical license but she didn't blame them after all what the group she had been with had done some horrible things to get Derek back and none of it had worked.

Richard Webber was giving her a glare that nobody would have wanted to be on the other end of, it was no secret that he loved Meredith like a daughter and a lot of people knew it was because he had been close to her mother Ellis but no one really knew how close. Catherine Avery looked at both Richard and Miranda and hoped that they would be able to control their tempers in this meeting, she then stated, "Sitting down Ms. Parker."

Cassie sat down at the table across from them and said, "Is this meeting because of the information I gave regarding Dr. Grey and Dr. Shepherd."

She figured that it would be smarter to not say either of their names as all of Grey-Sloan had heard what she had done and nobody was even looking at her anymore, she even lost her closet friends within the hospital but she had done it to herself she supposed. Bailey replied, "For starters I also need to know how you even got into Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital."

"Of course. When I had first joined the CIA, it was just so that I could go to medical school as they told me that they would pay for all of my student loans because I wasn't in a place where I could afford them because of growing up in foster care. My best friend Lili St. John had already joined so she recommended me to take the spot in Grey-Sloan. They had wanted someone in the medical field to be placed at Grey-Sloan to see if we could try and get Derek Shepherd to join the brain mapping that we had just started. And when he did, they thought they finally had someone who could bring their work farther then it ever had been until he decided to resign to be with his family. My bosses hated that fact and decided that they would capture him until he finished doing the work that he started until he escaped and got back to his family. From that moment on I was told to give them information about every move that they made until they could strike but I never gave any information about anything outside of Meredith and Derek."

Cassie fell into silence and started picking at the corner of her nail a nervous habit that she had since she was a kid that she never had been able to get rid of. Miranda Bailey then looked at her and asked, "Is there anyone else working for the CIA in this hospital?"

"No, I was the only one."

"Good, because everyone is this hospital needs to feel safe Dr. Parker and I am afraid that with you in the hospital they will no longer feel that way. Because no one will be able to tell if you are going to go back to your old ways. You're fired. Collect all of your stuff and hand in your ID."

Cassandra nodded before saying, "For what it's worth I really enjoyed working here while I was able to. I know that I have no right to ask this but how is Meredith doing?"

You could hear the rage in Richard's voice as he stated, "That is no concern of yours. As your one of the people who caused her to have life changing injuries that she is going to be dealing with for the rest of her life as is Derek."

Cassandra swallowed hard because she knew that it was true that Meredith had been so severely injured because she had passed on the information that had led to her getting captured and to Castello taking a drill to both of her knees and she knew that it was going to be lucky if she kept her license after everything that had happened. Cassandra then replied, "I know that I have no right but can you tell Meredith and Derek that I am so sorry for what happened I would appreciate it."

She then walked out of the room and Bailey stated, "The nerve of the girl to even think that we would give her any information on what is going on with Meredith after all of the damage that she caused. But Meredith is taking it like she always does like nothing is going to stop her."

"She's always been like that and this time she has Derek to support her and their kids instead of her having to do everything by herself."

Catherine Avery watched as the two teachers talked about their one-time students before standing up and swung her purse onto her shoulder and said, "Well now that that's taken care of I'm going to go see if Harriet is up so I can spend some time with my grandbaby."
